A mother of 2 young children (4yo & 8yo) with a hectic work schedule.

48 years old, married , 3 grown children, 1 grandson and 1 due in Feb. registered nurse

I will be turning 50 in a few weeks

RN working PT, homeschooling 3 children:)

I am an engineering undergrad, and work/research for my university. I had been overweight my whole life. In 2011, I weighed ~205 pounds. I did not like that the person I saw in the mirror and the one I saw in my mind were not the same. Also, overeating contradicts a lot of my personal goals: it wastes money, water, chemicals, land, and it felt selfish, for me. Even if I couldn't lose an ounce by doing it, I want to figure out and control my mindless eating. I've been working slowly towards a healthier weight, and healthier eating habits, since then.

From UK but have lived in Australia for 30 years. Children grown but still close by with Grandchildren that are also growing rapidly! I have taken care of everybody all my life, I will be turning 60 next year.... it is now time to take care of me.

I had the Y-En route Gastric Bypass in July 2013, and I am mainly concerned about the weight loss. I have lost 30 pounds since the surgery, but I am at a plateau now for 2 weeks. I eat 59 grams of protein daily as per my dietician, which is supposed to increase my weight loss. Is there any one else out there simular to me or been through this experience?

38 years old, two children 9 and 12. Have never had an issue with weight but in the past year I have gained 8-10 pounds...must be the age :( All of my clothes are tight now so I either lose the weight or buy an entirely new wardrobe!

I'm just under 5' 4", 45 years old, and a stay-at-home mom (so I have time to focus on my goals!)

I am 25 years old, over six feet tall (Yes I'm a female) My husband is 27 and shorter than me. I have been married almost 3 years. Been with him for almost 4 years total. I have never been fat, never been over weight. But after I met my husband it became harder to stay in shape. I kind of just let myself go. Well NO MORE! I'm on a Path to a new lifestyle and I'm 15 pounds lighter right now than I was a little over a month ago. It's just hard to stay motivated sometimes.

I am 41 yrs old. I live in Australia on a farm 3 hours west of Sydney. I am married with two kids 8 and 10. I work part time in Admin. I have struggled to keep my weight under control most of my life but managed to until the kids arrived. About 3 years ago I really lost control of it and now I am about 280 pounds. Scary

I reached my goal weight 64kg with PeerTrainer in 2009. Then I had a baby. Now it's time to do it again.

Almost 48. Married with a teenaged girl. Don't remember the time frame but joined WW 6 years ago and lost around 33 pounds. I guess I became complacent! enjoyed a lot of compliments and stopped with the diligence?I am covered with a layer of flab. Have had periods of consistency over the years but only long enough to lose about 5 pounds or just maintain.

I'm 50 - mother of three and grandmother of four - work full time as computer analyst so sedentary most of the day. I love chocolate and consider it a major food group (my major downfall). I have been yo-yo dieting for over 30 years. Thankfully, I am healthy, but I would like to stay this way. I am not comfortable in my own skin. I am 33 pounds below my highest weight, but need to lose another 45 pounds. I know what to do - I just can't seem to do it. I am counting on this group for support. Thanks in advance for encouragement.

I am at the heaviest I have been since giving birth 20 years ago. I held my weight loss for 5 years at a weight of 135. Then after a knee injury I quit working out on a regular basis and given that and not getting any younger - ballooned back up :(

I am a 30 year old mental health professional managing 3 outpatient clinics. I have a wonderful husband and a beautiful and energetic daughter.

24 years old, work with disabled people. Began running around 18 months ago and it changed my life! Have run numerous 10k races since then and one half marathon but looking to do lots more. One day when my life is less full I will do a full marathon. Maybe more.

I love extreme diets and restrictive eating plans. It's a real challenge for me to seek out healthy, balanced and sustainable. It feels extremely boring and ho-hum to eat "relatively healthy" and "do the best I can". But, I am trying something new...the middle of the road approach!!

Small town girl trying to run for God's glory.

Hi. I'm 69 years young and retired for 3 years. I hd gastric bypass 5 years ago and lost 115# but gained 25# back due to bad habits. It's even harder since I retired. I started Beck 6 days ago and I'm looking for buddy to report to daily. I am willing to be buddy for someone else too. Even a small group would be good if we report daily.

My name is Marlene. I am 51 years old. Married to my high school sweetheart and best friend for 30 years. Two boys, 23 and 20. Been a nurse for 25 years working in oncology, hospice and forensics. Have struggled with my weight for ever. Was size 14 in high school even as an athlete.

44 yr old wife and mother. closet full of clothes and nothing fits. I want to lose this weight to feel better about myself and feeling healthier.

Married 24 years to supportive and loving husband. Mother of two wonderful kids who are now both studying at university. Enjoy reading, baking and cooking. Used to be very active at a younger age, and did a lot of knitting. Would like to get back into doing and enjoying both :)

I'm a 44 yr. old mother of 3. I work long hours (standing) as a surgical first assistant in open heart surgery.I have always put others first & have felt selfish if I focus on myself. My weight has gone up & down for the last 18 years. The most success that I've had was in 2009 when I joined Curves, started doing Zumba 4-5 x week, and started eating healthier. I lost 58 lbs. I kept the weight off for almost 3 yrs. I fell off the bandwagon & haven't done anything to "jump" back on. I have gained ALL of my weight back, in addition to 11 more lbs. I'm tired of being tired & feeling like crap. I need to do this now!!

I am a married mom of 3 kids. I teach school. I am trying to be a good example of how to be healthy for my family. Some are coming along for the ride and some are not!

40 yr old working at home and snacking all of the time.

Married, 42 yo stay at home mom of three sweeties; 9,11,13. Stay at

i've always been in good shape and worked out - but for some reason the past couple years i've been on a slippery slope that's only gotten worse. i've lost my discipline and must get that back to live my life fully!!!
