I am 44 years old. Have been in the restaurant and retail business all my life with the most unflexible schedules, creating the worst eating habits.. and since I am always on the go I inhale my food and when I finish I don't even recall chewing the food.. Now that's bad...

I am 50 yrs old, 5' 11", active and in good health ( I think)

I'm an office manager and I sit in front of a computer all day long, which helped to get he to this size. Married for 12 years 2 grown kids and 3 grandkids.

I'm a 42 yr old wife and mother. I have been married for 20 yrs. I have 3 children...a 19yrold son who's in the Marines, and two daughters 16 and 14 in high school.I love life, family and work. I don't have much free time but in the time that I should be cleaning or doing housework I can usually be found in front of my computer working on photo projects, digital scrapbooking or chatting with friends and family online.

42, bad health since I was 10, and want to get healthy so I can be around for a long, long time to see my daughters grow up and be with my husband, maybe live til I'm 100. While I'm living I want to have a better life, do more things w/family, not be held back by my weight. I want to be more active and feel better when I wake up instead of having my bones creak...

Wife of Jeff for 21 years. Mom to 2wonderful boys - Patrick, age 15 and Matthew, age 12. Work from home publishing my own magazine. Have always had difficulty managing my weight but have ballooned since being in 2 car accidents in the past 10 years.

I am 46 years old, have 2 sons 23 and 21. I have been over weight since giving birth 23 years ago. Lost weight off and on in between. In the last 30 months I have gained 50 more pounds due to an accident of falling down a flight of stairs that shattered my right shoulder, which ended up being operated on twice, 2004 and 2006 the '04 surgery was just to hold things together until I healed enough to get a total replacement in '06. Therefore, the weight gain when there isn't too much you can due to exercise when you can't use one arm.Even walking was painful. I am now able to walk again.

42 single (never married) (no kids), straight, love dogs, paper crafter

I am a 43 yo housewife, with 3 kids, 19,17, and 11. My husband is a fireman, so dinners are hard to plan. My biggest barrier to weight loss is exercise, which I plan to start slowly and build my way up slowly. I hope it gives me more energy. I live in Memphis, TN.

Hi, married for 8 months now to a wonderful and supportive husband. He loves me for me, has no problem with my looks (my obesity that is) and will support me in whatever I choose to do. Whatever it takes to let me be healthy and happy.

Married 20 years, two kids and lots of ups and downs.. lol Happy with my life just wishing to be thin for myself finally!

I am 40, engaged & have 5 indoor kitties.

Turning 40 this year and want to get control over my eating habits. It is way past time for this! Have 2 terrific boys, ages 8 and 11; great husband of almost 16 years; work casual on-call as an RN in a small rural hospital; trying to slowly develop a photography business on the side. Oh, and I have a crazy German Short-Haired Pointer who needs more exercise than I can possible give her (no matter what kind of shape I'm in), so to exercise her I find a quiet logging road and let her run while I drive behind her - how lazy is that?

I love to read, watch TV and go to movies and eat.

I am 45 years old.

I am a 51 year old single parent of two grown children who live out of state. I am currently taking classes online in hopes of getting a new job soon. I have a passion for home improvement projects and landscaping/gardening. I find that both help me relieve stress.

I'm a stay at home mom with 4 children. 3 boys and 1 girl. My first two boys are twins. I started gaining weight when I went through a depression back in 95-96. By the time 97 came I was 35 lbs overweight. I also had problems conceiving so I ate my way through that. When I finally got pregnant I was 6 lbs away from the 200 mark! YIKES! Gained a lot of weight with my third son. Lost some but not much and with my little girl I really watched what I ate and only gained 30lbs to which I've lost most of it. Now I'm 221 and tired of being fat. I'm ready to change my ways and become a healthy thin person. An ideal weight for me not model type.

When I delivered my second child, I never lost all the weight. I have been going up and down for the past 7 years and weighed as much as 235 during my recovery from a terrible car accident. I know what I need to do, I just need motivation and support to reach my goals.

I am nearing 50 and I don't want to be fat for my 50th birthday party.. I am married with no children. My husband and I both have quit smoking over the last year and I have put on about 25 extra pounds. I need to loose the weight for health reasons too. I need motivation.!!!!!!

I just turned 40 years old and a single mom of a 19 year old boy. I have always had a weight problem from the time I was in the 7th grade. My weight gain started when I became depression from my family life. I am overcoming bulimia, but still tend to binge when emotionally upset. I am disabled from arthritis and fibromyalgia. I just graduated from college with an Associate Degree in General Studies and will further my education in the fall to become a Social Worker. I am starting the process to became a foster parent and a CASA volunteer. I have focused the past 19 years on raising my son, it is know time to focus on me. I want to lose my physical baggage of weight and the emotional baggage of my haunted past. They both go hand in hand. I love to read, do crafts, and volunteer.

I'm 45. I have two daughters 14 and 11. I've been overweight since I was 9, and was on and off different diets since. About 15 years ago, I decided that was it. I wasn't going to worry about my weight again. Last weekend, I had to buy new clothes for my youngest child. Although she's tall, I realized her clothes were Large! I'm doing this for us. I'm not the only one.

I am silly. I wish I was smarter or had something wittier to say but I'm just really quite silly. I am married to a wonderful fella, mother to two almost-as-silly-as-me kids, and work as an intern in Children's Ministry at our church. My heart is for our Lord but my butt tends to stay on the couch.
