I'm male, 42, married with 2 children. I am one of the founders of PEERtrainer.

42, married, with two kids. This has been a stressful year, and I have put on weight again. PEERTrainer cleanse has worked well for me in the past. I'm looking forward to getting back on track!!

I'm 40 something (closer to 50), my son is leaving for college this fall, I'm 90 lbs over goal weight and I figure it is time for me. Stress is a big factor, I tend to eat my way through it, and it's been a big part of life lately.

Mama Jama

I'm 40, married, have two kids (age 10 and 8), I enjoy the outdoors (camping, hiking, cycling, snowboarding, etc) and snuzzling with my hubby.

54 married no kids, gaining weight, not liking it.

I am following a habit building process developed by Charles Duhigg in his book titled "The Power of Habit". You can read about this process and my progress log on the Progress, Not Perfection community tab.

I am a 40 year old stay-at-home mom with two boys, 7 and 5 years old. I have been increasing in clothing size at least 1x per year since I weaned my youngest son. I try to eat healthy but haven't paid a lot of attention to portions or calories. I allow myself regular sugar indulgences and drink a Coke a day to help me get through the day without a nap. I've been struggling with intense fatigue for about 4 years. I've tried to exercise but obviously not enough to lose weight. I recently created a stress fracture in my right ankle while trying to train for a 10k run. Now I'm in a cast and my exercise options are limited. My clothes are telling me that it's time to go up another size but I really don't want to. It's time to deal with this problem!

I am 44. I have a weakness for sugar. I start things and am dead on, then get bored easily. I have three boys 11,14,19 and I have been married for 25 years. I am a happy Christian woman who loves to make other people happy and feel good about themselves. Now is my time to feel good about me. I am an interior painter, self employed, so I stay very busy. I love to cook, but working full time creates a challenge .

I am a 40 year-old mother of 3 young children. I love to exercise and run/do Pilates/lift weights 5-6 days a week and have for many years. Food is a problem for me and I go through cycles of deprivation and over-indulgence, with the net result being 20 pounds over my ideal weight.

70+ single woman

I recently graduated 2 daughters with jobs and I have one h.s. senior. I'm in a place to redefine my future. I want a healthy weight to be part of it. I'm also going back to school in the fall for my doctorate.

I have struggled with weight since my 20's and am now 53. I've lost 80-100 lbs. six times in my life and have to do something different. What's the definition of insanity???

I am 59 years old and work full time. I have a husband and two kids. My oldest just finished his freshman year in college and is home for the summer.

I am 43 years old and am extremely busy person. I have always been somewhat overweight and part of that is just from genetics and my build. Reaching my late 30's and early 40's has really changed my ability to lose weight. I have never had a "belly" just butt & hips! But that 40 thing has started and I struggle constantly. I lost about 25 pounds last fall due to nothing but stress and it is all coming back now. I co-own a restaurant and bar, given up my 20 year career as a transporation industry executive and have gone back to school full time for nursing. I have two children; a 19 yr old daughter in college and a 17 year old son.

54 y.o. woman; weight struggles most of life, but lost 100 lbs in high school, so used to be confident I can do it again, now I'm not so sure but must try. Sedentary job, but job permits going to gym, so recently found out about a couple of nearby gyms that are not heavily used.

I am a 40 year old yoga teacher, wife, and mom. I injured my back in October of last year and since then have gained ~10 pounds or so in a whirlwind of a binge eating and drinking pity party. That party is now over and I am back to the healthy lifestyle that my body and mind prefer.

44 yr old wife and mother. closet full of clothes and nothing fits. I want to lose this weight to feel better about myself and feeling healthier.

50 yr old. single, no children at home. Work a 9-5 and a part time teaching job. Looking to increase my activity and create better eating habits. Hate dieting and not a gym rat. So this plan hopefully will work for me. It sounds like fun.

I am 36 yrs old. I have been married 10 years this past July. I have 2 children from my first marriage, and 4 with my husband, for a total of 6 children. I have been overweight my entire adult life. I have also struggled with depression since I was a teen. My depression highs coinside with my weight gain, and I do alot of emotional eating. My top weight was about 245. A few years ago my mom introduced me to a way of eating called Natural Hygiene. The book I read that introduced me to this is called Fit For Life by Harvey & Marilyn Diamond. I have always been a large eater. My family use to call me hollow leg because about 20-30 minutes after eating a meal I would want to eat again, which I now contribute to the low nutrient foods I must have been eating. Whenever I've done this diet I have gotten down to around 170. I will go all the way this time, and really will make this my lifestyle. Right before I got pregnant with my last daughter I ate vegan for 1 month and then raw vegan for 2 months. I really enjoy it, but my husband and children don't really join me in eating this way. So there are still temptations all around me.

Female, 47 married no kids but 2 big dogs. I play soccer in the summer, but don't have a winter sport. I started PT Nov 22 2008 @ 155 lb, got to 140 using PT and BFL (Body for Life) but hurt my foot and was in a walking cast for 3 months and it all ended and now unfortunately I'm up past my old high to 163 lb. I want to really get to 130 or lower and stay there.

I am single working person with 3 grown daughter-no grandchildren yet. I work as an Advanced Practice Nurse and also have a Ph.D. in Religion and Psychology. I have 50 pounds to lose. I am 61 years old and just started having a weight problem about 10 years ago when I went through a divorce and also aging is an issue. I find it harder to lose the older I get. I do believe it's possible. Right now I rate the possiblity of losing weight permanently a 7 out of 10 but I am working on raising that.

I'm 32, married, and have 3 kids 5 and under. I work full time.
