My Goal:
is to help all of you get into better shape- improved flexibility, endurance and strength. Since we only meet one day a week, you can use this log to not only keep a food journal, but to keep track of your workouts when we don't meet. My hope is that I can help you create a workout plan for you and fellow classmates that you can either follow on your own, or find a partner or group to workout with.
Even though you have friday mornings to complete your log for the week, my hope is that you will log in often so you can share your experience for the day and help motivate your fellow students.


About me:
I have been in the fitness industry for 36 years and an adjunct faculty member of ACC for 23 years. I received my BFA in Dance from the University of Texas in 1985 and have several national certifications for Group Fitness, Personal Training, and Yoga. I am also CPR and First Aid Certified. I LIVE TO WORK OUT!!! I am also a HUGE animal lover and currently have 3 dogs, 5 cats, and an african water frog. Oh, and I love wine.


Diets I like:
The Metabolic Typing Diet. It is the only diet that respects us as individuals and is of the understanding that "one size does not fit all." It is a diet for life- it helps you discover what and how to eat according to your genetics and metabolism. The Paleo Diet is ok as well. If you can't follow a diet for life, then it isn't a diet.


Workout of choice:
Step Aerobics, Crosstraining, interval training, yoga


My plan:
To get most of my students to learn how to support each other in achieving their goals - AND to ACHIEVE THEM!
