New York City Weight Loss Group
This is an online and in person weight loss group for people in New York City. You can do either or both. The idea is to provide a framework where group members feel supported, motivated and held accountable. Each day members log their food, workouts, goals and thoughts in an easy format. You can write down as much or as little as you like. The other people in the group can see your log and offer helpful advice and tips. The idea behind this format is that most people know the basics of losing weight- eat less, eat better and exercise more. The problem is that most people have a hard time following through! Daily logging keeps you accountable to yourself, and the group members keep you motivated and supported. Most importantly, this process helps you lose weight if you develop it as a daily habit. If you wish to meet others locally, there is a "community" section in the online group that you will be joining. Simply click on the community tab and you will see a "New York City Meetup" thread that has location and times. These meetings are generally free, although some members attend Weight Watchers meetings each week in addition to the daily logging and interaction on the site and meet there.

Click on this and introduce yourself. You can say as much or as little as you want. You can just say hi.
