I am 54, I'm 5'5" tall, Lutheran, married for 30 years, and weighed an astonishing 220 pounds in December 2010 and even got up to 225 by May of 2012. I've taken off 25 pounds so far... but still need to lose a lot more. I work for Walt Disney World Co. as an analyst in the Information Technology area. It's a fun job, and the people are great. We are encouraged to keep fit, and the company does do a good job of supporting us.

I'm 53, 5'4" tall, 173 pounds. I love to walk travel sail and play and bike outdoors. I loathe going to the gym. I belong, but dont ever go.

Mum of one fabulous 5 year old,and another just as fabulous 6 month old with a crazy job and not enough hours in a day :-). With baby #2 my weight has reached a level where I feel the difference in term sof health. And that is simply not acceptable.

I am a 59 YO wife, mother and grandmother. I have recently started a course to become a holistic health coach and would definitely like to lose weight before I begin as a coach. I did the cleanse in December with great results and feel it is time to repeat it. This time I would like to add back foods more slowly to see if I have issues with any specific groups. This seems to be the healthiest cleanse I have seen out there and I never felt hungry on it. I do plan to review all the precleanse information this weekend to be ready.

I'm 43 year old mom of three teenage boys. Oh, and I'm a speech therapist and have been married to a cute cowboy for a LONG time..some days seems really long! haha. Have struggled with my weight for the past 10 years but am pretty active.

I am a 36 year old mom of 2 wonderful children. I own a wellness consulting business. I have a wonderful and supportive husband. I originally did this cleanse in April 2012 with great results. I have tried it again on my own with very little success.

52 yo, 5'4" and in a size 14 right now, hopefully not for long as I jumped from a 10 in only 6 months! Goal is to be back where I was in 2009 - size 6 or 8 depending on the cut.

I turned 54 in Nov 2011. I'm a software engineer, married with no kids. One cat, one dog. Avid quilter.

I'm 46, female, and a Type 1 diabetic. I work F/T and spend a great deal of my free time trying to find better ways to maintain normal blood sugars. Being a healthy Type 1 requires an insane amount of effort in terms of being consistent and diligent in what you eat and how much you exercise. I've been happily married for 26 years, and we share our home with the most adorable, loving, 4 year old Havanese you could ever wish to have!

I am a 42 year old recently divorced working single mother. I have 5 children, 4 of which are grown and a 13 year old daughter still living at home. My grandson and 23 year old daughter live with me as well. I am 40 lbs overweight and have struggled with my weight for quite a while now. I want to get this extra weight off and keep it off once and for all.

I am 39 and getting married for the first time in Hawaii. Hopefully a baby will follow the marriage.

I'm 38 year old mother of two children, a son Luca 7 years and little girl, Ruby, 3 years. I am about 15 kg above my ideal weight and feel horrible. I have read all of Dr Fuhrmans books and in my heart believe that is the way to go yet I eat way too much wheat and refined carbs. I have been a vegetarian for nearly 20 years and rarely eat any animal products, except honey and free range eggs - animal rights are important to me. I'm hoping the Fresh Start cleanse will start me off on the right track.

Menopausal Fitness Pro (yikes) Has been really tough to keep my weight down - my old tricks don't work anymore. I'd like to ditch the dairy to see if my allergies & joint pain improve...plus this always makes me feel virtuous!

I set a goal about 4 years ago to lose 100lbs as kind of a joke. Then I started trying to lose weight and picked a "present" to myself for each 10lbs. I started exercising and tracking my food and I finally hit the first 10lbs and got my "present". Then I set another 10lb present and in a few weeks got it! Before I knew it I was at 40lbs...60lbs...100lbs!!! I have gained 10 back since hitting my goal 1 year ago but I'm working on getting it off now with Peertrainer!

I am a 60year old married mother of two fabulous young men and grandmother of a two gorgeous granddaughters. I'm a grad student in counseling and have a medical background. I have many medical issues, joint and muscle pain the most pressing at present...hope the elimination diet helps.

Why is this always hard now? I am a happily married empty nester. Just turned 50. I live in my dream spot of the planet. I have three adult sons, two in college. I am currently retired. Jobs are hard to come by up here in endurance hill. So I guess that is why I say retired. I no longer can call myself a stay at home mom as the only kids are now the fur kids. I think I have lost the labels of my definition. Kind of faded like my hip line . Soft and no longer where I like. So I guess I have to say, I am a stay at home pet mom? I want to lose 40 pounds, again!

49 year old female, who struggles to maintain a healthy weight. I seem to vacillate from an almost overweight place to carrying an extra 20 - 30 pounds. I'm pretty health conscious and get a good supply of good, healthy food, but over-indulge on the not so healthy food and struggle to stick to a regular exercise routine. When I'm on top of my game and exercise regularly, weight gain is not a problem. Divorced professional, happy with my work and my relationships.

I am 53 married mother of two teen boys and work close to full time as a nurse

I'm 41, married with 11.5 yr old son, working full-time as a professional at a large corporation. I stress out easily and don't get enough sleep. I have been a life-long yo-yo dieter. I have lost and gained the same 60 lbs. at least 5 times. I lost 60 lbs. last year, then gained back 20 lbs. I'm in the process of working my way back down to 130 lbs.

I am 46 years young lady. I am 5'2 and 120#'s. I have lost 15-18 # over the last 12-18 months. I have one grown son who is getting married in August of this year. So, of course I want to look my best for this special day. I am married and I work in a stressful sales position.

