I'm a 31 year old single professional. I was always very skinny when I was younger and could eat anything I wanted. When my metabolism gave out at age 25, I didn't change my habits and gained 30 pounds. I've said that I would lose it for years and never seem to even make progress.

I have struggled with weight most of my life. At my highest weight, I was 260 pounds. I had a modified version of standard weight loss surgery. The modification is that the surgery only changed my stomach size and nothing to do with my digestive track. I have lost a great deal of weight, but I am still not at goal and won't get there without addressing food and fitness.

I am a former gymnast. After high school I put on about 40 pounds. Now I will be going into my third year of college and would like to get back into shape. I'd like to become a backpacking guide in different parts of the world... so I have to be able to hike!! I've struggled with eating disorders in the past so I've just been trying to focus on health.

Invovled in competitive sport since childhood. Have lost interest in last few years. Gained 35 lbs over last 3 years. Don't see a real difference in the mirror. Maybe something to do with my metabolism and getting old or maybe psychological...

I work in marketing and live in Vancouver, BC. I have an office job and sit on my butt all day, which does nothing to help my weight loss attempts. I am 31, 5'4 and 150 pounds. My goal weight is around 125. I was at this weight a couple of years ago after really watching my diet and having a program designed by a personal trainer. The changes were amazing and I felt great. But I have become lazy and can never seem to get the energy to go to the gym. I get bored very easily with workouts, so have to really mix things up alot to keep motivated.

Transplant from NY to London and stumbled on Low GI Vegetarian book. Eager to test it out. I eat relatively (in my head) healthy, but my meal portions and frequency of sweets are getting out of control!

I am 34 years old and single. I live in a small city north of Pittsburgh and am a high school principal. Over the past five years, I have lost a little over thirty pounds (with roughly five-ten of them coming on and off again). I have a tiny frame and would like to eventually weigh in the 120's.

I am 25 years old and I've been out of school for almost 3 years and have gained 10 lbs. each year! I don't intend to continue this route! :)

I'm a recent music education college graduate with some free time on my hands. I decided to start working out and fixing the things I didn't like since I've got some free time while job hunting. I love music, hockey, skiing, gaming, anime, art, and of course, my wonderful husband and friends. Want to know more? just ask :D

I am 27, married and work as a graphic designer. I love the outdoors, hiking, watersports, laying out at the pool, shopping, and finding great new modern things for the home. I love cooking and have really focused on raw produce the last few weeks and finding new recipes.

I lost 90 pound over two years, didn't get the last ten off though; now Ive gained 15-20 pounds back and would like to lose those plus the extra ten I never lost. I am recently married, also recently moved to Old Town Alexandria from Austin, Tx. I work in Tysons Corner.

I am currently in Nursing school, First semester. I have a beautiful 6 year old boy and a great husband. I should be graduating in may of 2008. I am 23 years old. I also am 23 weeks pregnat due on dec. 16,2006.

I work full-time. Personal train part-time and teach fitness classes part time. i have an ice cream and pizza addiction. I actually haven't had ice cream in over a week so that is great for me. I only have to lose about 10-15(15 being goal). I am an emotional eater and have a tendency to over eat cereal

I'm 36, single and recently self-employed. I lost nearly 25 lbs 2.5 years ago and am holding steady at 20 lbs. Unless you count the 10 lbs I lost and then gained back last fall after a particulary MISERABLE break-up. I'd like to trim off that last 20. I am on the go quite a bit and find it difficult to plan as well as I should. I am also beginning to lose sight of how to properly guage portion contol. I'm not a snacker, never have been, but boy oh boy do I like a good meal! And let's face it, cooking for one is a pain and a drag...so I try to make one or 2 decent meals that allow for left overs for a couple of days.

I just received my BM in music performance (with honors!). I'm continuing my schooling so that I can become a Physicaian's Assistant. I have a lot of anxiety about the competition to get into the masters programs, and about the student loans that I'm taking out. I've always been an emotional eater, so I have to learn how to control this as I enter a health profession. I don't want to ruin my personal health in pursuit of improving the health of others!

