I'm 26 years old and recently engaged. I want to lose 25lbs and get back to my "pre-relationship" weight. It's important to me to learn how to maintain my weight loss and improve my overall health.

I am a thirty-two year-old stay-at-home mom with two kids, ages 2 and 5. On my busiest day, I take care of five kids (including my two) with an age range of 7 months to ten years. I love cooking healthy meals for the kids, and I really enjoy working out, reading, being outside, and anything crafty. I have a great husband who helps out around the house and with the kids.

19 yrs old, sophomore in college. vegetarian for 7 years and have just made the transition into veganism. 5'3" and about 120 lbs, down from 135 last summer, but up from 110 in december.

Divorced without kids. I useed to be very slim however had gained weights since my college days and was unable to keep it off. I would like to shed some weights and gain some confident in myself

I just went vegan after some time if being a vegetarian. my body can't handel milk products anymore so the next step just seemed to make sense.

I am a student who does a lot of sitting, reading, and typing. I don't have a lot of time to cook, so I'm losing interest in the joy of eating. My clothes don't fit and its driving me batty.

I became a vegan Dec 22 2007 after reading a book that opened my eyes to the animal cruelty and the realities of what I was eating.

I have been vegetarian for 2 years and vegan for 1 year - a natural progression I believe. I became vegetarian to improve my diet and bloodwork. Then I realized that I was filling the meat/fish gap with cheese. So my transition began as a way to improve my health and it quickly became an ethical choice. The more I learned the clearer the choice became for me!

I work for a non-profit in DC. I've been vegetarian for 4 years and became vegan in April 2007.

My name is Esther, I am a teacher ( grade 2) and mother of three boys aged 14, 17 and 19. I am 46 years young, 5'9" and have avout 100lbs to lose. I am awfully busy but I know that I need to begin to devote time to weight loss. I have been trying to gear up some motivation as I know my health will begin to suffer if I don't take serious action.

Hello, my name is Paula. I am 36 years old, 5 "8" and currently 175 pounds. I am a mother of a 6 year old boy. In the past year I have gained 40 pounds!! I was vegan for a year. I loved it. I did it because I was having food allergies. They went away after turning vegan. It was wonderful! That was pre-relationship. Now after going vegetarian, I blew up. Then I went back to eating meat and now I am my heaviest ever! I've had enough, I feel 46. So I am going back to what works for me.

I am 29 and married. I have three kids, ages 9, 7, and 5. I have a really hard time taking care of myself, because I am always worried about everyone else! I did a great job last year getting in shape, but have taken off A LOT of time since then! I'm ready to get back on track. :)

23 year old single mother on good terms with child's father. I'm in a different open relationship. I'm a bachelor's level college student in US southeast, central time.

I am 24 and have been vegetarian for 6 years, vegan for 4. I enjoy cycling, hiking, vintage fashion, and art. I would like to lose a total of 30 pounds by June 21st, 2008 through healthy eating and regular exercise.

I am a 27 year old grad student and artist who has lost 80lb in the last 2 1/2 years. I want to continue my weight loss while realizing a life that works best for me.

I'm a 26-year-old vegan struggling through law school as a full-time student while juggling three jobs - (1) part-time research assistant, and (2) part-time professor in 2 universities.

I'm 29 years old and recently got engaged! I share my life with two very noisy kitties and one crazy boxer. I have been a vegetarian for almost 15 years and gave up all dairy products last year. My job requires a lot of travel and I found myself getting heavier and heavier over the past 3-4 years. I haven't been eating right and pretty much stopped exercising all together. I really don't like what I look like right now.

I turned 40 in May. I am married and have a 6 yo son. I work part-time.

I am a 22 year-old student who lives a generally active and healthy lifestyle.I used to be a college athlete but after working for a bakery for a year and a half I managed to put on about 30 pounds. I am vegan and ride my bike, but I cannot seem to lose weight on my own.

I'm married and we have a dog. I am a vegan, and I enjoy the simple things in life: Hiking in the woods with my dog, a good cup of tea, reading a good book, and watching good t.v..

I just started working out but i'm loosing steam cause I'm not sure if i'm doing it right cause i'm not seeing results

I am a 25 year old married nursing student who works part time.

I'm 28, a woman, and recently completed graduate school. The stress of school and being in transition has left me 20lbs heavier than when I started, about 170 right now at 5'5. I have been lifting weights for 14 years and never stopped exercising, my diet has always been the trouble. I know plenty about healthy eating, just have trouble gauging and listening to hunger, and eating when I'm bored or stressed in the evening. I'm queer, in a relationship and am about to move, and have no idea where I'll land, or where my partner will land. I've always been independent in exercise and fitness, so I figured trying this out would help get me out of my shell a little.

I'm an 18 year old vegan off to college this year, trying to get healthier through a good diet and exercise. I'm living by the Eat to Live plan as much as possible, while still enjoying some of my favourite foods once in a while.

I am 57. 130 lbs. I live with my wife and she eat differently .

Well, I'm very new to this, I found this through Google, I was looking for a support group because I just can't stand my weight anymore, and I'm a vegetarian, so this is where my research led me. I'm 6ft3 and I'd like to get a surfer kind of body, I'm not very cute, my hair is fuzy, my teeth are all out of place, and a fat body doesn't help my confidence at all... I'm 21 and have been single for my entire life, so yeah, I want things to change, and so I decided to lose weight, at least that'll be one thing done, before taking care of the teeth and the hair... Getting my teeth done, my hair lazered and my hair fixed needs a lot of money, at least getting a diet won't cost me a thing. Now you know a lot about me, these were some of the thing I never talk about, and barely admit to myself.

Always been a tiny little thing. Like feed that girl a cookie style, And It just caught up to me over the past year.

I'm a 29 year old female, who has been overweight since age 6. I've dieted a bit in the past, but only gained more weight than I've lost over time. I'm tired of all the weight yo-yoing, and would love to reclaim my life. I want to be the person I was meant to be, rather than allowing the weight to hold me back from my confidence and life goals.

I'm a happily married mother of 5 beautiful children. I am currently 50 pounds overweight, and I'm making a commitment to myself to transition into a Vegan diet for good.

I'm a PhD student studying poetry and human rights. I have been vegetarian since fifth grade, and vegan on and off during those years. I have been vegan for about a year and a half, and loving it!

I'm 30 years old and am happily married for 5+ years. We're about to begin working on getting pregnant. :) I'd like to lose 5 lbs. before the pregnancy and begin a much healthier vegan lifestyle. I've always eaten dairy and meat and have been completely meat and dairy free now for 3 days. I'm hoping removing dairy and meat will be what I need to get to a happier, healthier weight.

I've been a happy ethical vegan for two decades and have always carried an extra 10 pounds on my very short frame. This year (2009) I have successfully become a runner, having completed a 10K training program and now in the middle of a 1/2 marathon program. I run slowly, but steadily! http://honestrunner.blogspot.com/

I'm an 18 year old who recently went vegan. I live in Washington state and love the fact that this state is for outdoor lovers! I love hiking, camping, kayaking - ANYTHING outside! I have lost 50 pounds on my own, but I am having trouble with the last of the weight! However, I really believe I can do what I set my mind to.

I'm a 19 year old college student who has a gluten allergy, peanut allergy, and follows a vegan diet.