I'm male, 42, married with 2 children. I am one of the founders of PEERtrainer.

50 year old, work full-time, happily married with 11-year old son. Want to drop 10 - 15 pounds and be comfortable in shorts and bathing suits this summer!

I’m 48 years old and I have been doing to yo-yo diet routine since I got out of high school sports. I have always been a very picky AND emotional eater with horrible eating habits. I realize that my eating habits are taking a toll on my life and sapping my energy. I would like to prove to myself that I can feel so much better if I change my eating habits. I had Lyme disease a few years ago and I have reoccurring joint pain as a result. I like to exercise and I walk for at least an hour every day but am still obese. I want to stop the gain-lose cycle and find healthy habits that will lead to feeling better and losing weight.

I am an active Californian...I run, play soccer, do yoga, and hike.,..love soaking in the fresh air. Even though I'm active, I've still got an excess of 20 lbs that I'm going to shed! I work in television as a Post Producer, so lots of time sitting at a desk.

I'm an engineering manager in product engineering at General Motors. My children are grown and I've recently divorced. I'm looking for a new start and a healthier lifestyle.

I am 49 and have two boys - 11 and 8. I have been married and have lived in RI for almost 15 years. I have been working from home for the past 8 years. I was super active prior to getting married - ran in a couple marathons, dance classes, biking. I even took 25 mile bike rides until I was 7 months pregnant!! After my 2nd little guy came along can't seem to lose more then 5 or ten pounds - and then the dreaded winter comes!!

I am a 32 y/o female, that has progessively been gaining weight over the past six years. I like to to live an active, rich lifestyle. I was recently diagnosed w celiacs and that has completely changed my life and diet. Although I eat very healthy I maintain extreme difficulty in losing weight!!!! I am active and love working out w others!

I'm 47 with 3 kids and a busy full-time job. I always seem to start a program and ten lose movtivation to follow-through and make excuses for not continuing. I'm hoping this time wll be different and that I can stay focused and make the time for me.

My name is Tracey and I'm 35 with a (almost) 3 year old daughter. I'm married to Brian and work as an architect in Columbus, Ohio. I'm 5'-9" and have always been chubby. I weigh less now than I did in high school. I blew through my goal weight last summer but took lots of liberties over the winter months thinking 'hey this will come off easily in the spring!' and guess what? Not so much.

I love many types of music but not rap or hip hop. I like Japanese culture and love to watch anime and read manga. I don't watch much tv, but I can watch hours of stuff on youtube, so I guess my brain is rotting just as much as it would be if i watched tv....basically i'm lazy

I have crossed the 55 mark and since starting menopause I have gained consistently. Every year I lose the same 20 lbs and gain them back and find 5 more. I walk everywhere (nyc) I go to the gym consistently bootcamp 2x+ a week, core classes, yoga, and still the same. Anyway...tired of the same cycle hoping this can really bring on a permanent change.

59 yr old! Laid off from work 2 years ago! I was already 40lbs over weight, in my mind! I have gained an additional 12lbs since being at home and starting my home-based business! My exercise is now restricted because of OA in one of my hips.

52 yo married mother of two adult children (27& 26)

I'm a 39 year old woman in Brooklyn, NY. I'm a musician and a professor with a very demanding travel schedule. Last January I was hit by a car and fractured my pelvis. I'm mostly recovered now, and happy to be able to jog and jump again. I've lost the 10 pounds I put on after the accident, and now I want to lose another 35. I'll start with the next 10.

I'm working with a great personal trainer once a week, but have stalled in my exercise and food tracking because of a demanding travel schedule. I need help staying on track, and am looking for people to whom I can be accountable, and who can be accountable to me.

On Memorial Day, when I joined PT, I wrote "For now I'm concerned with building up as much muscle as I've lost to injury and recovery, and balancing my diet so that I consume more fibre and less beer and snacks." I'm happy to say that I accomplished my goals, and now I want to resume my efforts.

My pipe dream is to look good in a bathing suit. I'm not talking bikini, even. A maillot would be lovely.

Memorial Day starting point: 219 pounds.
Labour Day goal: 209 pounds.
Christmas Day goal: 195 pounds.
As long as it takes: 170 pounds.

Weight log:
May 23 2009 219
June 1 2009 217.2
August 9 2009 211.8
November 5 2009 205
November 7 2009 203.6

I'm a 47-year old wife, mother of 2 (11 and 12), and senior web developer for a major-corporation. I ran my first half-marathon last September but am still losing the battle of the bulge. I am currently training for the 10-mile Broad Street Run in Philadelphia. The extra weight is certainly hindering my running aspirations.

I am 43 yrs old. I have 2 children (15 and 21) and a husband. I have had irritable bowel syndrome for most of my adult life. However, in the last few years it has gotten worse. I'm sure it's made worse by my eating habits.

47 years old need to lose 120 pounds

I'm a health nut who works out enough, but I've got a hideously slow metabolism and joint problems. So I have to limit my exercise to cardio that doesn't hurt and lifting. My biggest problems are sweets, overeating, and the 'special occasions' that pop up seemingly a few times a week. I have a problem with exercising. On the day when I exercise a lot, I usually don't lose weight until the following day. Particularly if I don't exercise that next day. It's frustrating because it's hard to motivate myself. And sometimes I don't lose weight for days. It's easier to not work out. But I want to look muscular... ???

I'm a 56 y/o high school teacher. Married 30 years. I teach Family and Consumer Sciences (aka home ec), specifically foods and nutrition classes. It's a challenge being around food all day.
