I'm a single mother of a 14mo and love every minute of it! I have been trying to go to the gym during my lunch break or right after work before I have to pick my daughter up from daycare. Time and money is tight and I'm looking for extra support! I've been a varsity athlete all my life, but I am amazed at what's happened to my weight after I had my daughter. I need help!

I am 38 years old and I teach 3rd graders in a challenging school. I need to take better care of my health. . I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes but it my score was low enough that I may not have to rely on drugs to control my bodily functions. My count was low so my doctor said that with diet, exercise and weight loss I could be off medication within the next 2 months.I plan to get pregnant before age 40 so this is extremely important to me.

I started eating healthier Ealier this year and lost 40 pounds. Yeay me, but for the last 2 months i have not lost anything at all. I am going through a seperation with my husband and my son moved back home from the Army late last year to go to college full time. So my plate has been full and i admit my motivation has decreased in the last couple of months. I joined the YMCA today and plan on starting working out at least 3 days a week. My first thing will be a spin class tomorrow morning.

I'm Wendy, 31 years old, wife, and mom of 3 ages 5, 3, & 2.

I am 32 years old. I am happily married with 3 step-children who are 25, 20, and 18. I have a 3 year old granddaughter. I have a wonderful, supportive family. I am a Medical Social Worker who works with home care and hospice patients. I am Christian woman with a strong faith life.

205 lb. 22 years old. 5'6 Female I'm a Massage therapist and musician. I need habit changes that last a life time in order for me to live a very healthy life style.

I'm a college student and I have a great life, but I do NOT have a great physique! I'd like to change that! I weigh 205, which is the most I have ever weighed in my entire life. It's a huge contrast to just 4 years ago when I weighed 130. It's time to win my battle with weight!

Small town woman in the big city - still adjusting! Im 26 years old and a recent graduate (can you say freshman 15?) - I got that plus 5 extra pounds - I was 20 pounds over weight and hated it! Stats: 5'8" Currently maintaining at 165 :( - time to step it up a notch! Body shape: average/curvey/athletic - Im fairly toned even when Im not working out - and I gain/lose weight evenly. Heaviest weight: 178 (about 3 years ago - but only very briefly - thought to mention).

I am eighteen years old and I choose now to get my life and health together, my body is my main priority. I am a vegetarian who tries to eat healthy foods (I do still eat eggs). I started at 175 pounds. I believe I have the power to get in shape and love myself. I am also bulimic, and I hope that by keeping a food log/journal I will be able to control my compulsion to binge and purge and lose weight...

Well my weakness is dark chocolate and coffee. I say I'm addicted to coffee. I tend to get headaches when I don't have my iced coffee every morning. I will cut my iced coffee's to at least 2 a week versus everyday.

I'm a 23-year-old Canadian medical student. As you can imagine, the importance of eating well, exercising, and maintaining an appropriate BMI and waist circumferance are things constantly reiterated to us. My own health, as well as the desire to be a role-model for my patients, motivates me to continue battling my for my weight and health. In my late teens, I lost 40lbs thanks to diet and exercise, and have kept it off. Nevertheless, I'm still overweight and, particularly with the demanding workload of med school, struggle with finding time to exercise and cook.

Hi, I'm Nicole, I'm 29 , I'm a mom, a wife. and I love spending time with my family. We live in a ranching community so I love riding horses, training colts, riding and jumping quads. Camping, drawing, working out and running.... I work full time as a family Support Worker, and my husband and I also own a business doing horse shoeing and horse training.

I am a married working mother of 3. I just turned 40. My kids are as follows: Rose (11), Nick (10), Thomas (7). I've been married for 16 years. I work in the printing industry, going on 18 years now. I have 4 sisters and 1 brother and 1 sister in law, 3 nephews, 5 nieces, and 2 great nieces. I love big families!

I'm an artist, working on my own - so have to be completely self motivated - a life long adventure in self discipline which never carried over to my eating habits until recently! January 1, 2008: 154 lbs, waist 31, belly button 34 1/2, hips 40, bust 38 1/2, thigh 23 3/8, calf 13 7/8 September 22, 2008: Beginning new challenge to lower my fat% and build my muscle %. This will have to be subjective, because I have not figured out a way to measure it, or have it measured. 135 lbs, waist 28 1/2, belly button 31, hips 38, bust 36, thigh 21, calf 13 7/8, bicep 11 1/4, bicep flexed 12. Week 4: 131 lbs, waist 26 1/2, belly button 27 1/2, hips 37, bust 34, thigh 20 3/4, calf 13 5/8, bicep 11 1/4, bicep flexed 11 3/4 December 22, 2008 Week 12: 131.5 lbs, waist 27, belly button 29 1/2, hips 37, bust 35, thigh 20 3/4, calf 13 5/8, bicep 11 1/2, flexed 12 1/2 Interesting to compare to 2 months ago: In spite of not losing any weight, I feel much harder - and I did gain measurable muscle in my biceps. I do feel that my perception of my waist is that it is larger, though a lot more toned. I was doing a lot of ab work for a while: I have heard that building muscle there can make you thicker rather than thinner! Jan 1, 2009, The 12 Week Challenge, A Repeat: Beginning statistics: 128 lbs, waist 26", belly button 29", hips 37", bust 35", thigh 21", calf 13 5/8", neck 13 1/4 ", biceps 11 1/4, 12 1/4 flexed.

My goal is work out 3-4 times per week, walk everywhere possible. Seriously... Knowledge is the key. I am very smart about nutrition and making good choices. Love to find new ways and ideas of living a healthy lifestyle. You gotta keep it fresh and new or boredom can set in... Sometimes eating healthy is boring but I will deal with boring to feel great and be healthy. It's all about good choices! Okay, so about me.... I live in Leonardo, New Jersey about 3 miles from the beach. Yes...it's nice; especially during the spring, summer and fall months... even winter is nice but it's really bone chillin' cold some times. I am married to a wonderful man since June 2002; he has 2 grown sons; just recently graduated from college, we have a cute home with 2 greyhounds that are just amazing dogs . Just this past week 9/19/09 we returned from California with our beautiful son Jacob.Very exciting! I am a Recreation Therapist and work for the Department of Veterans Affairs in New Jersey. I work in the nursing home on a rehab/ long term care unit. I thoroughly love my work. I have been there for over 7 years and have almost 12 years total service. I have always been very active: competitive swimmer, certified aerobics and step instructor, pilates, cycling. etc...

I haven't always struggled with weight. I started to gain about 4 years ago. Before that, I was a healthy 5'6", 140 lbs. Now, I'm a miserable 195lbs. I can feel that I'm overweight. I get winded quickly and my knees hurt. Over the 4 years I yo-yoed pretty bad. I gain 40 lbs and lost 30 lbs but wasn't able to keep it off. Now, I'm back up again and haven't been able to get any weight off.

I am 5'9 first and foremost. Currently in college, 21 years old, have been struggling with weight since I was a child. At age 12 I had to get two sinus surgeries and dramatically went from huge to an unhealthy 117 lbs. As most people know once you lose weight you aren't always happy because there's extra skin and problems from being big. Anyways, I am fluctuating in the 140/50/60s lately and goal is to be back in the 140s! Peer groups always help so leave me comments :)
