hey jess. we all make slip ups were only human. the important thing is to pick yourself up and start again. besides a piece of cake is ok as long as you do it in moderation. I have lost over 165 pounds and Im still working on teh rest now. it takes time, but the worst thing you can do is keep berating yourself. your human you will make mistakes we all do. remember noone is perfect. instead of a lazy day.. maybe a long walk will give you time to think and reflect on your goals and how you can achive them.
as far as your roommate being more popular.. maybe you need to put yourself out there a bit more and get to know some people. make some new friends so you wont envy him so much. just a few thoughts..
good luck on your journey. be well

Hey, I'm back again in the group.
Sorry I've been away a lot. Work has kept me incredibly busy (in a good way!)

BTW--sorry to hear about the loss of your friend-- depression can totally take its toll on your mental and physical well-being-- Allow yourself to cry if you need to, and if your family isn't supportive, then seek out friends who will let you lean on them. If all else fails, get some grief counseling-- trust me, It will help to make you feel better. When my hubby & I turned 30, we lost his brother, mother & grandmother in a span of 3 months. The prior 6 months, I lost my grandmother....
We were a mess for a while because we didn't do the grief counseling. It wasn't until we attended a Marriage Encounter retreat where we bared our souls to each other that we mended the inner wounds that we had.... If we had gone to grief counseling, I'm sure we would have healed up much more quickly....
