I've lost almost 30 pounds. ******UPDATE - I've lost almost 40 pounds! 165 to 126. Took almost 3 years. *** Feel free to read my daily notes for tips on using this site, and for other helpful ideas to help you with your weightloss and fitness journey. Let me know your thoughts!

I am a 51 year old woman. I feel tired all the time and I do a lot of stress eating .

I am 27, living in Chicago. I work full time and have a hard time making good decisions about food. I am most addicted to calorie-laden drinks, such as Argo's chai lattes and Starbucks lattes.

I am 31 years old, and have been battling severe fibromyalgia for nearly 15 years. I also have severe arthritis in one hip and knee. One of the biggest obstacles to my weight loss is I have diagnosed excess cortisol levels, insulin resistance due to fibrocystic ovarian disease, and thyroid hormone resistance. Sooooo.. combine that with the intense fatigue and pain that lowers my ability to exercise, I've got a helluva fight to lose weight and maintain that loss... But, I'm stubborn (a Taurus, wouldn't ya know) and I'm determined not to let this disease beat me!

About to hit the big 30. I live in NY, work full time, taking some classes at night. very outgoing. I need to make changes- I am working very hard at it.

58 yr old woman. Married, taking care of 90 yr old parent with Alzheimers in my home. Hired a trainer in Feb. and started using the WW point plan. Lost 40+ lbs. so far but I've hit a plateau and haven't lost anything the last 5-6 weeks.

58 year old woman - gorgeous but overweight. I currently weigh 163...and have since one year...

I am 30-something professional living in Austin. I just finished school and have not adjusted to a more sedintary lifetstyle. I also used to play soccer and rugby in college. Running for the sake of running has never been fun for me.

I am 23 years old, a nursing student and I've got to get some weight off! I want to look good and feel better about myself -

I'm 25 years old, graduated college, have my own house and currently have a beautiful girlfriend

I am a newly single woman. I grew up thin, actually on the skinny side, so never had to deal with extra pounds as a life long struggle, but over the past 7 or 8 years and most recently have been at my heaviest. My thyroid is on the blink and my age as well contributes to the lbs I seem to have a hard time getting rid of. I watch children and am also a massage therapist, both nurturing professions. Need to now take the time to take care of myself.

I'm a 25 year old teacher who put on weight after my summer of partying and eating while living at the beach. I have only 10 lbs to loose but am having a really hard time

39 y/o mother of 1-4 1/2 boy. Married almost 13 yrs. Was thin most of life. Hit 30's and boy did my metabolism change! I've been up and down these past 10 yrs. (185 highest-prego & 139 lowest 2 yrs ago) Diagnosed with Breast Cancer-2004. Gained 15-20lbs on chemo. Last chemo March '05. Started Wt Wtchrs and have lost at the most 5 lbs. I am stuck. I'm really trying to stay on treadmill-need encouragment though. Get lazy!

Single 30-something, currently working two jobs, not alot of free time, into movies and music.

I'm a 51 year old wife (23 years), mother of 3 adult children, and a "Nana" (grandmother). I'm actually a full-time, stay-at-home Nana to an active 1 year old bouncing baby boy!

married, mother of 4 grown kids. 5 grandkids taking care of mother with dementia.

I am a pretty active person. I usually go to the gym during lunch and then work out in the evenings, and stay pretty active most of the day. My downfall....I LOVE to EAT! I am a caterer on a PT basis so I always love playing with food and coming up with new and exciting recipies.

Married 28 year old professional nanny and personal assistant. Going back to school this summer. Looking to cut back on sugar, alcohol, and carbs.

I did WW several years ago and was successful. I was so successful that I kept having to get refitted for a bridesmaid's dress, making the bride very nervous. However, then I lived alone and had a rather dull life. I woke at 5:00 and was in the gym by 5:30, to work, home, and to bed. I thought about food and WW constantly and became very irritable if I didn't get my meals on time. Now I have a wonderful life, though extremely unpredictable. I also have a prince of a husband and don't want to subject him to the obsessive behavior that accompanied my previous WW attempt. However, we have been trying for our first child for a year and a half and agree that a little obsession to get some weight off won't be too bad if it helps us conceive. He is also willing to do a little WW with me, though he doesn't need it.

Had great success 3 years ago with ww,lost 26 lbs and kept it off for 2 years. (I'm 47 yr old full time sales rep). I was even a "leader"...then I stopped journaling and had a heart condition that I started a beta blocker (#1 side effect is weight gain), plus I also take meds for thyroid...no excuses, I stopped eating right and gained back all the weight this year...I'm ashamed to go back to a real meeting but need some support

Going thru a very difficult time After losing my husband of 27 years, 3 years ago, I finally got out and decided to date. Met an awesome man approx 10 months ago and he was recently diagnosed with lung cancer and in a very advanced stage. Life seems extremely out of control n I feel as if I can watch what I eat and eat healthy, thats one thing I do have control over!