I joined Weight Watchers last October, lost 15 lbs over 9 months and gained back 10 lbs due to emotional eating! Don't you just hate how those emotions creep up on you? I am looking for a great group that understands this plan, especially Core, and I would love to exchange support, ideas, and motivation.

Well....I was diagnosed with lactose intolerance about a year ago and it kick started my weight loss regime. Just cutting out Ice Cream seemed to melt the pounds off. I decided to make exercise a priority and without really dieting I lost 65 pounds. This made me very happy but I can see that without really paying attention to my eating habits I am doomed to carry that extra 20 pounds with me the rest of my life. And of course we all know that those lost pounds can find us in an instant when we pretend that we do not need to watch what we eat. My motivation for joining this site and this group is to make myself aware and accountable. The stories I have read so far are inspiring and although this is probably the honeymoon stage of the "new diet" I think it may work in the long run if I catelogue my food intake in cyberspace for all to see.

I am 23 yrs old, 5'4, 142lb. I am an advertising executive. In the past month, I've lost 5lb from working out on average 5 days/week without changing my eating habits. As a foodie, I find it really difficult to sacrifice good eats to lose weight. My unpredictable and often hectic work schedule often inhibits me to prepare my own meals (thus relying on whatever is around my office) and keep a regular exercise schedule.

I'm 5'6" and weigh 143 currently. I'm a fulltime Nursing student at a community college in NJ. I'm interested in health and wellness, and like all other members here, I would like to have a lower BMI and then proceed to maintain that. I'm 19 years old and played lacrosse all 4 years of high school and would love to get involved in another club sport soon and take advantage of my college's pool/gym.

Just graduated, moved to NYC.

I am a 32 year old mother of 1. I like to paint, dance, read and listen to music. I work in finance so I am pretty sedentary during the day but I love to be active.

I'm 15, and have been overweight my whole life, so i'm trying to lose 30 pounds, and keep it there.

I'm 25, finishing law school, and tired of being enough over my goal weight to feel uncomfortable in my body and clothes. I need to heighten my awareness of what I'm eating and the effects of the food choices I make. Help!

Mid 20's, lawyer, grew up in LA but just recently moved back after a long break

I'm 32 and a SAHM of 3 great kids, 2 boys and a girl. I've tried everything to lose the weight, but my motivation aways lags after a few days, and then it's back to the old bad habits. I really enjoy cooking, and baking...which is part of my problem. I'm hoping with the help of this site, I can get on track and stay there once and for all!

I am 28, and love to run long distance. I ran one marathon, on Dec 10 in Las Vegas and have plans to run many more. As far as weight loss goes, I could lose about five pounds.

I am a stay at home mom of 2 beautiful girls...ages 3 and 2. I have a wonderful, supportive hubby who is also trying to loose the "pregnancy" weight. He was a supportive eater!! I have had type I diabetes for 6 years and have recently been diagnosed with Hasimotos Thyroid Disease.

I'm 22 yrs old, live in the Bay Area, vegetarian. I just graduated college this past May and started working this August. I'm pretty healthy overall but can see myself falling into some unhealthy habits/traps after starting work as a result of being busy/making excuses. i'm hoping the accountability part of this thing helps me to get back on track & stick w/ it.

Junior in college, about 150 lbs, 5'6.

I am 27 years old and have recently gone through many changes, including new job, new career, and new place of residence I have gained 5-10 pounds in recent months. I am currently 136 pounds and would like to weigh between 120 and 125.

A tired mother who needs to find time to exercise and take care of herself.

about 5'6'' 150 pounds, trying to lose those extra 30 before summer '07!

I'm a 33 yr old Kindergarten teacher who lost 50 pounds by exercising and keeping a food journal. After a difficult few months I am having a hard time with food again. I am looking to lose the last 10-15 pounds.

I am a 21 year old female. I have a huge family and plenty of friends. They love me and tell me I'm beautiful, but I don't like what I see in the mirror. I hate putting my clothes and feeling fat. I want to change and be healthier. The doctor has told me I am overweight and I need to change something before I let it get too far. I don't care about being skinny, I just want to be healthy and confident. I'd also like not to be the chubby friend....I already stand out cuz I'm loud and I say what I think when I think it...I'd prefer to not also the chubby girl standing next to my gorgeous best friend! :)

I'm a 22 year old college student in Oregon, finishing up school and getting ready for the CPA exam to become a public accountant. I'm looking to start losing the weight that has trickled back slowly but surely over the last year. or so. I started my diet/workout plan at 170 pounds, and 38% body fat, wearing size 10s (and straining the buttons!!). I dropped down to 128 pounds, but have put on 20+ pounds.

