46 yo single mother of adult son, I have been following WW flex plan for 6 months and have lost 55Lbs!!! In that time I have gone from zero exercise to exercising 6 days a week, I just started interval training for a 5k run, we will see how that goes! MY FIRST 5K...MAY 16TH- RACE FOR THE CURE! Motto is ~one day at a time~ sometimes I need reminded of that but all in all these months have been great and I am embracing this lifestyle change :)

I am a graduate student, single and in my late 30s.

54 years old...mother of 2 grown daughters

I'm about to turn 40, have two children and a partner, work full time. I am overwieght and struggle with portion control/overeating and not getting enough exercise.

In long term relationship with 2 kids.

I'm 53 and have six children, we have 3 birth children and then decide to adopt 3 more. The ages are 14-30. My second daughter has been ill and has been on chemo for 8 years and the younger 3 kids have been adopted for 8 years. I'm a stay at home mom and really enjoy my family, church ,quilting.

I enjoy food way to much. Some of my intrests include DIY projects around the house, sewing, cards, and when I get the chance going out for drinks and dancing. I would really love to learn how to ball room dance, countrystep, hip hop, salsa, and swing.

I am a 36 year old mother of two. I had never had a problem with my weight up until I got married and had my two daughters. I have been steadily gaining weight from 2001 and to date i have gained 47 kilograms. I have also developed deep vein thrombosis of which the doctor said I can reverse by losing weight and eating healthily. I have been yoyo dieting for the past eight years and I am tired. I want to deal with this weight issue once and for all.

HI! I am a teacher and a single mom of 3, and am now an empty nester! I have spent most of my adult life running around taking care of the kids, working full-time and running a household. I have not done a good job of taking care of myself, though. I have a lot of weight to lose, but am committed to succeeding this time.

31 year old stay at home mom. Six years ago I lost 30lbs and maintained it on minimal food and regular exercise for 2 years. In the past 3 years I have gradually gained on average 5lbs per year. I don't care much about the weight gain however I want to get it under control before it become a huge problem.

II love to have fun and enjoy life. I love being with my friends and family, love any type of dancing, and I love to eat. However, I finally feel ready to get serious about my weightloss goals, and overall health.

I am married and have 2 wonderful boys. I work part time outside the home.

I'm 33, married, an administrative assistant at a large corporation in Minneapolis. I've battled my weight all my life. After college I was in really good shape, but since getting married have gained 70 pounds.

I'm in pretty fit but really need to get lean. I"m tired of my clothes not fiiting and trying to cover up everyday. It's summer and I'm single and I want to feel good about myself! My goal is going to take serious commitment and hard work...i need help!!

I am 56 . I have 3 children and 2 grandchildren . I work full time and go to college part time .

Mom of 3 incredible kids, married

I have always eaten more than most, but have also been very active to make up for it. I have just had my 2nd baby and now want to lose that baby weight.

I'm 51 and mother of two teens. I work p/t, sew, and love DIY projects.

41 years 1 son, 7 yrs married

I live in Vermont with my partner. I love the outdoors, birding, gardening, riding my bike, and camping. I have been overweight to obese most of my life. In the past 15 months I've lost 80 lbs with another 13 lost a few years ago. I do not want to yo yo anymore and am focused on keeping the weight off and increasing my fitness level.

I'm a 45 yr old system engineer working with libraries. I live with my boyfriend of 4 years. I love road biking and try to do century rides every chance I get. I started this past Jan and haven't lost one ounce (or inch for that matter). My problem is inconsistency. I go on bouts where I have to travel for work weeks at a time and slack off on everything. Then am home several weeks and get into a good routine.

Hi! My name is Kylie. I am a 20 yr old college student in Massachusetts that wants to live a better life. I have been heavyset since I was young but have a really skinny, sexy version of me deep inside. This summer I lost 30 lbs in 2 months and it felt amazing. I want to get back to that healthy, spectacular feeling but being at school isn't exactly helping. I really want to do this and know this group will help keep me on track!

