Yesterday I didn't write any music, but otherwise I was super-productive. I caught up on ALL the little repeating tasks that I have been behind on for SO LONG. Thanks, Lift App! I also got 20,000 steps. Now I need to keep the momentum going while I get back to a couple more days of music writing...
I took time for reading yesterday, too. Besides the book I'm trying to finish, I signed up for the "Kindle Unlimited" deal where you can read a lot of books for "free" -- (well, $10 a month). Most of them are cheap little ebooks that sell for $3 or so, but I find that I often want to read or scan books like that, but I don't want to risk the $3 and then find out the books suck. So now I can scan to my heart's content.
The first book I read in the deal turned out to be good. It was called "Habits: the good, the bad, and the mini," or something like that. Nothing at all that I haven't heard before, but it was all good stuff, and just what I needed to be reminded of, because I'm doing that Lift App thingie, and there's a danger I will overdo, and take on too many new habits, and then fail miserably. The book warns about that.
I'm still waiting to hear about the job I interviewed for. I'm thinking about resigning from my community college job either way, because if I don't get this job, I'm sure I can find something. And I need steady employment.
My steps are WAY UP. Even though I've been inside the apartment mostly, the Fitbit challenges have been very motivating for me lately. I often just sort of jog in place while reading or listening to podcasts. Yesterday I got 20,000 steps, and I have raised my daily step goal to 12,000.
