Mean Page 2

Continuation on the first awesomely bad (yet rewarding) Mean page:

Ugh, I cant stand job searches. Beyond the feeling of generally being lost in the search- the actual interviewing process and the whole approval disapproval is totally ridiculous and for some reason has the power to shred me to my core and make me feel like I am unworthy of a crappy job, I dont want but need, to which I would be eternally greatful for letting me show up and get a paycheck in the confines of its horrible brown cubicle walls. Whats with cubicles anyway?

good, now I dont feel hungry!

I know what you mean

I am trying to find an internship and it seems like just as I am getting to an employer they just filled the spot. I get so depressed. How are you supposed to get experience when no one wants to help?

I don't know if this is an option, for the internship seeker, but, when I needed an internship a few years ago, no one would give me one b/c I didn't have any experience! How are you supposed to get experience when no one will hire you? So I started calling and writing to companies, asking for unpaid internships, in a field where internships are traditionally paid. I got a couple bites from companies that normally wouldn't hire anyone b/c of budget, but who had extra work! I managed to do that b/c I could get college credit for unpaid internships, but not paid; getting the extra credits allowed me to be part-time my last semester, which saved a bunch of money, so in the end, it was like getting paid! I was lucky though, because I didn't need the money immediately. And, in the end, after I did the internship for one semester, I couldn't get any more credits, but they still wanted me to help out, so they found room in their budget to pay me to continue working there! After I had that experience, it was easy to find more, paid, internships in my field!
