Goals: Losing extra pounds then maintaining your goal weight. for a lifetime. No matter where you are starting!

Profile: I've been a certified group exercise instructor for many years. Although I'm not a personal trainer, I 've been personal cheerleader to many! (Hence the group name!) I've found accountability to be a strong motivator in my own physical fitness so I hope you'll join!

I'm 40 years old but about 24 on the inside! I teach spin at the local Y three mornings a week at 5:30 am...they pay me to be there, the rest of the people are crazy! I love to bike, swim pretty good, and tolerate running so I can compete in triathlons. I've been married for almost 16 years to a fabulous man who rides my wheel telling me to "dig in...don't slow down!" We have 4 fabulous kids, and, no you are not seeing wrong, I didn't birth the little one! The oldest is 14, then 10, 5, and 3. Little man is from Guatemala-wanted another child but DID NOT want the pregnancy!

I joined PT in August 08 shortly after turning 40. I turned 41 this summer and I'm now in the best condition in both weight and fitness level in at least 12 years, that takes me back to when I was 29! I've been married for 19 years and have 4 children (15, 13, 7 and 2) and I want to be around for the next 40 years for my wife, children and grandchildren. I had a surge in fitness in 06-07 and completed a sprint triathlon in the spring 07, lost momentum and then broke my ankle in the summer and lost ALL momentum. 2008 was not a good year but 2009 is a new year for a new me... I'm loving life, losing weight and fitting into smaller clothes!

I'm 18, a freshman in college, and I really want to lose weight. I feel like my friends (some of my fake friends) and family want me to gain weight, but i'm on the borderline of normal weight and overweight for my height, 4'9". If i go back to visit them and they see i haven't gained weight, i feel like they'll hate me even more. This same dilemma happened with my sister. My family and her friends spreaded rumors that she was anorexic, which is not true because she's normal weight, and whenever they were around her they would tell her she was too skinny and needed to gain weight or eat unhealthy foods such as pizza with grease dripping off it. Keeping in mind how they will think of me, having cravings for potato chips, candy, and ice-cream binges, and being overloaded with stress and anxiety from school makes it difficult to lose a few pounds. I want to lose weight and i hope joining this team makes it easier. I'm vegetarian but binge on junk food.

i'm a 31 y/o communication designer with a new husband and a bird. Most members on both sides of my family suffer from heart disease, high blood pressure, and diabetes so this is an effort at a reversal of fortune. i'm 5'8" 141, in good health, but i want to be healthier. i want to be a runner and i want to be an inspiration to those around me.

I am 37 years old and I have been married for 16 years. I have 3 kids ages 15, 12, and 7. I work as a receptionist for a school district. I am very involved with my church and our youth group. I started a biggest loser competition at church, but we have had a lot of people quit. I love singing, reading, and theatre.

I am a single 38 yr old woman... no kids... have a dog and a rabbit... work a lot (architectural designer)... and want to get back into regularly running.

I started eating healthier Ealier this year and lost 40 pounds. Yeay me, but for the last 2 months i have not lost anything at all. I am going through a seperation with my husband and my son moved back home from the Army late last year to go to college full time. So my plate has been full and i admit my motivation has decreased in the last couple of months. I joined the YMCA today and plan on starting working out at least 3 days a week. My first thing will be a spin class tomorrow morning.

I am a married 35 year old working mom of 3. My kids are 8, 7, and 3. I am an RN, and work full time our the local hospital in the Quality Department.

I am a 57 y.o.a. male, married 35 years with 2 kids in college.

I am 15 years old and am home schooled. I am my ideal weight (seeing as if i lost any more I would be underweight) but i want to tone my body, have motivation to eat healthier by chioce, and be a triathalete. My mom and dad are got2change and 4myfamily. I love them and try to encourage them and keep them motivated.

I am 41. I have been married for 18 years and have 4 children, ages 14, 12, 5, and 7 months. We are a home school family. My husband s an associate pastor at a local church.

I'm male, 37, married with 2 children. I am one of the founders of PEERtrainer.

I am 38, an urban planner, and have a 3-year old. I am married, but sometimes feel like I don't feel like I have enough hours in the day to take care of my family and myself too. However, I know that we all have the same 24 hours in a day and that I need to figure out a way to make the most of mine.

I'm in my senior year in college and will graduate next December total of 4 1/2 yrs. I have struggled with weight my whole life, but since going to college and no longer involved in three different sports I've gained probably 40-50 lbs in the last two years. Two summers ago I lost 25 pounds and I've gained all but 5 back. I would like to figure out a healthier lifestyle that works for me and stick to it. Part of my problem over the past year has been battling nagging foot pain that makes physical activity very painful.

I am a 67 year old mom of 2 children and 7 grandchildren.I Ilive by myself, therefore, I do not do a lot of cooking. I do try to eat healthy but sometimes that goes right out the door. In my spare time I enjoy making quilts. I belong to Gold's Gym and try to go at least 3-4 times a week.

14 years old...I don't diet...I don't think of myself as fat I just want to be healthier and be able to exercise more often I just need alot of motivation

45 yrs old, father of three girls, PE teacher and 25 lbs overweight. Two rebuilt knees from sports injuries have slowed me down. Played college soccer and lacrosse and continued to play soccer until the doctor said no more, 10 yrs ago... Now I'm too sedentary and I eat too much!

40, married and infertile. my marriage (together 10 years, married 4) is going through a really tough patch and I don't know if we'll make it out intact. i travel a lot for work, so does my husband, and it makes it really difficult to eat well and exercise consistently. i'm a yo-yo exerciser and dieter.

Changing my mindset! Time to stay focused!

I am a mom of a 6 year old as well as a newborn. I love music, the outdoors and anything "creative".

I have just turned 40 and live in a small town in Indiana with my husband. I have always been the largest girl in the family because I was not the petite one that sister and mom are. My sister was the cheerleader and I was the artist...Anyway because of it, I struggled with my self-image and weight my whole life. Looking back on it I have to laugh...I thought I was fat at 133lbs. Oh to see THAT again :)

48, hypothyroidsm, 1 child (age 7)

I am 28 years old. Like most, I have good days and bad days. My dad is terminally ill and in the hospital a lot, during the weeks he goes in for treatment, it's hard to find the time to workout, but I am going to work on finding a better life balance.
