My Goal:
To lose weight and exercise regularly without pain/injury. Honestly, I would like to have my best body ever and be ripped.


About me:
I'm an almost 46-year old wife and mom of an 11-year old and 13-year old. I'm a licensed professional counselor. I'm in leadership at my church. I started running in my 20s, including finishing 4 half-marathons in my 40s. I started lifting weights and doing strength training two or three years ago. I also enjoy hot yoga. Music is very important to me. Unfortunately, in my work I'm sitting a lot, which has really hurt my body. My work is very emotionally, mentally, and spiritually intensive. I am a passionate person and whatever I do I go all out, but I also love food and would describe myself as a "foodie." My husband and I love to cook and enjoy foods. He has lost 50 pounds by changing his lifestyle, diet, and hiring and working with a personal trainer. He is 3 years younger than I am and he looks amazing, so that's a motivator. We are an active family and I want to stay young and available to my kids for a long time.


Diets I like:
Ones that I can stick with and where I can eat things I like.


Workout of choice:
Weight lifting, running, and hot yoga.


My plan:
Eat the eats, limit the cheats. Exercise as I can without continuing to get hurt.


I need the most help with:
Limiting the cheats. Limit emotional and/or mindless, unnecessary eating. Exercise smart and not over-doing it and getting hurt.


Additional Info:
My chiropractor and massage therapist said my body isn't recovering after exercise and my muscles are staying in an activated state, leading to injury. This and my work schedule have led to sporadic exercise. I want to be able to exercise and not get hurt or have something screwed up afterwards every time.
