22 years young in college, love my family, friends, COSTA RICA!! lol and staying active.. I just moved back to my home town of west palm beach, fl a town all about its fitness!! ppl here are always at the beach and while I dont have a horrible shape I want to be fit enough to run to the beach instead of driving there (its 5 mins away)

I have 2 children. My "baby" is now 3 and I still need to lose the 20 pounds. Unfortunately, a yer ago I only had 10 to lose, but have put that 10 right back on and now am back where I started. It seems like the baby weight fell off after my first and this one is just nearly impossible!

I have nice intentions but I always procrastinate and I can't remember the last time I followed through when it was only for me.

I'm a 56 yr. old happily married Grandma of 4 gkids. Housewife, now. We have 1 daughter (& a son-in-law). I love southern gospel music and my pets ( 2 toy collies & 2 cats)

I am a 26 and have found myself in a slight rut when it comes to kicking my workout regimen back into gear. I work full time and often find myself too "tired" to get myself to walk through those gym doors. I tend to do better with a workout partner so I am looking for a gym buddy!

I am a sahm for three little ones. Peyton 7 is now in the 1st grade, Connor 3 attends pre-school on mon and wed morning, and Anna who just turned 1 in August.

I am 48 years old and 4'8". I have the most difficulty (as many do) with excess weight in my bellly area. At present, I weigh 113, which is too much for my small frame (and with excess in the mid-section). A few years ago, I was able to get down to 97 lbs. by watching my calorie intake and weighing myself each morning. Slowly I got out of that habit and have since put weight back on -- currently to 113 lbs. The low end range for my age and height is 89 lbs. and I would love to get to that weight!

I have 3 daughters, ages 12, 10 and 8, a cat, a new puppy, and a wonderful husband. I'm not working but would like to get back to my old life of being a freelance writer now that my kids are all in school. My health is good, I'm 41, I work out a lot...but my weight is sneaking up and up as I get older!

I am committed to working out at least an hour a day but struggle with the food aspect. Like my sweets!

I'm 42. I have lived a fairly active and adventurous life, by some standards anyway. I am currently unemployed and spent the summer hiking and camping and traveling.

I love movies and meeting friends for a drink every once in a while. I love quilting and needlework. I love being in a car or on the back of a motorcycle and exploring new places and meeting new people. I am a teacher, wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and friend. I am a great listener and I keep secrets. When you need a favor I say yes before you tell me what you need. I am a dog lover. I make a mean coconut cream pie and I tend to faint if you even mention blood.

I'm 27, single from Birmingham, AL. I live by myself and have no children. Working two jobs, so working out is a bit of a struggle for me.

I am 18. I am a college student at Mills College. I used to be an athlete but stopped playing once college started. I would really like to get back into the shape that i was. My goal weight is between 125 and 130. Im currently at 145.

I am a 61 yr old mother of 4 and grandmother of one two yr old who I take care of 4 days a week. I own a coffee house in our local mall and work there also. I love to cook and sew and garden when I have the time. I also love to go to the beach in our "traveling condo" (trailer). I unfortunately use food for comfort as it reminds me of my family which have all passed on. I need to remember that food is not my best friend!

I'm 48 and a stay at home Mom. I've been fat or skinny all of my life--one or the other. Not much inbetween time. I've been fat now for quite awhile (19 years) so it's TIME to be skinny again :-) I put all my weight on while pregnant and AFTER each child when I was sleep deprived. I put quite a bit on when I moved here and Central Dairy Ice Cream was in every grocery store! And I've steadily put more on since my Dad passed away and as I'm entering menopause years. Grrrr!

Im 18 yrs old and I am training to be a CNA.

I love life and love looking good, I'm dynamic and passionate and generally joyful.

I'm a free spirit that likes long walks on the beach and fart jokes.

in 06 i found out that my husband was cheating. that was the easiest 180lbs to lose ever! over the next 2 yrs i lost 100lbs of my own! then in dec 08 i met a really wonderful man! ive now gain about 22lbs back and am starting to lose the self esteem i had in myself 10 months ago! im looking to change my habits before i gain all 100lbs back!

Happily married 72 yo retired engineer

Happily married mother of two. I am not currently working. I am an RN by trade attending school for an advanced degree. This is on hold because my mom has been ill and needs my help. No more or less stress than most people.

Love books, teens, and working in the library. All things YA are FUN! Student in the process---Master in the Making!

On the border of IA-IL 60 and 280 but I'm only 5'10" - pretty bad right?

im a mom of one, married and im trying to lose 30lbs of this weight that i got after having my baby

I like to sing, run, lift weights.

I just hit the mid point of 40. Over the past 5 years having been a serious yo yo dieter. Gaining and losing more than I care to talk about. I'm a mother of 2 wonderful kids and 2 lab puppies. My kids are 20 and 17 so I don't really have a excuse not to take time for myself. I do work full time in a busy healthcare environment so I often call that my exercise for the day. My husband of 25 years is very supportive but would never actually say "Honey you're getting a bit fluffy". I am a "emotional eater" and follow my cravings way too much.

I am a mother to a beautiful little girl and the proud wife of an Air Force member. I am a teacher...that has been laid off due to budget cuts. I have decided that now is the time to take care of myself and give my health 100% attention.

Have struggled with weight all my life. Had Lap Band surgery in July '07 and lost 100 lbs. Was down to 150, went back up to 176 and am about 165 right now. I have no problem with exercise but it's the food addictions that I can't seem to beat!

I'm a 27 year old female who wants to get really healthy and fit. I want to look good and feel good. I havebeen overwight all my adult life and now want to change this finally.

I am 41 years old, a kindergarten teacher and a mother of 2.

Married, mom of a teenager, work full time in advertising and marketing industry, family manager who often ends up changing my own schedule to suit others.

I AM A HF BORN AND RAISED IN FLORIDA... I AM A 911 DISPATCHER

49 years old, diabetic, married and no kids at home. You would think it would be easy to diet, but I have no activities and sit at the computer ALL DAY at work. I come home and sit too. My treadmill is calling out to me as well as my wii fit. My husband and I live in Illinois, looking to relocate to Orlando soon. We have an RV we keep at an RV resort about 20 miles away and try to get out there once a month.

I turned 40 this year. I am married to an awesome man and we have two girls, 14 and 11, who are both home schooled.

I'm 18 years old, just under 6feet tall, and I refuse to weigh myself, but estimate that I'm around 175lbs. I want to lose the 50lbs before my birthday in March. This is hard for me because I have been down the road of eating disorders and so every change in my dieting and exercise must be handled delicately.

I am 19 years old and attending University. I have been struggling all of my teenage life with weight, going up and down. I recently weighed almost my ideal weight but gained 10 pounds back over the summer because I was abroad and couldn't exercise where I was. I travel a lot and want to feel comfortable with myself while traveling and don't want to have to worry about my weight and clothing.

I am a happily married Mom of three little girls who are the joy in my life. I have been overwieght my whole life but I am approaching the largest that I have ever been. A few years ago I was able to lose 60 pounds but slowly gained it back due to poor eating and no exersize. I enjoy scrapbooking and crafting, spending time with my kids and my hubby!

I am a musician, teacher and love the creative side of life. I write music and scrapbook as well as many other creative avenues. I love to be out of doors in any weather.

