Anxious and feeling like I'm running out of time.
Do you ever feel that way? I went on vacation and vowed to eat really well and use the hotel fitness center every day, but I was there for work and they fed us sit down breakfast lunch and dinners at the conference. I ended up eating way too much ( we were inside from 7am-7pm with trays of muffins argh) and once I got home I just needed to sleep! then I returned from my trip and renewed my gym membership, bought some snazzy workout clothes and got ready to start fresh! and now I have the flu!!! its gorgeous out and I'm bed ridden. ugh. I feel like summer is just around the corner, and I know its never too late to get back in shape, but Its hard not to get anxious about it when I have hours to lay in bed with a sinus headache and just generally feel achey, bloated and sweaty. How do you silence the voice that tells you your not getting anywhere and you arent gonna? I've lost 40 pounds all together and gained about 8 back. 8 is such an attainable goal, and I've done it before but I just get so scared Its gonna all creep back on!

You sound just like me! I lost almost 40 and gained back 8.5, and when I joined my new gym last week I got the flu the next day. It's just weird the way it works out. But here's what I realized- summer is going to be here in about 2 months, but that's only June. Real beach weather starts after July 4th, so I think we have a solid 3 months to implement our plans. :) Don't let the muffins get you down. I hope you feel better- let's get our butts to the gym!

Its really strange...I get sick when I'm about to, or have just started any new challenge/weight loss adventure. And when you're sick, you feel FAT. But you still have time before summer. At least you don't have a cruise in 3 weeks!! agh!! I've really got to kick my own butt to lose these 10 lbs.

I'm in exactly the same boat - lost 50 (which put me back at normal BMI), but have regained 10 (i.e. overweight again) in the last 4 weeks or so. I'm so scared that I'm on the path back to obesity. But I have so much stress in my life right now, and so little time (working every hour that I am awake), that fitting in exercise is not an option. And the discipline of dieting does not appeal.
It was ok to take a break from weightloss when I was maintaining. But now that the weight is creeping back, I'm actually worried and confused as to what to do.
Anyway, you are not alone! I'd say, if you have the time, maybe get some exercise in (even just long walks in the good weather): that naturally helps regulate cravings and prioritize healthiness. I wish there was a way I could find time for it right now...
