Hi, I'm Sarah! I have two kids, ages 10 & 13. I'm ready to focus on making myself smaller! I've lost, gained, lost, gained over the past ten years, and am working towards total consistency - even on "bad" days!!


I am 65 and retired (altho I still teach 3 mornings/week). I was vegetarian for 12 or so years before going vegan 2 1/2 years ago. I have read just about every book out there on plant-based eating (see below) and they were all motivational for me, well, maybe except for "Veganist" by Kathy Freston. Didn't agree with that one. My first book was China Study and then I mowed through all the others. Just can't read enough about it. It keeps be motivated to go the "whole foods" route.


Newly vegan since January... I feel so much better. I am trying to lose 100lbs. I am hoping to make the most of all this sunny weather and do some bike rides and hikes with my dog.
