measurements-suck in or let it all hang out?
curious-do you ladies and gents suck in your bellies when taking your measurements or let it all relax? which is your accurate measurement??

I make sure and go to the bathroom first and stand up perfectly straight, but you have to just "let it all hang out." A false mesurement would just cheat myself.

Agree with the above.
The next time, if you've stuck with your plan well, though you 'let it hang out', you would measure lesser.
My team member has this great link which she posted as a guide. Hope this helps

I measure both ways and mark them both down. Sure, letting it all hang out is more "accurate" but I like the mental boost I get from seeing the much smaller "sucked in" number!

I dont think it matters as long as you are consistent.

Hm, this thread has me wondering what kind of difference there would be between the two measurements. I'll have to play with that when I get my hands on a tape measure.

I also take measurements both ways and mark it that way. I feel like most of the time I go around with my stomach sucked in anyway so this is my "normal" look. But on the flip side, the more you lose the smaller your "natural, letting it all hang out" girth should be!

and if you tone yourself well you should see the "hang out" and the "suck in" measurements getting closer together.

I read that you shouldn't suck in or push out, just relax.

A little of both but consistency is key. If you're using this to see your progress, I would venture to guess you could manipulate things if you suck in one day and relax the next.

This is a funny thread. I don't suck it in but I often think it would be much better if I did! Whatever makes you feel better.
