||I am a 32 year old mom of two. I have been obese most of my adult life. I have tried everything, ATKINS, South Beach, Cabbage Soup, you name it and I've tried it. I may have had a meager loss of 30 lbs or so total...(I say meager because I still have to lose another 100 before I would be considered near my "ideal" goal! I am 5'6" and as of this morning weigh 250 lbs!) Having tried everything, I have come to realize that the only thing that would work is controlling my portions and eating a healthy diet full of veggies, fruits, whole grains and lean proteins aka fish, chicken, beans etc. I also need to up my exercising...I was working out 3 X a week doing 2 mile walks and strength training 3 X a week for 30 minutes. In the end I got fed up and gave up. I really want to lose this extra weight because I have so many health problems because of it. I want to live long enough to see my kids grow up and at the rate I am going, I don't see it happening. I have hypothyroid disorder, hypertension and high cholestrol. I come from a family of heart disease, cancer and I am very afraid. I really need to lose this excess weight and I am hoping to find some help and support here.