Mom of three - youngest is 3 and 1/2....I run for my main exercise....training for a half marathon, but still holdin gon to the last of the weight due to poor eating choices....

I used to play High School/College Field Hockey, track, and volleyball. Running clears my head and calms me down, and I'd like to be in good enough shape to do it more. I work in an office so i really have to utilize my time outside of work which is hard because I have three children under the age of 5, and a husband who is in the military so his schedule his kind of hectic. I also don't have anyone to watch my children so I can work out, so it has been a kind of fun and spontaneous thing for me to go to the gym BY MYSELF when my husband is home.

I'm 20 years old. I have been over weight for a large portion of those 20 years. I'm short so when I tell people my weight they tell me that they wish that they were my size. I think I hide it well. I would like to lose about 25 pounds. This is reasonable considering my BMI.

I am a 21 year old female that just returned home from Iraq. I gained 23 pounds on all the high calorie diets. :(

I'm a 42 year old married teacher and artist. I'm 5'5", 235lbs, and hate it. I'm also vegetarian and find it difficult to manage my carbohydrate intake.

I am a 32 year old chemist. I have been married to my husband for 12 years and we have 2 wonderful kids. I have been overweight all my life. I had weightloss surgery several years ago, and I thought that was it - I would be thin. I lost over 150 lbs, but I have gained 80 back. I out-ate the surgery. If only they could have done surgery on my brain instead of my stomach. Right now I am 278 lbs. I want to change my bad habits and lose it for good!

I'm a nurse a single mom of 2 daughters I love doing anything with my girls esp watching them play softball but I'm tired of being the mom on the sidelines I want to be the mom that helps

I'm 24, female, I currently weigh 155lbs and stand 5'5". I would like to lose 20 lbs. I am sick of yo-yo dieting, and have resolved not to diet this time. Instead I will focus on eating as much whole food as I possibly can.

I am crazy! But soon I will be smaller and crazy!

I'm a 22-year-old recent college grad and former athlete; I'd love to get back in shape and lose about 30 lbs. I lost a lot of fitness because of injuries (namely, tendonitis and a broken femur in '07) and plan to regain fitness through a careful but challenging workout regimen.

19, female, college student. i've gained the freshman 15 and it's time to get back to reality.

I am a mother of 2 ( 3 and 7 months) I worked out through pregnancy so I would not break the scales and then I lost all but 5 pounds and headed back to my office job and gained 15 pounds. My daughter is at the stage of speaking the truth and she said I had a big butt. I don't want a big butt anymore. It is time to get rid of it and be healthy once and for all.

I'm 5 foot 5 1/2 and I weigh 150 pounds.

I quit smoking January 1st, 2009 and was successful in also gaining twenty pounds! After quitting, I stopped working out and simply focused on not smoking. Now that I am confident that I will no longer go back to smoking, it's time to work on the weight and get back into the swing of things! I have recently worked with a couple of personal trainers without any results. I have now decided to commit to train for a half marathon and start running to improve my health and to lose weight.

I'm 23, mother to a beautiful little boy, and getting married in October of 2010. I love to laugh, read, and take life a day at a time!

I am 55 and a mom of three teenagers! I love art,my husband and my faith is important to me.

I am a 30 year old mother of a beautiful and intelligent 18 month old little girl. I have not been able to get rid of the 30 lbs I gained during my pregnancy. I am VERY unhappy with my appearance. I am 5'5 and 190 lbs. I work in a hospital laboratory and this can be very stressful when coupled with demanding physicians and a shortage of lab techs in my department. When I am stressed I eat, the more unhealthy the foods the better I feel ( til I get on the scale). I haven't exercised in about 4 years. 2 years ago I was diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondilytis and have been very hesitant about exercising due to being afraid of the pain that may return. I am hoping that by next year this time I would have reached my goal.

I'm an undergrad student in the middle of the hectic time. I'm a double major, double minor student in the honors college, and am currently in the process of applying for internships and grad schools. I'm also heavily involved with the clubs on campus. I'm president of one club, secretary of another, and a frequent guest editor for our school magazine. I quite simply do not have a lot of free time.

I'm 23 years old, married with no children. Im 5'8 feet tall and weigth 282 pounds.

Hairstylist, full time nursing school, full time work... 7 days a week... Busy busy busy

I have heart disease on both sides of my family. I am currently 36 years old with 1 son (13) and 1 step-son (22). I have a wonderful husband I have been married to for almost 17 years (5-16). I have had a sit-down job for the past 8.5 years and I have really packed on the weight. I'm tired of looking in the mirror and seeing double chins and a big butt. I want to get fit and be healthy so that I may live (hopefully) a long life with my family. Current height 5 feet 3 inches, weight 180 pounds.

I am 50+, happily married with two kids in high school. I have always been active, but it seems that every year for the last several, I have put on an additional five pounds

I'm 33 and started gaining the weight about ten years ago when I switched from very active, on-my-feet jobs and an active lifestyle to sitting at a desk all day. I'm married without kids, but with a cat and two rats. My husband used to be a Marine but put on 80lbs during cancer treatments, so he's in the same boat I am!

I'm 45, married, 1 son - 19

im 23 year old newlywed with 2 kids. i use to weigh 128 before my babies, now im 174! i cannot deal with this body anymore!!! im only 5 feet tall!!

http://www.last.fm/user/unrealgirl <------music I like. I am going to be baptised soon. I am 194lbs :( I am 23. I am a girly girl. I only own one pair of trousers. I am studying Medieval and Early Modern history. My favorite passage in the Bible is the one which says "The weakness of God is stronger than the strength of man, the foolishness of God is wiser than the wisdom of man". I worry about the shallowness and ultimate import of trying to lose weight, after all, its a very different issue than trying to simply become less attached to food, in some senses it is the opposite. That said my brother has recently contracted type 2 diabetes, my gran had it, and I have been gaining weight so rapidly... I think I have an excuse to worry about it.

58 year old guy who spends the work day in an office in front of a computer. I like to get out and enjoy the great Colorado outdoors whenever possible. Of course I love to cook and enjoy trying different recipes that I happen to stumble across.

I've been married since 1995 and have 4 children. From teens to 2's. I'm currently 33 years old.

40 year old mother of FIVE - - ages 12, 14, 19, 21 & 23 with two (and a third on the way) grandbabies! I am an "out" lesbian in a fairly new relationship after recently ending another of 3 years. An auto accident two years ago - along with an extreme dive in self esteem and motivation - has led to significant weight gain and an ongoing "pity party" which I need to escape!

Im 18 and i live in BC, love nature, art, photography, being rambunctious with friends, i don't consider my self over weight, i weight about 140LBs, i just want to feel more confident! maybe 10-15 pounds less would do it!

I am a single Mom to the most fantastic little guy in the world, I work full time as a Manager at McDonalds, and I love to meet and chat to new people

I'm 18 years old, and am currently 203 lbs. I have always been overweight and slowly have been gaining more and more weight. I've always wanted to change things, and now I believe I am ready to make those big changes in my life!

A girl at work and I decided we should lose weight & then we'd treat ourselves to some fun stuff! A trip together, a b*kini wax. :-) and an all male review!! Three things we've never done so needless to say I want to lose weight.

I love life. There is nothing more like enjoying a beautiful day and knowing that you have one more day to live your best life. I enjoy cooking for friends and traveling.