I just turned 41. I have a 9 1/2 yr old son. I will be starting school in January. I have been a stay at home mom for 10 years. I am seperated and will be divorced soon. That should be all the diet I need. I want to return to my pre-child weight which is 125lbs.

My mum's an emotional eater and she's been on diets forever. She loses a lot everytime she diets and then puts every single pound back. I went on a diet as a teenager and it didn't go too good, I got heavier. Then I tried another one and the same happened, after a little loss a big gain... and that for 2 years. I didn't want to have the same problems as my mum so when I got to college (in England) I decided to change my habits. I have lost 22 lb in two years without diets, making small changes that I will keep for life, and I want to stay like this forever. I'm 128lbs now

I'm 37, have a busy career and my weight has slowly crept up over the last few years. I feel great when I am exercising, so need to get back into it. It'll help manage stress and just make everything better.

Hey, I'm 17 years old. I am 5'6 and curretnly weigh in at 143 pounds. A year ago i weighed 163.although I have almost never been happy with the way I look. My friends tell me I look fine but I don't feel the same so loosing the weight will hopefully bring up my self esteem. especially since colllege and the freshman 15 are just around the corner

I'm 5'3" and fluctuate between 120 and 135. I'm currently 131 and I don't love it. Because I have pretty healthy habits, it seems to take FOREVER to lose any weight.

I am a grad student. I have recently given up meat. I am a noob knitter. I just made myself a hoop and am having fun learning how to work it and practicing tricks.

I am 26 years old, a student and an administrative professional.

I'm 32 and a full time student. I planned this return to school for my Master's. I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to pursue a new career, and am still getting used to the crazy transition.

i just graduated college- the past few years have been stressfull with school-I had gained 10 lbs. I'm a BIG emotional eater. Its like...if I have a bad day..."welll than i deserve a piece of cake...OR I deserve a wendy's value meal." It's definately time for my to take care of myself. and make myself happy. AND i am going to be getting married in July!

46 yr old mother of 13 yr old twins. Just found out I'm pre diabetic. I have PT job that keeps me active but need to add more physical fitness to my plan

I am a 30yr old woman. I got married in August '06, and lost about 10lbs before the wedding. Since then I started a new job and gained about 17 lbs. I have a job that I sit around all day but still is draining. I have a hard time finding the energy to go to the gym after work.

I am a 36-year old mother of 2 - they are in school all day & I don't work so there is NO excuse for me to go to the gym. We belong to the local YMCA(brand new 2006) My husband who is 7 years younger works out everynight, I think I am just flat out lazy about working out. I find every excuse not to. "It's too cold out" "I'll be 15 minutes late to that class, so I just won't go" "I'll run on the treadmill at home(then I never do" "15 minutes walking is better than nothing so I just won't run today even though I have nowhere else to be"

Here's my story... I'm 35 yrs old. I have a 9 yr old daughter (still have 15 lbs of baby weight from that pregnancy) and a 5 year old son (still have 15 lbs of baby weight from that pregnancy). I want to get back to the me that made me happy. I want to look in the mirror and WOW myself! I have a desk job but the girls and I started a "Biggest Loser" challenge just this morning... I'm hoping between this challenge and this website, I'll get all the motivation I need!

I'm 5'3 1/2". I live in South Florida. I would like to lose weight to help me regain my confidence.

I'm a 26 year old mom of 2 girls (5 - 1.5). I stay at home with them and work part time as a software developer from home. I love to work out but have trouble fitting it in. I need accountability! I teach aerobics 3 times a week, but have discovered that I don't actually feel like I'm working out during that time - I don't push myself enough when I'm teaching.

I'm 23, work as an admin in a university, and in general enjoy kicking ass and taking names. I love dancing, am a devoted gym rat, and a huge reader and incurable TV watcher. It seems the two are not often mutually exclusive. I've been heavy all my life, but have made a turn around in the last year and a half, and would like to keep that going.

