The Truth behing BMR?

Hi guys, I've been going out of my mind trying to figure out how my BMR can help me with my weight loss plan, and what is in the first place. I've tried about 10 difference websites, each one calculates a different BMR for me ranging from 1200 to 2000! i burn 400-500 cals daily with my excercise routine and i eat about 1300 cals a day, am i creating a big enough deficit going by both figures of the BMR to lose weight?
HELP please!