New mom, love to be outdoors and spend time with family and friends

I am a 20 year old college junior who has been the same weight since I was about 14 years old. Never thought I was Fat but always wanted to be more fit.

I am married and a mother of three children- 9yrs, 5yrs, and 3 months old. So as you can see I'm very busy.

I am a college student who loves music (playing/ listening), drawing, and telling bad jokes. I have a gluten and dairy intolerance AND pcos, so not only do I have trouble finding food that I can readily eat between classes (or anytime), I also have a fairly difficult time losing weight. So far, i am liking being a gluten-free vegan!

I'm a 22 year old woman who is preparing for the Air Force. For my career as an Airman I must be extremely fit. I would prefer to be the top of my flight by the end of Basic Training.

I am 37, and have been overwieght since I was 10. I have been on some form of diet and excercise program ever since. I lead a active lifestyle of mountain biking, hiking and snowboarding. Main goal is to be physical fit for the lifestyle I lead.

All my life I have been dieting, I am 5'7", and about 142lbs right now. I would like to lose 10 more lbs. I will be 50 years old in December and it is getting harder and taking longer to drop my weight. I have weighed as much as 190lbs at one point in my life. I always go to extremes when I diet. I probably have some sort of eating disorder. That is why I signed up for this support. I need to get off the roller coaster and start taking care of myself. I have some health problems that make it rough to workout, but I try to work around that.

I am 50 and have a wonderful husband and children. I have 2 daughters (ages 27 and 24) and 2 sons (ages 24 and 10). I am generally a happy, positive, easy going person who loves life. I look to my faith in God to help me through this as well as any other struggles I might have in my life. I am determined to do this!

I'm a new Dental Hygienist, wife of 5.5 years and mother of a lovely 2 year old daughter.

I am an avid runner, and recently started triathalons in the off season...I just can't seem to keep my hands off the snacks

Wife & mom of 4

I am 35 year old, mother of three, one girl and two boys. My oldest is in her late teens, my middle (9yo) has special needs and my youngest is in preschool. I am about 50-60 pounds overweight and shrinking. I don't focus on that too much. I focus on my health. I focus on whatever works for me today. I refuse to feel badly about any of it. I focus on success and improvement. I do the best I can every day and start over every morning.

19 years, want to lose weight by cutting calories, drinking water and walking.

26, Single Male, Lawyer, Highest Weight 100kg, Goal Weight 60 kgs.

I am a 32 yr old single mom of one..I follow a low carb lifestyle and I work at least 3x a week..doing 45 min cardio and I lift weights..but the weight will not come off...I am looking for members who are at the weight I want to maintain...If I don't find you and you see me add me as a friend or let me know so I can read your logs.

I am 31 I am married to a wonderful man I have a 14yr old daughter. I have been struggling with my weight since my daughter was born. I just joined weight watchers and plan to lose 130lbs.....

I am 47 years old and live in Northeast Nebraska. I am the mother of 3 young men - ages 21, 20 & 19. I have struggled with weight all my life. I know what to do, but I just don't do it.

i am 25 year old female....i am happily married...no children...but i would like to lose weight so that i am not miserable and so that i can be around for when i do have them. i work at a hospital and i enjoy helping people...so its strange to say that i help and inspire people everyday...but i can inspire myself...hmm...odd...lol...so i am hoping that this is the place to be to help me.

I am a college student, I love beer and friends and having fun, I work at PF Changs, and I need to keep track of my eating habits!

I know it might seem like a really small amount of weight to lose, but this 5kg is really bothering me. And it's not so much that weight that I want to lose, but my terrible habits that have taken place too. I binge eat terribly when I'm feeling down/stressed/bored, make really irrational eating decisions. Eat when I'm not hungry, eat the wrong things, etc. Then I'll feel guilty and try to "be good" and go on fad diets. Now I'm finally keen to slowly get back into my exercise that I used to do every morning and slowly make small adjustments to slowly lose this weight so I can feel better for Summer and get into my clothes from last Summer (this 5kgs has only jumped on this year!)

I'm 6-7 and tall, work as a courier, love to read, watch movies, and I love to dance. Unfortunately I haven't done a lot of dance due to a lazy lifestyle (kids and life will do that to you sometimes). Now I want to get back on the wagon (or exercise bike) and get back into being fit not because I have to but because I want to.

I used to be very active when I was younger. I played a multitude of sports and did a lot of outdoor activities (frisbee golf, hiking, snowboarding)

I am a single mom to a 7 year old, work full time, and have very little "me" time. So hopefully I will figure out how to get this weight loss going here =) Love to dance...(have some drinks)...and I am very outgoing. I am the Happy-Go-Lucky kinda personality!

New to PeerTrainer, 26 year old, professional, social - loves spending time with friends, family, concerts, snowboarding... Looking for folks who can help encourage me to log my food/activity - I know that keeping a log is a huge step towards becoming more accountable for your habits, and I think PeerTrainer can make the logging even more beneficial (and fun!) if we all do it together.

I am 34 years old. Just 2 1/2 years ago, I was in the best shape of my life. I worked out with a trainer 3x/week and was eating healthily. I weighed ~137 lbs. and was on my way to losing a few more. Since then, I've fallen off the wagon - hard. In the past year or so (since December 2009, more precisely), my weight has gone up to as much as 160lbs. I have NEVER even weighed 150. There are circumstances in my life that, I'm sure, contributed to my weight gain - from tragedy to happiness. However, I am miserable with myself. I can't fit into ANY of the jeans I own, or much of anything else hanging in my closet for that matter. I feel defeated, especially since (as a woman) my metabolism and ability to drop weight has become more of a challenge. I know I need to make changes in my life and I am ready to take the steps to do so. I thought I knew what to do, but I'm proving myself wrong. My wedding is in April 2010. While it is an immediate goal to achieve the weight and size I'd like for this memorable milestone in my life, it's also a good time to make the necessary lifestyle changes - if not for health and longevity.

I'm a 26 year old female from the Metro Atlanta area.

I am 24 years old and live in the small town of Port Angeles, WA with my boyfriend and our cats. I am a dance instructor, performer, and competitor. Since gaining weight over the last two years, I have only been on stage once. I miss it.

I am 36 years old. Married with two kids. Work full time.

Hi! I'm Crystal, I'm 28, mother to one wonderful little boy named Charlie, currently on mat leave but will be going back to work in December. I've been married for nearly 5 years to my nearly perfect husband Chris. We live in Calgary, Alberta where I work as an engineering tech for a consulting firm. We have two yellow labs who we walk regularly at the off leash park. We both enjoy biking and like to take our son biking with us.

28 year old female banker, trying to get my weight bak on track after gaining over 20 pounds in 2 years!!

I'm a happy mom of 2 girls. I own a custom cake shop. I love to cook, camp, read, and work on our house that was built in 1876. Got engaged on 11/15, and plan to be married 7/10/10!!

26 y/o female, recently moved to NYC from Long Island. I'm not extremely overweight but extremely unhappy with my weight and eating habits. Sometimes I'm at a loss and I don't know where to go or what to do.

I'm a 20 year old female, currently in my 3rd year of University for Pharmacy. I have horrible eating habits and should know better since I have taken university level nutrition courses. I just ignore my own conscience. I also work part time at a nightclub so I often don't get done work until 3:00-4:00 am. I'm usually hungry by that time so I overeat and then go right to bed only to wake up feeling horrible. Between work and school I feel like I don't have much time to exercise either.