Every year I plan to lose my excess stomach chub for the summer and it NEVER happens. I go through phases of consistent exercise and eating right but give up easily when i don't see immediate results. I really want to buckle down, focus, look great, and be bathing suit confident this summer!

I'm training for the Chicago Police Department test and need to get back in shape so I can pass!

I'm a 23 and I teach english in South Korea. I'm a very social person and love to be active. But I live by myself so that makes dieting hard when friends live farther away or have other plans. I also find it hard at times to find healthy foods prepared the way I was used to before coming to korea.

25 year old who just finished grad school, started a new job and a new life.

I'm 35, 5'3", 145 lbs. I started struggling with my weight after my first daughter was born and gave up trying to lose weight after my second daughter was born. I need to see results. I lost 8 lbs in 4 weeks, but then stopped losing weight. Of course I stopped all the good things I was doing and went back to old habits of not working out, eating junk food etc. This time I want to stay motivated, lose the weight and keep it off!

23, fit

"Your body is not a trash can!" I'm 25 and grew up doing ballet. I work in the District and dance about once or twice a week (West Coast Swing, Hustle and a few other ballroom styles). I also take a water aerobics class and recently joined a synchronized swimming club. Who knew it would be so challenging AND fun??

I am a 24 year old Married mom of 1 precious little girl. Been married almost 2 years.

44 with 5 kids. Current weight 151.

I am a 36 year old working mother of 2.......3 and 15 years old. I joined Weight Watchers in March and I have lost 17 lbs and want to lose at least another 30 lbs to get down to 120 lbs.

26 year old single college student with full-time job in chicago! I love eating out but that's what gets me off my diet!

I'm a 25 year old who just got out of graduate school. I'm about to start a full time job in a new city and am very excited about it. I love to play tennis and go for walks but am worried when I move I won't have a friendship and support system to help keep me moving

I am a 23-year-old teacher at a school in Brooklyn. I teach 4th grade gen ed. I love my kids, but they drive me crazy. I have lost 20 lbs since last September. I track all of my food using Tap&Track on my phone, but unfortunately this program has no accountability. No one tells me if I am eating like crap or if I am beginning to slip. I have decided to start using PEERtrainer again because I miss the community.

I am a married, SAHM of a 5 year old child. Most of my friends would say I am thin, but I have gained 22 pounds since spring 2002. I'm only 5'5" tall and have a very small bone structure in addition to being short-waisted. I don't have much room for extra weight. During the winter I was not exercising much, but holding fairly steady on my weight. Since January of 2007 I have gained at least 10 pounds and I'm so frustrated. I stepped up to regular walking and some running in mid-April but I haven't lost a pound. I've recently had several high blood pressure readings and I don't want to go on medication for it.

I'm 31 yrs old, 5'5" and my starting weight is 157lbs. I married 7 years and have a 4 yr old son who's full of energy.

i'm 29 years old and have been a fattie since the 4th grade. i am a very experienced but unsuccessful dieter and have been gaining and losing the same 50-60lbs for the past 15 years. at my highest, i was 220. my lowest was 141 (which lasted oh around 2 seconds). i am ready for something different. i am ready for the struggle to end!

I am a 20 year old female college student trying to lose 20-25 pounds before returning to school

I wish not to purchase any new wardrobe until i get back into a size 14/16 in in a 18 now. So I'm looking forward for assistance from any1 with a few good advice on losing the wight fast.

I'm a 28 yr old mother of a 4 yr boy. He is so much energy I have none. I have a great boyfriend and life is pretty good. I'm not obese but I'm not where i would like to be so here i am.

38 years old and mother of 7 year old and a one year old. Had a hysterectomy and now on hormone replacement. Really hard to lose ....

I'm a 39 year-old, married mother of 2 boys, 14 & 7. I'm turning 40 this year and will fight to reach my goal weight on or before my birthday. I am also training to finish a half-marathon in December here in Singapore.

