My Goal:
I'd like to lose 30 pounds, but more importantly eat healthier, feel better, build some muscle and endurance.


About me:
I'm in my forties, very happily married and have two great daughters. I love reading, jazz, coffee (!) and I'm still making peace with my new treadmill. After seven years of over the road truck driving, I'm fat, out of shape and tire far too easily. It stops today.


Diets I like:
I'm not on a 'diet'. I'm eating healthier: choosing the good calories over the bad. Nutrition over taste. I struggle to get down three 16 oz bottles of water a day. I'm still working on that.


Workout of choice:
Treadmill, walking, 10% incline. (knee injuries or I would run) TaiChi and QiGong newbie - but even the bit I've done makes me feel great.


My plan:
Restricted calorie diet - heavy on protein and veggies, 6 day a week exercise. Weekly weigh-ins. I track every calorie that goes in my mouth.


I need the most help with:
Sweating is for the birds!