I'm a married 40 year old RN. I have been blessed with 2 beautiful boys ages 20 months and 5 yrs old. I have struggled with weight the majority of my life and I'm struggling with make lifestyle changes. I know the right way to live but I struggle with the implementation of that knowledge.

Well my weakness is dark chocolate and coffee. I say I'm addicted to coffee. I tend to get headaches when I don't have my iced coffee every morning. I will cut my iced coffee's to at least 2 a week versus everyday.

I turned 40 this year. I quit smoking almost ten years ago (yay!). I eat too much to make me feel better about my life.

I'm 62, still working. My Mom just came to live with us after my Dad passed away when she was diagnosed with a brain tumor!

Well i am 19 years old. two years ago i was very slim...i was eating like shit but i was dating a guy that was very active and wanted me to be active with him. So since we have not b een together for two years my weight has slowely but surely increased. I eat bad, i was a bad drinker for two years which added a lot of weight as well. I like to have fun, but i need to incorperate exercise with that.

I am semi-retired divorced older woman that is diabetic and obsese. I work a night job 3 nights a week. I think it is the reason I have put on so much weight recently. It's not good for you to be up all night and sleep all day. And it really messes up your blood sugar.

I am 46 yo, 5ft 5in and 198lbs nursing student mother of four.

I am a 41 yr. old dentist and have had a stressful year. I dealt with it through food and feel horrible and unhealthy. I know it bothers my three boys.

I am 26 years old. I weigh about 160 pounds and am 5'4'' tall. I have been married for 5 months now. I live in Western Kentucky now. About 2 months ago I moved here from MS due to loss of jobs.

I'm fat and I'd like to not be anymore.

I'm 21-year- majoring in management information systems I hope to find here friends to support me and encouraging me to lose weight

I am 44 years old. I am an elementary school teacher, with a second and third grade combination class this year. It is a stressful job, as there is no time to rest. I am working about 12 hour days, and not eating right. I have support at home, a great husband, a 17 year old son, and a 20 year old son in college (not living at home). I would like to be able to reduce my stress, and live a healthier lifestyle.

I'm 24 years old and a graduate student about to embark on my career life. I've dieted so much in my life that I don't know what it's like to not diet. But, I've never been successful "dieting." I've always had more bad days than good. I'm hoping this time, I can turn things around.

I am a single/divorced mother of 4 AWESOME children. I have a very sendentary job and desperately want to move more. My hope is that I will be able to use this for ministering to overweight children and their parents.

I am 41, married and a mother of 2 girls. One daughter is married and one in high school. I like to read books, but don't have much time to read. I have started to crochet, with which is not my personality at all, but I like it. I like to cook and have a cookbook fetish. Why? I don't know. I love to hang out with friends. I like playing euchre, spades, hearts, pinocle and poker.

i am a full time mom of 4 and a full time student

I am a 23 year old student currently finishing school. Over the past year i gained weight. I gained over 30 lbs. I used to weigh 140 and got up to 170. I worked full time and worked 12 hour shifts 4 days a week. I maintained going to school full time also. Life was convenient by stopping by the drive thru. My doctor told me my unhealthy lifestyle caused my kidney stones to occur. After having surgery I realized I needed to change. Its not fun when you have to take meds and have to wait for the stones to pass. I currently dropped my work load and am working part time. I started going to the gym for the past month I lost 10lbs and continue to go. Even if it kills me. Just want to get healthy and look better.

american born, living in israel w my beloved BF for many years, love to cook and have always fought weight all my life. Last year discovered that Im hypothyroid Im fat and uncomfortable. I want to lose weight to be lighter and sexier/

I am 42 years old, joined the active duty military when I was 4 months from turning 35 and am a mother of 2 boys that are grown and out of the house. At 39 years old and after many years of total losers in my life, I finally met a man that is a true keeper! I have never been happier! But after smoking for 29 years, I went to bed one night, on Sunday, 20 September, 2009 and just decided that when I finished my last cigarette that I was going to stop smoking, start eating healthy and become extremely fit. So on the 27th of September 2009 at 9:10 pm, I smoked my last cigarette. I immediately began running and excercising and eating only healthy food. I gave up all diet cokes and now only drink water. Yes, I did quit cold turkey, but when I have an "urge" I suppliment it with excercise everytime. If I am driving and want a cigarette, I eat sunflower seeds instead. I am doing great so far and have never felt better!!

I'm 31 years old, male, 6' 1" and starting at 231.5 lbs. I want to lose to under 200. I've been down around 210 several times, but I've been yo-yoing back up and stabilizing around 220-225 for the last 5-6 years now.

I am a feshman at Oklahoma Baptist University and I have struggled with my body image since I was 12. I have developed 4 eating disorders in this time and so that is a struggle in and of itself. I am both lactose intollerant and wheat/gluten intollerant. I have two major reasons for wanting to lose weight and get into shape. (1) I am majoring in mursing so taking care of my body is something that I feel I should take very seriously (coming from a medical viewpoint) and (2) what I really want to do when I grow up is get married and have a family. I want to be the mom who runs around and plays with my kids, and not the one who sets them down in front of the TV. I love anything and everytihng that has to do with being outside. I love hiking, camping, kayaking, rock climbing, climbing mountains, and going on picnics! I want my wieght loss to enhance my love for all of these things!

I am a 36 year old wife and mother of 2 sons ages 11 and 12. I work full time and am very busy with my boys and their after school activities. I have lost and gained weight my entire life. 2 years ago I lost 67 pounds, then ended up having my gallbladder out and one month later having L4-L5 back surgery. Needless to say, due to many homecooked meals from wonderful friends and due to lack of activity, I gained back 40 pounds. I finally returned to the gym and thought I was on the right path again, and ended up having another L4-L5 back surgery this past March (2009). Again, I gained weight and am only down 10 pounds from where I started 2 years ago. I have an 85 pound weight loss goal.

Over the summer I changed branches for my job. My new boss eats out ALL the time, and as a result, I do, too. Unfortunately, most the things that I eat when we go out really aren;t that great for you (Cracker Barrel sometimes, wings, fast food, etc). Since then, I have gained about 15-20 pounds. When I first moved over there, I weighed about 115, now I've been hovering at 129. I just don't want to see that 130! I'm also supposed to be training for a Half Marathon that is going to be in March..that training thing is hard to get around to. The motivation isn't there to practice and train.

I am a 29 year old single mom of a 4-year old beautiful boy. I've been a member since 2009 but am just starting to make the commitment to decreasing my weight and increasing my health, happiness, and self-esteem. I am 5'6" and currently weigh 247 pounds :-o. This week I will be joining the "point of no return" program and will NOT look back! Good luck to all of you!!

I am 31 years old and have 3 children ages 1 month, 16 months, and 12 yrs. old. I am a full time mother and work overnights, as well as homeschool my 12 yr. old daughter. I have a wonderful husband who I love dearly even though he believes that if he eats healthy foods it will kill him. Now I'm ready to put my foot down and start eating healthy again.

Mid 30's. Mother, wife, friend, employee, sister and in general a very happy person.

I am a mom of 3 wonderful girls ages 9, 7 and 2, and a wife to a wonderful man that I have been married to for 11 years. I come from a family that likes to eat, and I have children that prefer to eat veggies and fruit, I myself am a meat and potato kind of gal. Carbs are my downfall. I love too cook and am always looking for ways to come up with something new.