I am a 27 y/o (recently) single female that is 5'5" and 168lbs. I work full-time and attend law school @ night which leaves me very little time for exercise or meal preparation, and makes it way too easy to stop @ a fast food restaurant on the way to school. The stress also causes me to make bad food choices and the studying keeps me from getting a substantial amount of sleep/rest!

I'm a college student, I'm 22 and 5'4 gained 25lbs since I've moved out with my boyfriend. With in the last year I've gained all this weight and has been feeling so unattractive, and not myself even friends have noticed that I've gained so much weight. I need to change my eating ways and get back into the gyms.

34 YO female, no children, engaged to an intelligent, kind, funny, and wonderfully weird (not to mention handsome) man, who is a video game designer. :) He's not even going to see this either... LOL I recently finished my graduate degree (MSEd in Health Promotion) and just accepted a full time position as an education specialist. I overcame bulimia in Spring 2004 and have since been on a journey to be healthier, treat myself right, and hopefully lose some weight and get fit in the process! Weight has fluctuated from 117-165+? (I'm 5'2 1/2").

I am a 20-year-old college student, living (and cooking) by myself for the first time as I take a semester to intern and take classes in DC. It's going to be a tough semester -I'm an English major taking a full course of government classes for this program, so I'm a little out of my comfort zone. I am learning how to cook lots of healthy, low-fat vegetarian meals. I am through with excuses, "cheating," and mindless eating. I am hoping that joining a group like this will give me the strength and help I need to make it work this time. I joined because when I stepped on the scale a couple of days ago and clocked in at 157, I knew I couldn't stay idle any more. I felt I needed to lose weight ten pounds ago -- IT'S TIME!

I'm a 28 yr old grad student, 5'4" and about 150lbs and holding. My highest weight was 155lbs and my lowest was 130lbs. I have a hard time sticking to my diets and workouts because I do love happy hours! However, I want to get fit and shed some pounds so that I feel happy about myself all the time.

Bearing down on 40 in November. I've noticed the past 3-4 years it is much easier to gain the weight than to lose it. I've been athletic most of my life, though not very consistently. My kids are both competitive athletes (good genes?!).

Massage therapist. Red hair. Sarcastic. Intelligent. Leo.

Ten years ago, when I turned 40, I began running marathons. Since that time I've completed 21 of them. In 2005 I lost my job and retreated to the couch (with lots of ice cream). I gained 30 pounds, which I've been lugging around ever since. Fast forward to 2007, I have a great job and life is good. Unfortunately, I am still carrying around these extra 30 pounds. It's time to ditch this "couch" weight and move on.

My name is Sarah, I am 17 years old and a Senior in High School. I am 5'6" at 150 pounds but it didn't always use to be like that. From the age of 4 I danced for over 12 hours a week. It was my entire life until at the age of about 14, I lost everything. My knees were completely useless and with this, I lost the ability to ever dance again. I was 5'6" and 110 pounds and in a few months I gained 40 pounds. To this day I don't know what to do with myself. I am a curvy girl, and although I find nothing wrong with that, I would love to be a curvy skinny girl. I lead a very busy life and am rarely able to find the time for myself. It is also difficult for me to fit in exercise because of my knees. I just need some help and mostly, support.

I am a 38 year old mother of two. I am a special education teacher. I love dogs and have a chocolate lab.

I am 38 years old and the mother of 4. Oldest is 19, then 14, then 5, then 20 months. I have always weighed between 115-120 # and always looked great. After the birth of my 3rd child, I feel as though I have really let myself go- right now i am really close to the 170# mark. I really need to get motivated!

34, female, with PCOS, who does not want to be single anymore!!! I am an emotional overeater. Food is my friend in sad times.

I'm newly married about one week now. I too overate with the stress and need to get back into the exercise routine, but more than that I need to stop the binges and eating all of the junk.

I am a sophomore in college, and I gained 20 pounds over my freshman year! I still have not been able to lose the weight. I think what I need is the motivation and the support from PT!!Now, I think I am ready to make the commitment and go back to my "normal" weight!!!

I'm a 28 year old Chinese girl who has had weight problem since junior high school. I successfully lost a significant amount of weight in 2002/2003 when I was in grad school, by following strict diet and exercise routine. However, I gradually gained most of the weight back after I left school and started working. I recently got married to my lovely husband, and we plan to have our wedding in China and India next year in 2008. I want to come back to the same slim and energetic girl he met 5 years ago. And I also need to lose weight to improve my health condition so we can start a family soon.

