One slice of domino's pizza is a serving
While a big slice from a real pizzeria is actually two slices. Pizza is supposed to be an appetizer, not an entree.
I can eat a whole pizza by myself, but a cup of oatmeal stuffs me. I don't know why.

one slice of pizza
unfortunately, that's a serving. I could eat 9 more slices.

I don't eat pizza often but am more than satisfied with 3 pieces. I try to make sure it's thin crust too.

The serving size of pizza really depends on where you get it and how big their pieces are. 1/8 of a 12" pizza is a basic serving size. Sadly I can eat about 3 slices (of course depending on whats on it) I like thin crust the best but usually eat the toppings off.

HFCS=bad
the tomato sauce in most pizza is loaded with High Fructose Corn Syrup which has been known to trick your brain into thinking you aren't full. Thats why you can eat outrages portions of junk food but healthy food is more filling

When I eat pizza, I make sure one of two things - either it's a very special occasion and really worth it, or that I only eat a small slice and, like, a huge salad on the side. I live in Chicago, so one slice of deep dish is enough! (Though I could eat two, b/c it tastes sooo good, but then I'd be stuffed) So that's a special treat - like, when guests are visiting who can't usually get the good stuff! The good thing about Chicago pizza, which isn't the case for NY pizza, is that it takes them about 45 minutes to cook one once you get to the restaurant - you can't just pop in for a slice!
Also, I always blot the grease off the top. I'm not sure how much that does, but, even if it's only a little bit, that's still a little bit less to burn off later! Anyone know how much that actually helps??

I usually eat a salad with pizza so that at least I know I'm getting some water rich food to wash down the fat. It works well and I am really full enough that I can prevent indulging.

I'm going to eat a salad too! I like that suggestion very much....I find myself eating 3 peices of pizza, especially when i'm in front of the TV. But I wonder if I'll eat the salad and 3 pieces! LOL.

I do a variation on the water thing - I can't choke down a glass of a cold liquid when I'm hungry, but a cup of hot tea has the same effect and makes my tummy feel warm and satisfied. I've started doing this before lunch (my worst meal). Then I can go make sensible choices instead of ones made under the the influence of my empty, and very insistent, stomach!

I do this at lunch too - I usually bring Lean Cuisines to work, and the microwave is right next to the water cooler. I pop my meal in the microwave, and then I force myself to constantly drink water until the meal is hot - usually two cups! I want to try this cooking dinner, but when I pour a glass and am busy doing stuff for several minutes, it always just sits there...