I am a single mom of two little girls, Ava is 5 and Ashlee is 2. I am currently going through a divorce that is scheduled to be finalized on 11/25/09. I have been overweight all my life. It is now time to take control of my life once and for all! I have never been able to do it before but now I have my two small children depending on me.

I am a college student. I play DIII lacrosse, so I am very active but I have never been able to loose weight.

My name is Kristin, and I'm a 26 year old Program Manager for a company near my home. I'm an active person--run, lift, etc., but I just want to make sure I stay active during the winter months ahead.

I am 21, and my highest weight was 205 pounds in 2006. I have been through some pretty rough times because of being put on anti-depressants and various anxiety medications at a young age (17). Also, I have been experiencing binge eating disorder since childhood. My weight was never a problem until I went on my first anti-depressant. After that, I consistently gained about 10 pounds a month on my originally healthy 130 pound frame until I hit my high of 205 in October 2006. I stayed around that weight until a month after I quit all medications cold turkey in April of 2008. I started to track my calories and exercise soon after, and lost a total of 70 pounds by January 2009. I have only gained back about ten pounds at the worst moment (a few weeks ago), but after seeing the number creep up and feeling sluggish I decided to reconstruct my lifestyle. Now I have been keeping a strict food diary and mental health journal, as well as exercising a total of 5x per week: 5-64 minute cardio sessions (walking 4 mph, sometimes at a 2% incline for 20 minutes or more) and 2-45 minute medium intensity full-body weight lifting sessions. I feel much stronger than I've been ever in my life, and plan to make something of all of this when I'm a bit older. Hopefully my success can help others, including those who have or are currently struggling with medication-related weight gain or binge eating disorder.

I had gastric bypass surgery 2.7.07 - I lost 150 pounds, and gained back 50... no one can tell me that GBS is a shortcut - you have to WORK to keep it successful. I teach voice lessons full time, and was married 8.8.09. My life is filled with food... I love food... but I have to learn to do it better!

I am a computer geek. My title is Internal Systems Administrator. I sit at the computer all day, all night. I am a game junky and love playing games on the computer. I have become progressively fat. I am at least 80 pounds over weight. I have gained the most within the last couple years. I had some foot spurs and a shoulder injury that stopped my walking and started the weight to pile on fast.

I'm an English student at Vanderbilt University. I'm interested in women's studies and communication studies as well. I read a lot. The reason that I am seeking support now with weight loss is because I lack motivation entirely. I beat myself up all day about being too fat, but I never actually do anything. I just need someone to push me, and I need to learn how to push myself.

I am a mother to a beautiful 5 month old baby girl. I am currently working on my Master's Degree in Accounting, so between the two, I stay pretty busy.

I'm learning how to be healthier and leaner by being accountable to myself.

I am 27 years old and weigh 235lbs I have been overweight my entire life. I am a stay-home mom with 2 beautiful boys and a wonderful husband.

I'm 34 years old, I'm 5'11" and weigh 270 lbs. I've had weight problems my whole life but it was usually in a healthy range. I've had 2 knee surgeries and I just gave up after the first one. I've found excuses to not exercise and do the right thing. But now I'm tired of the way I look, I hate looking in the mirror and seeing what I've become. I also have to worry about diabetes, high cholesterol and cancer since all of that runs in my family. I just need some motivation and someone to be accountable to to keep me on track this time.

I'M ONE OF THE HAPPIEST PEOPLE I KNOW

I'm 27, female, live in Colorado. Earlier this year I decided that I wanted to become a runner... so I did. In the process, I shed 50+ lbs and am now competing monthly in various road race distances. My ultimate goal is to run a marathon in 2010.

I am 52 1/2 years old. I married my sweetheart 34 years ago! We had 5 biological children and then when our "baby" was 10 years old, we adopted 2 boys. (One was 4 months younger than our Biological son) 9 months later we adopted a little girl who had been in our home as a Foster child since 4 months after the boys moved into our home. Today our 8 children range in age from 32-8. We have one son-in-law, one daughter-in-law and a soon to be daughter-in-law. We have 3 grand children too.

I am 43 approaching 44 rapidly and a working IT sales professional and mother of a 5 year old boy and 2 year old girl. I find I do not seem to be as health conscious since I had my children. This is mainly because my husband doesn't seem to have interest in eating more vegetarian foods and I am too tired to cook for myself and for him separately. I believe exercise will give me more energy, weight loss and I will feel better mentally, emotionally and spirtually.

I love food but also love to fit into my jeans. I like to find easy alternatives to foods I crave and ways to get exercise in my day. I have several ways to maintain my weight, but with cravings like mine and the want to be lazy and give up can strike at any time so I need all the extra advice and help I can get. I love to create recipes and find foods to both satisfy my cravings and keep my waist trim. I document a lot of great tips and recipes I have found on my website to help others: www.havecakeeat2.com

Im a 3rd year nursing student nearing the beginning of a nursing career late in life. Weight has been the constant in my life. Forever gaining back more than lost, that the failure consumes you and inhibits you from trying again for sometime. With all I've learnt, I should lead by example but it is harder to apply in personal life. Besides the weight; I am happily single, 41, have 4 children, 3 grandchildren, soon to be 4 anyday now. The nest is nearly empty with only my 10 yr old son with me, plus my daughter's 8 cats (she left behind). I am New Zealand Maori; to Maori, food is very important - we love food and love gathering together and sharing food. Culltural foods choices have not always been healthy; and New Zealand is beautiful country.

I am 20 yr old female, moving to Florida to go to school for nursing/ nutrition. I am moving from every one I know, so I can focus on my goals and what I want. I like sports, you can say I am a tom boyish type, I don't like sitting down too long, I need to be moving.

The name's Jake, I'm 25, and 220ish pounds on any given day. The only reason I don't gain any weight due to my horrendous eating habits is because I'm a black belt in karate and teach 4 days a week. Still, though I teach, I don't have a whole lot of time to practice, and even 5 hours a day of teaching isn't the same as an hour of intensive black belt training. I like a lot of extreme sports, like rock-climbing, white-water rafting, and I'm getting into more all the time.

I am a 34-year-old mother of two with type 1 diabetes and hypothyroidism wanting to lose 60 lbs. I was always skinny until after I got diabetes when I was 20 and then had my two children. I am 19 years old (almost 20) and have had one heck of a struggle with weight loss. When I was 12, i was diagnosed with NASH, which causes fatty pockets to build on the liver and makes it very hard to lose weight. At that time, i weight almost 200 pounds and carried that weight on till i was about 15, then decided I needed a reality check. I stopped drinking soda and energy drinks and worked out a lot more and got down to 160. Last year I lost my dad and binged. I was at 160 for 3 years till he passed away then gained 25 pounds. I got on the calorie diet and lost 15 pounds in 3 weeks then did the HCG diet and lost 10 pound in 20 days. I am not at 162 and wish to see the weight of 150, or in the 150's. Ive had a hard struggle because I just lost my grandfather a month ago and dont want to get into bad habits again. Any help would be nice.

I'm a mother of a baby boy, married, and I live in a very, very small town. There is no gym here, and with a baby it's hard to find time to get out to exercise. I weigh 185 right now and I am simply disgusted with my weight. I want to get down to a weight that I havent been in years because I know there is diabetes on both sides of my family and I dont want to deal with that.