Retired soldier currently working for a small police dept. Retired 9 years ago and seem to have permanently gained 3 pounds a year since retiring. I am trying to turn things around now. I live in Central Florida with LittleMissFancyPant my 13yo English Cocker Spaniel. I am in the middle of remodeling a home I built 7 years ago, I also am a fulltime psychology student. Will add more as days go by.

I am an 18 year old Freshman majoring in Nursing. I work 4 days a week part-time as a medical assistant and I am a full-time student. When I am not working or studying, I enjoy reading and going out with my friends. Working out needs to become a favorite past time too.

College grad and working full time as an industrial engineer.

I just had a baby 3 months ago. I gained 45 pounds during my pregnancy. I lost 30 pounds within two weeks, and since then I haven't lost anything despite eating well and working out. I'm trying to jump start my weight loss. I have used peer trainer in the past and found it to be really useful. I've been working out 4-6 times a week and trying to lose the weight, but it hasn't been going well. My hope is that my getting on PeerTrainer I can motivate myself.

Wife of the most wonderful husband. Mom of a beautiful little boy.

I am 21 yrs. old fairly athletic and healthy but haven't broken the bad habits I acquired when I left home for school. I gained 20 lbs as a freshman, lost 25 drastically the following year, and since then have struggled to maintain normalcy in my diet. Currently I am 15 lbs more than what I ought to be but more importantly still relying on food for comfort.

I'm a woman whose life was serioulsy interrupted by unannounced widowhood. My previously trim body has disappeared beneath 25 pounds of unwanted flesh that came as a bonus with antidepressant medication. I've lost the drugs and now need to lose the tonnage.

I'm 31, 5'4" 150 lb as of March 1, and I want to get down to 120 by June when I go on vacation... This belly and I have been friends for too long and it's time to do what it takes to be more svelte!

I'm 5'7 and I currently weigh 145lbs. I have a 19 month old daughter and am having problems loosing the last 20-25lbs from pregnancy. I have danced for 18 years, however I have had to find other forms of exercise since i no longer have the time to commit to dancing.

I am a 22 year old college senior at Holy Cross in Massachusetts. After four years, I've earned degrees in math and music and 40(!!!) pounds!! YIPES! The beer and pizza diet really doesn't work! Starting in August, I'll be teaching calculus at a private high school in the Boston area. The school is for kids with moderate special needs (primarily dyslexia). I'll also be working on a Masters in Music Therapy. I have a loving, amazing, and cute(!) boyfriend who is also sick of hearing me hate on my body. He is a good cheerleader and he is hoping I can overcome this too.

well mom of 4 girls, 43 yrs old

I'm 36 yr old. I came back to graduate school last Spring. I gained 40 lbs. since the last time I was in College...12 years ago :( I have a hard time just running or excercising a few. My body fat was 34% last time it was measured.

hi guys, i am a college senior- I'll be graduating in May. I am also about 20 pounds overweight and extremely uncomfortable with the way that I look. Being in college, i'm constantly surrounded with things that throw my life off balance: cheap, shitty food, alcohol, drugs, and a crazy schedule. i am looking to find a balance even in this ridiculous environment.

I am 5'6, 42 years old with 4 children and until a year ago, I weighed 125 lbs. With the sudden passing of my mother in Dec. 2006, I began using food to consol the unbelievable pain and gained about 15-20 lbs in one year. I am ready to get this under control and have my heart right about eating.

recent graduate. about to join the workforce.

I am a school counselor in Northern Michigan and mother of two. I am 47 years old. I love the outdoors but have a hard time getting motivated to exercise.

I;m a 34 year old female, mother to a 17 year old. I surf 3x a weekI work out 4 to 5 times a week. Mostly cardio and stomach since surfing takes care of my upper body. I eat healthy and live a healthy lifestyle. During that 'special time' i do tend to over eat. this may be the extra 10 15 pounds.

20 yrs old in college, would like to lose the freshman 10lbs.

