Before:
Summer of 2008 - probably gained some over the winter.
After:
April 9, 2009 - Lots more to go!

My Goal:
To be 130 lbs and have muscles instead of rolls of sagging skin and fat

About me:
I am 43 years old, married for 2 years and have a 16 year old daughter. For most of my adult life I hovered around 130 lbs (I'm only 5'2" so I was never skinny). However when I hit menopause about 5 years ago I began to gain weight. I have been at 160 lbs for close to 3 years now. I tried to lose the weight 2 1/2 years ago but the menopause thing made progress non existant so I gave up. Things seem to have settled down & I have been working out with weights for 2 months now and am seeing progress with muscle tone and inches are coming off my butt and legs but no weight loss yet. I want to stay motivated and keep at this until I am a size 5/6 or at least a 7/8. I really am not that concerned with what I weigh, it's size that counts for me! UPDATE: Ok I lied. The number on the scale does mean something to me after all. As of April 8th I am now down to 154 lbs. I LOST 6 lbs since the end of January!

Diets I like:
None, I just try to eat healthy and try to avoid fatty foods.

Workout of choice:
I like working out with weights and want to incorporate some cardio into my life, I just don't know what I want to do. I might try to find a used bike and give bike riding a go. I have a stationery bike & I hate using it.

My plan:
To keep working out with weights and to add some cardio. To eat more fruits and veggies as they come into season and aren't quite so expensive.

I need the most help with:
Staying motivated to keep working out and to keep from eating chips and chocolate.

Additional Info:
I have decided that I am not going to wear any summer clothes (shorts or bathing suits) until I look decent in them. Enough is enough, I hate the way I look!