I've struggled with my weight my whole life. Well, how can I not, when I come from a family of good cooks with huge appetites. I am doing this to have a longer life and maybe I could finally meet the girl of my dreams. By the way, I'm a web developer and a part -time editor of custom research papers.

I am a 42 year old female.

I recently had my first daughter june 5th 2009. im getting married in june =].. im 21 yrs old. i never really had a problem with weight before, i cheerleaded all my life and in 2007 i tried out for the tampa bay bucks cheerleading team...[didnt quite make it lol]now im just trying to lose the ret of my baby weight!!!

I am 35 and been running for 1 year now. I have 1 child a 9 year old boy. I work full time as a dog trainer. I try to eat healthy and exercise daily. I have lost 70 pounds in the last year and a half. By watching what I eat and staying active.

39 yr old newlywed mother of a 10yr old. I've always been the pretty girl who would be so much prettier if she lost weight.

I am a working mother of 5. I have a very stressful job, both at home and in the workplace. I have tried every diet under the sun. Right now I believe the Beck Diet offers some new ideas that really may help me.

I am married & a 43 year old recent empty nester. My 19 yr. old son started college this fall. I have been a stay at home mom for 13 years. I am an emotional eater who frequently sabotages myself during the day when I'm home alone. I am frustrated and ready to change.

I am 47 years old, and have been fighting the battle of the bulge since I was 10 years old. I have become morbidly obese, and need to have other people of like mind to help me stay focused and keep from sabotaging myself when I start to have some success and keep going when I don't want to.

Today is my 1st day on my diet (I mean healthier lifestyle) Unemployed. Depressed. I lost over 100lbs about 4 yrs. ago. then gained it back + more. I have a hard time right now exercising. I have had 2 knee surgeries in the last 3 yrs. But I will not make this an excuse for not exercising.

single mom of three, self employed.

im 26 years old, 5 ft 9 and i weigh 165 right now. I have always been up and down with my weight for many years. my lowest ever was 145 and i was very happy with that weight, i felt great.

I am a 38 year old mother of 3 boys, married for 8 + years, working part time and in graduate school. I enjoy art as a hobby which I don't have a lot of time for these days!

Im 20, 5'6 and 140 pounds (hopefully not for long) I am a college student studying Occupational Therapy and really want to be successful. I have a good head on my shoulders but can slip up every once in a while. I'm strong but very self conscious. I want more than anything to live like they do on The Hills haha but that's just crazy. Shopping and tanning and chocolate make me happy but so does a good movie, driving in the car with music, beautiful scenery, or helping others. I am stubborn and find it hard to admit when im wrong but I usually only speak when i know im right. I get jealous of other people way too much and am horrible at dealing with stress. All in all im very complex and even I dont really know myself.

I'm 18 years old and I don't believe I am extremely overweight but I definitely could stand to lose about 20-25 pounds. I know how to eat healthier and exercise correctly, it's just sticking to the lifestyle that's the hard part. Wish me luck!

I am 27 years old wanting to lose about 40 pounds. I work in a grocery store in the deli. Have never been married and do not have any children.

.

I'm 27, mother of a wonderful 5 year old girl, and have been with my husband for almost 9 years.

I am a 56 year old Mom of 2 early 20 children, suffering from empty nest with both kids many miles away. I am an emotional eater. I have lost 50pounds 3 times in my life and kick myself for regaining....I now need to lose 60.

I recently graduated with my Masters from UT at Austin. Now I'm working at an awesome job in a college library. I'm happily married since Sept. 29, 2007 and we have a yorkie named Emma. Both my husband and I feel like we've let ourselves get overwhelmed by our bad habits that we started in college, and we both want to "grow up" a little and be more responsible. I've been a student for almost 20 years, and I'm finding the changing schedule, much less the changed identity, a little overwhelming.

I

I am a full time working mother of two teenage boys. Both are very active in sports and keep me running year round. It is time to take some me time so I can feel better about myself.

I am 19 years old. 155 pounds 5'5. I really want to lose this weight to boost my confidence.

38,gain weight due to lots of binge drinking and eating having a stress related problem

Female, age 56, very active usually, although double-sprained my ankle @ 6 weeks ago so have been inactive and wearing a "boot". Still have @ 1 week to go with it. Haven't gone back to gym yet or started walking again with my greyhounds. Hope to be able to start back soon.

I am a 25-year-old female, and I recently moved back home after living in NYC all by myself for a year and a half. I am happy to be near my friends, family, and boyfriend in MA again. However, I need to get back to working out and eating right. I have been eating out way too much over the last few months, and I need to get back in shape and now. I used to be a size 6; now I am a size 16. I used PEERtrainer before, and I almost reached my goals. I hope to do it again by posting everyday, being active, and sticking to it! Plan: eat healthy and work out at least 3 times a week at the gym and run 2 times a week.

I am 37, a writer, and just not active enough. I actually used to be fit. Then, age, metabolism, and lifestyle changed and I put on an extra 60 pounds (I quit smoking which added 20#). Just found out I have borderline high blood pressure and made the decision to lose 60 pounds. I'd also like to be able to go up a flight of stairs and not feel the least bit winded.

I am 41, single with one son(21). I woudl ike to be an empty nester but he has already come back...LOL. I enjoy a variety of activities and am trying to enjoy life. Maybe even find someone of like mind to share it with.

I am the mother of a gorgeous 2 year old son...I have lost most of my post pregnancy weight gain by running on my treadmill....I now have 10 more pounds to loose and i decided to join the gym to do this because i need to tone my body too... I need to maintain a healthy lifestyle because i am predisposed to Type 2 Diabetes

I am a 35 year old mother who is originally from PA. My daughter is almost 12 and my stepdaughter is 19.

I am a busy mom who will be an empty nester soon. I work and attend school part-time. I ran for several years but recently my exercise habits have fallen by the wayside.

I am 52 and have been overweight for most of those years. I am a widow, mother, and grandmother, and a power of attorney clerk in Toronto. So I guess stress could be a factor. My blood pressure is high so I need to get my weight down at least 50 pounds.

My name is Katie. i'm from ohio. i have 2 kids both boys one is 5 and one is 7 months. i'm married. my husband and i have been married since march 8 2007. i love him so much. he has been there for me when no one else has. he means the world to me.

26 years old, single and recently completed graduate school.

Just had a baby,a student and is very busy. Wants to loose weight to feel better and to be in more shape.

I am a senior college student getting 2 degrees-1 in marketing and 1 in Information Systems Technology. I also work 30 hours a week and am getting married in June. My fiance can eat literally anything and not gain a pound, but I can't.

I am a 20 year old college student that is at least 20 pounds overweight.

I am a full time mother, Active Duty wife, full time student, part time customer service worker and cake business owner...does that sound a little busy? ;)

Fast approaching 55, the main problem with my slow and steady weight gain over the last ten years has a lot to do with my profession: I'm a chef and culinary arts teacher. Food is my life! The tasting and sampling adds up, and I'm constantly thinking and talking about food. And I'm on my feet so much that when there's time to exercise, I'd rather not... Because I work so much, my hobbies these days are limited and somewhat passive - love to read, write, travel, spending time with my niece...

I am a 23 year old female. I am a first semester nursing student also working part time for a law firm. My life is so busy and stressfull right now. I live in an apartment with my boyfriend. I was always an athlete (gymnast) so i am very muscular, but since i have stop i have gained a lot of weight on top.