I am 60 and have put on 10 -12 lbs every decade. I am spiritually based and have seriously started my transformational process. Major changes in my life occured 18 months ago, that forced me to reevaluate everything about everything I had experienced. I surrendered to Spirit and want a change of Heart and Head. I intend to change from the inside out. All change is good and all relationships reveal more about ourselves. I am sick of making excuses for my misuse of food, addiction to sweets and lack of exercise. What comes out of me is indicative of what I put in me...and i am aware change is essential and support is crucial at this point. I have taken care of the spiritual part and I am reaching out for assistence in physical atunement. Thank you for your interest in my wellbeing. We do for another what we sometimes cannot do for ourselves. I want to gain what cannot be measure and loose what can be measured and do both in joy and gratitude. :)

I am 25 year old teacher. My weight yo-yo's and am back up to my heaviest. I

Forty something, married, mother of two adult daughters. Vegetarian approximately 10 months. The last year my body has seen some drastic changes. In June I quit a 20 year pack a day smoking habit, a month later, intending to participate in Meatless Mondays, I ended up going vegetarian. Last month I made the full jump to vegan. While I'm more than pleased with my choices, and am careful to get all the nutrients I need, the fact is my lifestyle is sedentary. I used to hike and quit smoking to make the hiking easier. But somewhere along the line I gained twenty pounds and lost energy and motivation to move. I quit smoking and went vegan for a healthier, happier me as well as a healthier planet, but the extra pounds and loss of energy feel anything but healthy or happy.

I'm 29 & I work with homeless women. I have an hour & a half commute each way (on the train), so fitting the gym into my work day is challenging, to say the least.

29 y.o., 5'5", F, been yo-yo-ing between 160 and 150 for 7 years. Now I am 165, again, and need to see this past 150 and go beyond what feels comfortable.

I am a 50 years young and in the past five years I have put on 25 pounds. I am a lifetime member of WW but have not gone back in years. I have every diet book and gone through gazillions of fitness books that I never seem to finish. My husband set a goal for himself and it's over a year now and he looks amazing, I think I am jealous! I really want to do it and everyday I start out like I am but never do it.

I am 5'4" and currently 147lb. Last fall I was at my highest weight ever- 170 lbs! I lost the 23 lbs from October- April but since April I haven't been able to loose a single pound. I workout 6 days a week and make a real effort to eat healthy. I have also given up all sweets, have never drank coffee and rarely drink diet sodas so I am stuck and need serious motivation!

I just applied to grad school -

I'm 5'3.5" and 140 lbs. I have a history of eating disorders and disordered eating; university stress has made this veer into compulsive overeating and bulimia territory lately, and I have gained more weight than I am comfortable with. I need to finally learn how to eat healthily, exercise, and get down to the weight I want without heavily restricting, binging, or otherwise abusing my body.

32 years old single mother.

I'm a vegetarian so staying low-carb is very difficult if I want to eat ANYTHING besides fruits n veggies... I also smoke weed which makes it really hard to not munch out on shitty foods.. Also need to cut out a bit of the partying, when I drink I drink a lot.

I am a 22 year old recent college grad standing at about 5'6" with a weight between 135-140 lbs.

Hi I'm a 21 year old college student, graduating in May 2009. Like many of you, stress and a hectic schedule have thrown my sense of health and fitness to the wayside. So, I'd like to get that back before I move away to a big city and start my career.

24 years old. I got married to the love of my life 6-26-09...happiest day of my life!

I'm a 23-yr-old in her last year of college. Had always been pretty active (grew up as a dancer, worked out religiously & ate like a health nazi) up until I went through some crazy stuff this last year that resulted in a manic episode, and now experiencing some depression and bulimia (which resulted in some major weight gain 20+lbs). Basically, I went from a free-spirited crazy happy go-go dancer / sorority college girl with a fit body to a sad self-loathing average BMI girl. Determined to recover and gain my health and happiness back! Let's do this! :D

I am happily married and have two dogs that are my world :) As far as my health and fitness I mostly eat healthy, but I do struggle with being tempted by junk food. I do great during the day, but kind of come unglued at night and want to eat everything in site. I did great with working out, but I have kind of gotten off track with it and would like to get back on track.