I am 27 yr old, recently graduated Dentist. I didn't work out much the past year so I am overweight, or actually obese. I like to workout and I enjoy sweets. I want to find the perfect balance of exercise and food portions to get me to my goal weight.

http://unwindingself.blogspot.com/ I'm 25 years old. Second-year graduate student. This past year of graduate school (my first) I really "let myself go" ... not that I didn't try here and there, but overall...the entire lifestyle change was overwhelming. I'm not going to beat myself up about it...just time to get things back on track & redevelop the skill set I need to make this a sustainable change. I lost some weight using PT tools, coaching, logging, etc before (2 yrs ago) but then let the weight creep back on. I'll be honest - after a while, life made it such that I wanted to stop worrying about logging my food every day. I thought I could do without. But there's something about accountability (and the support of the PT community) that's worth the time and effort I invest in being active here.

Married. Work in an office all day. Have two fur children. Need to loose weight because I want to have children.

I am in my early 20's, I was active all through high school and through the first year of college. However since taking some more intense classes and working nights I have fallen off the band wagon of working out. I am not constistant with it, I will do it for a month or two then not do it for a month and loose any stanima that I have had. This past May I ran in my first race which was a 5k and it did a good job, after that though I stoped running and working out. I am doing the 4 week boot camp cause I think it will help jump start me on working out agein and also I do want to loose some inches and a few pounds in my hips and stomach area. I also joined this group so I can meet people with similar goals and I want to be apart of a group were we can motivate each other.

I am 55 years old. I had worked for 30 years in high tech before switching careers last year to the non-profit sector. I am currently CFO at a high school in San Jose CA called Archbishop Mitty. At the time I left my high stress job I weighed 248 and stand 6 feet. I started doing hot yoga and weight watchers and lost 30 pounds, so I was on my way, but then came down with stage 3 lymphoma. That threw a wrench in my plans as I went through some pretty brutal chemo treatments. I now have my strength back and returning to my exercise cycle. I am gearing back up by following the fit for life diet book. Let's see what happens.

She who loves her garden resides in Morris Co., New Jersey. I do love to dance. That and hauling compost are my primary reasons to get into shape, even at the tender age of (gasp) almost 62. I had been a bit of a gym rat about 10 years ago and I want to regain as much of that strength and agility as possible. Also, the impending arrival of a grandchild is a great motivator.

I work from home as a medical editor and get very little exercise. My husband and I have 2 grown children and 3 grandchildren. We live on 43 gorgeous acres in East Texas where we raise a number of different kinds of livestock. We also raise Yorkies (our babies).

I am a single women raising my 3 grandchildren. I work at a non-kill animal shelter and enjoy the company of my friends, 4 cats, and 1 dog.

Love to work out and eat well, but can fall off the wagon very easily. But I'm trying!! I will succeed!!

I work 45-60 hours a week and attending school in August part time. I am married and I don't have any children.

I am 23 years old and working in Southern California at a contract pharmaceutical research company. I live with my parents, for the time being, and I would really like to be more active. Most of my friends have moved out of the area and so it's hard to get out and do things with people. Staying fit would be a bit easier if I could go out and run around playing soccer or frisbee with friends instead of forcing myself to go to the gym. I'm not severely overweight--I'm actually probably just average size--but my body fat is a little on the high side and I would really like to lower it to a healthier level and lose some of the belly fat!

I am 52 years old, just started peertraining/coaching. I really want to do this right and in a healthy way. I have a 14 year old daughter who I would like to be a good example to.

NEW ABOUT ME: HEY!!! I'm melissa :) I'm a p90x ADDICT! I love it! I'm currently on my 3rd round, can't get enough! With p90x and clean eating I AM IN THE BEST SHAPE OF MY LIFE! WANT ADVICE OR HELP? OLD ABOUT ME (KEEPING IT FOR MEMORY JOGGING) My name is Melissa and I am very unhappy with my appearance! I am currently at my heaviest (i have ALWAYS been super skinny ..until college hit) I go into phases..i'll want to be thin and lose weight but I go about it wrong. I over-do it and excercise like a crazy person. then i end up getting sore and burnt out. I went from wanting to lose 10 pounds, to gaining 20! All because I hate working out and I have no motivation to work out because I think it's painful. REALLY painful. I want to start over and begin a NEW healthier LIFESTYLE....not diet.

Active multimedia business leader with two children and a fabulous partner. Recovering from knee surgery 12 months ago where I put on the weight, however have been struggling with my weight my entire life!

56 yr, widow, currently going back to school, getting healthy and enjoying life.

Doing better- back in the gym for no nonsense workouts. Better eating choices!

