My Goal:


Need to lose 10 lbs that I put on over the past rough year and a half. Lots of stress and now I'm in a job I don't really like, seeking to change but at least I have health insurance. I'm in 5'3" close to goal gals, Rockin Bod, Over Fifty, Christian 50+ glas, & was in Christian Women Unite! Recently joined Progress no Perfection, the most accountable and active team I've seen.

One goal is to increase raw foods to 80% of diet, currently it's probably closer to 60. Also do some kind of exercise every day, even if it's just a walk.

Progress not Perfection group:
Core Rules for Week 1 (ending July 20):
No processed sugar
No gluten
At least walk daily
Workout routine 2x

Core Rules for Week 2 (ending July 27):
Above plus
No snacking after dinner
Workout routine 3x


About me:
I'm 51 and my body is a bit ravaged from injuries, but I still get out. I currently hold the title of "Riverboarding World Champion in Freestyle Surfing" for what it's worth. I want to be thinner to be more attractive and lighter/meaner in sports. Energy is better thanks to my naturopath and the corrected thyroid dosage.


Diets I like:
Currently trying the Harcombe method. Her book is called "Why do I overeat if all I want is to be slim". I eat a lot of animal fat and protein and veggies, a bit of fruit. Mostly one of cutting out sugar, coffee (caffeinated), all grains incl. wheat, corn, rice, etc., all starch and most fruits. I have already been off dairy for a few years. I got inspired by a book called "The 7 Principles of Fat Burning." Highly recommend.


Workout of choice:
Riverboarding in 42 degree water, mountain biking, road biking, body boarding, snowboarding, walking


My plan:
For 2013: at the minimum, walk 1 mile a day, stop eating after 7:30 pm, stop eating artificially sweetened food, eat more raw foods. Follow Core Rules in LFG community challenge.


I need the most help with:
Eating after dinner. FREE FOOD that's unhealthy. Not wanting food to "go to waste".


Additional Info:
It's amazing to lose weight and feel light, so much easier to climb hills, nice to fit into clothing / bathing suit that looks good.
