34 year old mother of four kids between 1 and 13 years. I stay at home and will be returning to work full time in another year and there are fitness requirements at work that I don't want to have to stress over. I need daily motivation because I'm just TIRED a lot! :)

I am a 22 year old recent college grad who is currently working but going back to school in January to start a Masters program. I have been working from 9:30 in the morning to 9:30 at night so I dont have much time to work out although I wish I did. I don't eat much during the day but come home starving and overeat too much and it has led to recent weight gain.

44, 5'3". healthy lifestyle, but combo of bad genes, slow metabolism (really!) and not knowing what is best strategy for losing weight holds me back. (high carb, lowfat is what worked for me in 20's, but after 30, i started packing on the pounds, cannot lose).
i am getting on a plane in 2 1/2 months to see an old boyfriend after 20 years. we still feel a spark. i want to at least fit into a size 12!

I'm 22 years old, I ride horses and swim. I just graduated college with my 4-year degree in Agricultural Business with an Equine Concentration. I also just recently moved from FL back home to NY. I'm just about 6'0ft tall, so I can for the most part hide my weight pretty well. I realized that I need to change my eating habits into healthier ones, for not only me but the horses I ride. I'm ready to change the way I eat into a lifestyle change.

21 year old college student, busy life; Always able to find an excuse NOT to workout, but it's time to get serious.

I am 26 yrs old, 5'10" and at about 155 right now. I lost 30lbs between February and the end of July '09 through calorie restriction alone. I'm finding it hard to start up again eating so few calories, so I'm adding in some exercise and focusing on finding a method that satisfies hunger, is healthy, and still lets me lose weight. Time to make it a lifestyle!

I am a full-time working mommy. Finding the time for myself is tough and I am often dealing with feelings of guilt when I try to do things for myself. I live in VA only 15 miles away from the nation's Capitol. I live with my husband, 1 year old son and 2 cats.

|
I'm 39 y/o woman 5'8" and on 10/22/09 I weighed 188# fully clothed (eek! - BMI 28.1?).
I got inspired by a you-can-do-anything! friend in mid-October and for the first time had the first real conviction to do something about weight that had gone up up up since March. I work from home on deadline-intensive projects which means sometimes I don't leave the computer for 12 hours at a stretch, and I push past the pain of those long hours with processed foods - Lucky Charms, Doritos, all the worst!

I'm 24 and maintaining a loss of over 100 lbs, all of which was lost through a combination of mindful eating, consistent exercise and positive thinking! I'm a graphic designer living in Philadelphia. I also enjoy: photography, my two cats (Fiona and Rosemary), bicycling everywhere I can, cooking & baking, NPR, tending to my miniature window garden and city life in general.

I'm 23, just graduated. Taking a year off (to work) before grad school, an opportunity to re-group and hopefully get fit too.

I am an 18 year old college student trying to transition to veganism after 2 years of being vegetarian.

I used to be a workaholic and social butterfly which made it easy to pack on the pounds. I have lost 45 lbs through exercise and better food choices (recently using Eat To Live as a guide).
I am feeling better, happier and more energetic but I keep thinking that I can be a 135 lbs, fantastically fit person.

I am 47 years "young " mother of 4 boys ages 21-13. My oldest son serves in the US ARMY and is stationed in Qatar this next year. I homeschool the other three and we just moved to Greenville, SC from NY. I have always been a runner since college and ran through my pregnancies and through most winters in the north east. Two years ago I was in the best shape of my life running 5-10 miles a day but after some knee and foot injuries I started gaining weight and have had trouble getting motivated to start again. I am a single mom widowed twice in the past 12 years so running is my stress reliever. I am now at a cross road in my life. I have sold my house and moved further south (although we are only renting right now to see if we are going to like SC. ) I am planning for when my boys all leave the house (in the next five years) I want to STOP making excuses to myself for why I am not back in shape and have not lost the extra 20 lbs. I want to plan and prepare myself for the boys all leaving the nest and I know that how I feel about myself physically is a big part of this.

I am a freelancer, trying to make ends meat.
although I am not a starving artist as you can see, I do have a starvings schedule. I am mainly trying to get my life organized.
I live in Brooklyn N.Y. with my husband and 2 cats.

I'm 28 years old. I have always been overweight. For about 4 years from age 19-23 I was down around 200 lbs and started to run. After getting married over 5 years ago I didn't jog as much and ate more. I gained 40 lbs overall from the time I started dating my wife until a year after we were married. I lost 20 of that then gained it back. I'm determined to get back in shape and go further than I've ever gone before.

I'm a college student who has successfully lost 30 pounds over the last year but would like to lose another 30-40 lbs and continue to improve my lifestyle.

|
I am a 35 yr old mother of 3. 2 teenagers and one 6 year old. I work full time and my kids are very involved with sports and activities which means we eat on the run, quick, and there's no time for exercise, unless you count folding laundry! I'm an all-or-nothing dieter and trying to find motivation and commitment. I work with women that are heavier than me and some watch their weight, some don't. I have a small frame. 5' 4" and weigh 160 pounds.

|
I will be 31 soon and want to start taking charge of my weight. I am sick of trying to start over every week and giving up by Wed. My eating habits are all over the place and I simply despise salads, but have to make nice with them I'm guessing.

|

|
I'm 20 years old. I have been over weight for a large portion of those 20 years. I'm short so when I tell people my weight they tell me that they wish that they were my size. I think I hide it well. I would like to lose about 25 pounds. This is reasonable considering my BMI.

|
I am 44 and 260 lbs (Aug. 2009). I work as a corporate lawyer in Chicago. I love to social dance, swing, hustle and ballroom...some salsa. I lost 50lbs since January 2009, but my goal is 75 this year.
I have a skinny girlfriend who has been a tremendous help this year. She has never had a weight problem and, therefore, may not understand some of the issues with my lack of motivation from time to time.

I am Cool!

42 year old wife and mother of a 6 year old son. Exercise instructor and avid horse back rider. Love to exercise but struggle with healthy, consistent eating habits. Keep busy so don't make time for "meals" like I should.