I have been overweight my whole life. I just turned 18 and I'm tired of it I'm ready for a change.

I am 26 years old and at an unhealthy weight and I am determined to do something about it. I can blame it on a lot of things, but i would just be fooling myself.

Married to Joe, Mom of 5, ranging in age from 13 to 3 year old twins. Taught pilates, yoga, kickbox, heavy bag works, bootcamps, aqua while an instructor. I'm also certified to teach Hip Hop Hustle and Zumba but didn't.

I am in my last year of college. I gained 30 pounds since I got married a year and a half ago.

I'm 60 years old and have been dieting since I was 11. The only successful diets I've been on have been crash diets or temporary low calorie diets. I eat healthy foods for the most part. It's snacking and eating at night that do me in. I also enjoy wine, which I realize is empty calories but I also accept it as something that adds to the quality of my life (I have a voice disorder and wine restores my voice to normal for at least a few hours). I'm also a 2 time breast cancer survivor and have osteoarthritis, which impacts my ability to exercise. Quality of life ranks very high for me.

I'm a college student who likes to have fun but wants to be healthy. I've started running and I really enjoy it. I used to dance a lot and I would like to get back into it, but it's very daunting when I don't have the body of a ballerina anymore. I play the cello and piano and sing. I love to meet people but I'm shy at first. I'm pretty self conscious of my body. I like to see results fast in anything I do.

I am married with 4 adult children, teach mathematics, like teaching, love mathematics, and love to travel.

I'm 24 yrs old and would love to get back down to my high school walking weight so that is what i'm striving for I really kind of let myself go.

I'm 23 year old student aspiring to become an elementary school teacher. I enjoy spending time with my sisters and I love everything Disney. I enjoy reading, writing in my numerous journals, watching a number of tv shows, and many other hobbies and activities.

I'm 16, really fun, outgoing, and will feel so much better and confident without being so self-conscoius about my body.

I am healthy and full of life but my nightly brownie batter cravings will be the death of me. I'm a 25 year old mother of 2 awesome kids. My hubby has a lot of health issues so we have to eat really healthy. the down side to that is when I get around junk food I stuff myself. I swear on Halloween I ate my body weight in candy bars. I am here to step up my life style by getting back into my high school jeans. I can fit in them but man, I don't do them justice. I'm here to change that. P.s No amount of exercise will get rid of my chipmunk cheeks darn it.

I am a 21 year old Junior at college and gained the freshmen 15 and haven't been able to lose it. I want to lose that weight and tone my body. I want to worry about my clothes to being too loose not too tight.

i go to the gym daily and enjoy a range of activities from films, music, socialising. I used to weigh 10 kg lighter than i am now and if i lose half of that would make me feel so much better

I am a stay at home mom of two young children. I also am currently working on my MS degree, and hope to be finished in roughly two years.

I am in my late 30's, married to a good guy; have a wonderful son and lovehandles! ;) Love to read, travel, cook, entertain, do new and adventerous things. Latest was skydiving at 15,000.

I'm a 32-year-old office worker in Ohio, with no kids and a very supportive boyfriend (who has a very high metabolism). I enjoy movies, reading, hiking with my boyfriend, walking with my dogs and eating out (my downfall). I currently weigh 239 pounds. I was an athletic 160-175 in high school and college and looked good, but I had to work out non-stop and eat very little to achieve that. In 2007, I topped out at 250. Today I am 239 and looking to lose in a healthy way.

I'm 23 years old, 5'1.5", and working everyday to be a healthy human being. I have a great job but it means a lot of time sitting in the office. I'm making new habits and bring on the health :)

i love nature, photography, writing poetry, baking and cooking.

38, married, mother of 1 (10yr old boy) and step mom to 1 (21yr old girl), work full time, also Event Chair for my local Relay For Life and son's cub scout den leader.

I'm 48 years old. Been married since I was 16 to Shaun. I am in about how fat I really am. A family photo yesterday opened my eyes- I look/am huge and my family all said it was a good picture. I think I need to lose at least 200 lbs. This is not an exaggeration. I need help.

I'm a student from England, recently gained a stone and was told by my own mother that i was fat so really kickstarted me into losing weight. Have tried many diets but have always fallen off the wagon. Really reallly tired of falling off the wagon... bruises man... managed to lose a stone over the summer but am now terrified of gaining it back and cant seem to lose anymore... really into acting, music and dance but lack of confidence because of my weight has inhibited this and im sick of it.

I am 25 year old mother of two terrific kids, a five-year old and a one-year old. I have a wonderful husband and I am currently earning my B.A. in Elementary Education.

I love writing, cycling, cooking, and lifting. I have lived mostly vegetarian for the last 8 years, but have found it difficult to keep my weight in check. I used to eat mostly beans, veggies, fruits, and grains. Unfortunately, all those carbohydrates didn't seem to be working for me. So I'm trying something new. It's not something I'm wholly comfortable with, since I believe that a primarily vegetarian diet is more environmentally sustainable than one with lots of organic meats. But I need to do something about my health. I'm just flat out tired of feeling tired all the time.

I am a 27 years old female from Minnesota. I am currently attending graduate school part-time, pursuing a masters in counseling. Someday I would like to be a licensed marriage and family therapist working in a private practice setting. Currently I work at an insurance company. I really enjoy my job and I love school. I also have a wonderful boyfriend. We live together and he is a great support to me while I am attending school and working. I do not have any children.

25 year old mother of a two year old. In my late teens/early twenties I was a health junkie, but somehow I fell off the bandwagon after my son's birth, an encounter with an autoimmune disorder (TTP) and lots of medical issues/depression related to that. I'm finally ready to start taking care of myself again!

i am 35yrs old, married, a SAHM, with a 21 mth daughter and 3.5yr son. i coach a sports team (marching, which is perhaps like a drill team in the US?) which takes up a fair amount of my time.

I am a 28 year old first year graduate student, studying mental health counseling. Wife of 7 years and mother of a 2 and 4 year old. I have lost 50 pounds in the past year but I am losing my motivation to keep going and seem to be sabotaging myself. I hope to use mental health counseling to help myself and others dealing with weight loss issues but I think that I need the support of other people that understand my situation on top of my education and training.

I work in the medical insurance. I am 34 years old no kids yet, one great step son to be. I love to dance and hike I am newly engaged and am motivated to get back to my orginal weight when my honey and I meet. I'm 28, ex military, currently working a desk job. Have been struggling with my weight since the birth of my daughter and would like to go from 180 lbs to 130, seeing as I am 5'4"

I'm 24 years old. I've been married for 5 years and have 2 wonderful children - Ian is 5 and Isobel is 2. I work for the Federal Government 8.5 hrs/day 5 days/week. On my days off I clean and grocery shop and prepare for the next week. Too much fast food and too little time to prepare healthy food for my family is starting to become a routine and that needs to stop.

20 years old, 5' 3", 170 lbs.

I used to be a full time athlete and always had issues with eating too much. but now that I no longer work out every day.. it has gotten out of hand.

I am a 27 year old who travel with my dog full time for work. Because of my work schedule and the fact that I live in a hotel room 99% of the time fast food is usually every meal. I come from a family of five children. I'm the middle child and the only one who isn't married with kids. I feel that my weight is large factor in me not having a family. In the past two years I lost my previous dog, my boyfriend of three years, and then my father. I have been depressed and put on even more weight. I have tried everything. I hope beyond hope that this site can help me.