I'm 50yo. Love to shop and challenge myself with buying a smaller size that I normally wear. It's a good feeling to grop from size 16-to a size 12 I still wear some 14's and I'm pulling them up. good feeling. B/4 Summer I want to have 10 & 12's only in my closet. from there I'll work on 10's only. 1 lb @ a time. Also remember Prayer helps. Try It.

I am a 30 something year old teacher. I am trying to overcome my physical limitations and continue to recover after physical therapy. I need to get to the gym regularly to build up my stregth and flexibility so I can do the things I love to without being in pain or hurting myself. I want to make healthy activities I love to do habits like walking and biking along with going to the gym. My weakness is sweet foods which I crave. I believe in eating a well balanced diet allowing the body to get all the vitamins, mineral, and nutrients it needs to function properly. Hopefully I will learn to control the portions to lose some weight and cut down on sweets significantly.

I'm a 35 yr old SAHM mom. I WILL lose 10 more lbs before I have my 2nd baby and change my mindset for good.

31 year old accountant, previously very active, but with work it can be a struggle. Have recently changed job & city & I'm determined to change my weight!!!

I'm 40 something, two young kids, have tried lots of "fad" diets and if it has a name, I've probably tried it. I'm not a fan of exercise unfortunately, but I'm liking my Wii Fit Plus so far. Have a lot of weight to lose, and I'm hoping to become healthier.

Divorced with grown son, stressful job, 58, dating. My life scares the hell out of me, so I eat to be calm.

49 married and always feeling to be 5-10 pounds away from goal...success scares me...apparently.

Well, I was hit in the back by a cyclist about 6 years ago and I have been on disability since. So, obviously, I have gained weight I was about 130-135. went up to 210. now at lets say199.9 ;) so I would like to lose about 60-65 lbs. I am 34. Other than that, I have a dog and a cat. and the 3 of us live somewhat happily

61, married, 2 grown kids 25 & 29

I'm 30 and decided on New Years Day 2009 to make changes in my life. This year has been all about running, healthy eating, learning about nutrition, and surrounding myself with other like-minded people.

I am a single mother of three beautiful kids. I work from home and just started back to school this year. I have been trying to lose weight for the last 3 years and have not been able to do so. I really hope that this will help me. If it doesn't it's Lap Band for me.

I never had a weight problem until I started having children. I could lose the baby weight eventually, but it took lots of effort. I have 4 children and after #4, I almost lost all the baby weight before I began going up on the scale. Now I am bigger than I was with each of my pregnancies and I feel each extra pound!

I am 54 years old, mother of 4 grown kids, no grandkids yet. I am a professional and work with people all day. I live in the country outside a small town. I like to bike and walk and horseback ride and camp out. I have done triathlons and hope to do more. I also like to sew, quilt, garden, read, watch movies (my not so active pasttimes). I want a balance between all these.

I am a very busy single mom of two boys. I enjoy being out and about experiencing life. I am the person in the check out line that just starts talking to you for no real reason.

55 years old * Breast cancer survivor - 11 years! Workaholic * I love to quilt * 3 beautiful grandchildren

I am a 46 year old mother of two boys, 28 and 26 and one daughter who is 25, also I have been married for 26 years.

I am 26 yrs of age, married and i have a 1.5 yrs old daughter. I never had weight issues all my life until i got married and started gaining weight. I gained around 5 kgs (11 lbs) within a year of my marriage. Thereafter, i got pregnant with my daughter and didn't watch my diet throughout pregnancy. had lots of junk food, never ate anything really healthy and as a result i gained around 16kgs(35 lbs) by the time i delivered. I hated the way i looked coz it was the heaviest i ever weighed in my life. Moreover, i started having persistent backache and severe knee pain and swelling. I was put on heavy pain killers for a month and they still weren't able to fully control my pain. It was that time when i truly thought to lose weight for better health. I started by making healthy choices and now after a full year i can proudly say that i have lost around 22lbs and all of that was done without any crash diets or anything. I did cardio for 3 months which accelerated my weight-loss but then i had to stop it due to a few reasons. I do try to walk 15 mins a day though. and some other light form of exercise just to make myself feel better. Now my ultimate goal is to lose the last 12lbs which will be the most difficult to lose.

51 year old female who has struggeled with weight issues her whole life. While diets have worked for me the past, I'm finding that old methods are no longer effective and that I can get the weight off, but can no longer keep the weight off. Looking for permanent but doable lifestyle change