Also, I would like to get into shape to go hiking again this summer, play recreational Ultimate or field hockey by next summer 2012.

Hello PT peeps! My name is Alicia. I am 25 yrs old and married to my HS sweetie. I am tired of being tired and not feeling my age. What I see staring back at me in the mirror is NOT something I like. I NEED support in order to acheive my goals and have decided to see if this site can help. Have a great day!

I just had a beautiful baby girl on Mothers Day, May 10 2009. I live with my husband and two children in Washington and absolutely love my life.

I was thin until 28 years old, when I gained about 75 lbs. when my sister was pregnant with her first child. I have been heavy ever since. (Ironically, I gained about 25 lbs. with my child and lost it within one month- what's up with that?) I have always had an eating disorder- actively bulimic until I was 24, body dysmorphic (thin but saw a fat person in the mirror), and am currently a binger. I eat over everything. I started to try to lose weight about two years ago, but I will lose about 20 and gain it all back. I have done this at least six times. I always believed that when I really tried, I would do it. Well, I have been really trying for the past two years to no avail. I keep sabotaging myself. My self-esteem has really taken a hit about this.

I am compassionate, curious, and creative.

I am a 20-year-old student from New York City. I'm majoring in psychology and currently working at a bakery (I hope to open my own one day).

My name is Suzie I have 5 children and live in Kansas. I've been married for 14 years. I love to cook and be with my family. I am a full time eBay seller since 1998.

44, 5'3". healthy lifestyle, but combo of bad genes, slow metabolism (really!) and not knowing what is best strategy for losing weight holds me back. (high carb, lowfat is what worked for me in 20's, but after 30, i started packing on the pounds, cannot lose). i am getting on a plane in 2 1/2 months to see an old boyfriend after 20 years. we still feel a spark. i want to at least fit into a size 12!

I am 48 in 9 days. I'm a keepin it real kinda gal. I have had to watch my weight all my life, my enitre family is really really overweight, and i have 9 Aunts and Uncles. BUT when i got married 15 y/a i stopped watching it and 130lbs later here i am.

I am 57 years old and work a midnight shift. I am married and have two grown children who live in the South West. I really hope to lose my excess weight before my daughter's wedding at the end of May 2010.

I am 37 years old. I am married and I have 4 (almost grown )children. I have a darling 2-year old granddaughter as well. Needless to say I am very family oriented.

I have three children and am 30 years old. I have always been known for my "high metabolism" and "hyperactivity" but the past few years all of my unhealthy eating has caught up with me and my matabolism is slowing down! I changed careers from daycare (chasing kids all day) to making jewelry (sitting a lot more) now I see a differance in my stomach...which now is mostly fat...and I now have love handles! I am not overweight, but do not want it to get to that point! I am just not happy with what I look like in the mirror! I have changed soooo much in the last three years and I am ready to get the old me back!!!!!!

I am a 19 year old college student. Since fifth grade I have struggled with drastic weight gain. I have never considered myself to be obese, but when I stepped on the scale and saw 231.3 I knew something needed to change. I am committed to this change and will become healthy.

I'm 22 and I work retail... selling diamonds. I love to sing but it's kinda hard when you know people are judging you on your weight or appearance and not your voice. I am very involved in the music and theatre arts community but music is my passion. I love to write and I am currently learning to play guitar. I have an amazing boyfriend (who has an amazing metabolism:))

I'm not good at talking about myself so hear goes. My name is Kayla. I have a 6 year old son and have been with his dad almost 8 years. I've tried dieting before and never stuck with it. Now that I'm very obese I think it's time that I do something about it before i end up having a heart attack or getting diabetes.

I am full-time doctoral student who also works full-time. I enjoy going to the beach, reading motivational books, jazz and opera music.

i'm married with one daughter,i was 54 killo before i have my baby, and start to loss weight after ,i did excercise for 3 months and change my lifestyle habits ,i reach 48 killos, now i'm 52 and i need to get back my body

I am a wife and mother of one. Most people tell me I am a fun, caring and loving person with a silly personality to be around. Although I haven’t been much of my self lately. I am a 24 year with a crazy work schedule due the fact that my husband is in school. My day consist of waking up at 4:45am to got to work (at my second job) and getting off at 8:15am Monday through Friday. I take naps since this is when I get most of my sleep. Later I go to my primary job from 2:30pm to about 11pm (sometimes later) I used to be more of an outing person but with the weight gain and crazy schedule I have not been able to do much of anything, nor do I have the energy

I work at a magazine here in New Jersey. Live alone, 55, mother of a 24-year-old. Still have lots of unfinished business and a lengthy "bucket list." I keep saying I'll do the things I want (travel, date, dance, sing) when I get in shape. So maybe the weight is a shield to keep me from all the things I want and feel I shouldn't have.

I am 29, with one daughter and a husband. My highest weight was 198 when I was pregnant with DD. My lowest was 128 in high school. Right now I am 172 lbs, which is awful. Before having my daughter I was 155, but very toned.

I am a mom, grandmother, wife, volunteer, secretary and a pretty good cook. I enjoy reading and helping the community. I have Multiple Sclerosis and continue to continue

I'm a 29 year old woman (scared of turning 30) who needs to lose the 22 lbs that I've put on in the past 4 years. I'm planning my wedding to my darling hubbie to be- and I want to look my best not only on the wedding day, but all the days leading up to it and all the days of our marriage thereafter.

30 something married with 2 kids 6 and 5. Full time job. Used to run atleast for 20 mins 2 - 3 times a week but it became hard to fit it in to daily schedule. When I was running there was no weightloss but lost a lot of inches. Did'nt notice it until I stopped running and the pants became tighter. So now the plan is to start walking at the lunch hour and do yoga in the morning. Hope this will work.

I'm a full-time working mom of 2.

I am a mother of two in my early thirties and I'm sick of how I look. I have a wonderful man who is supportive of me and loves me "the way I am" but he is fully aware that I've packed on the pounds over the last couple of years. However, he is right beside me no matter what I do. My mother is a memeber of PT and has finally convinced me to join. Although my mom and I live 2300 miles apart, to be able to hear about and see through pictures her success (she's lost 27 lbs since June!!) I am so proud of her accomplishments. She's less than 5 lbs to goal! I want to be there too. She and I have very similar body types and as the past has proven, what works for her, usually works for me too. If she can do it.....SO CAN I !

I am 20 years old and my husband and I are hoping to start a family soon. We've been married for a year and half now and I would LOVE to start a family. However, I want to get to my ideal weight and be in shape and eating healthy before we start trying.

I'm 39 y/o woman 5'8" and on 10/22/09 I weighed 188# fully clothed (eek! - BMI 28.1?). I got inspired by a you-can-do-anything! friend in mid-October and for the first time had the first real conviction to do something about weight that had gone up up up since March. I work from home on deadline-intensive projects which means sometimes I don't leave the computer for 12 hours at a stretch, and I push past the pain of those long hours with processed foods - Lucky Charms, Doritos, all the worst!

I'm 39 and just had my first baby 9 months ago. I work full time and don't get much sleep because she's not much of a sleeper still. I have never been so busy in all my life. I have very little time for me or committments and need extra help!