I am 57, been married to my wonderful husband for six years, have two grown daughter from previous marriage and 2 younger daughter recently adopted. I am a stay at home mom and a big time food addict, especially sweets. I was thin all my life until about 14 yrs ago when I stopped smoking and started eating.

I am getting married September 29, 2007. I do not, DO NOT, want to walk down the asile the way I am. I am 38 years old, the mother of a 15yo and a 13yo. I work at a computer all day and have a hard time trying to find a time in my schedule for excercise.

I'm married, no kids, work full time.

I'm a recent college graduate, and have since then moved back home. At home food is abundant, and very tastey.

I am a 45 year old stay at home mom of 2 beautiful girls. I have a 20 year old - in picture and a 9 year old. I buy and sell on Ebay and I love the outdoors. I have a wonderful husband who loves to work out - which has kept me motivated and at times feeling depressed because he has absolutely no body fat.

I am a 27 year old female who works 2 jobs. I participated in WW about 1 1/2 years ago and did well. I lost 25 pounds then. I grew up very skinny and was a professional ballet dancer for all the years of my childhood and adolesence. I went to college, gained a few pounds and it never stopped. I have moderate to sometimes severe asthma and have been on steriods, thus causing some of the weight gain. I have recently topped off at my highest weight and am trying to stay positive but it is so very hard.

I am married and have 2 wonderful boys. I work part time outside the home.

I am 24 years old, have been "chubby" all my life. This past year I gained SOOOOO much weight! I was wearing 16-17 size jeans at the end of last year, and now I am wearing size 20!!! This is just so depressing! I was going to join weight watchers, but I have been going through some financial problems, and I can't really afford it right now! I found this link and HOPEFULLY it helps me loose weight! Overall, my biggest goal is to weigh 140-155. I have weighed between 205-240 for about 8 years now and its time to change! Especially cause I want to be healthy and look good for my boyfiend! :-)

I am short..maybe 5'1 and I carry my extra weight really well..everyone assumes I weigh like 125 and I really weigh 172! That is crazy to me! I work full time and live with a boyfriend.

Newly seperated mother of 4 that has gained a lot of weight over the last 2 years. I work from home now and am about to get serious about losing weight (from June 06 through August I lost 20 pounds but then lost my motivation and have been stagnant)

i love to exercise! i used to go to the gym but found i was starting to become an addict, and i wasnt really losing weight, just toning up. I now do an exercise video every morning before i eat, so my body uses fat as fuel.

I quit smoking in january and put on 30lbs. I am a single mom with 2 kids and i stopped dating and going out once I put the wieght on. Joined WW but had to quit because of hectic personal schedule, ful time job, and taking care of a terminally ill parent.

I'm a married 44 year old with a 2 year old child. I work part-time (2 days a week). I love to cook but everything I know how to cook is high in calories.

Since I'm pretty tall at 5'9", it's easy to gain weight before realizing. I need to stay motivated and focused and not be afraid to get on the scale every morning.

IM - 28 - SIZE 13/14 - 5'4 3/4 185-FEMALE

I am 43 year old. Growing up I was skinny. I have an hour glass figure so I have always had curves and I love them. I have always been active but now I sit at a desk for 10 hours and it's hard to fit a work out in everyday.

I am a 44 year old, single, woman, no kids that I know of...... joke. Work from home and am stuck at the same weight +/- 200lbs, size 14-16 for way too long.

I am 28 years old. I have the coolest 6 year old son ever. I love to sew, read, and anything that has to do with music. I have tried Weight Watchers in the past and really liked it. I just decided it was time to get serious about it again.

42 year old, separated for 2 years. Very motivated for weight loss!

I am 35 years old, a musician and teacher and I need to get my eating under control. I have been struggling with my weight since High School.

I am self employed and I am very mobile because of the line of work I do, but I do not exercise anymore. The main reason is that I am sufferring with my knees due to arthristis and this additional weight is only aggravating the problem.

Diagnosed with celiac disease about a year ago (no wheat/gluten products) put on some weight while I was healing and need to get back to my 135 - 138 ideal feel good weight

I am a married mother of three who works full time and then I go home and am a full time mother.

I recently lost a lot of weight over the past year and all my friends with it! They all talk behind my back about me instead of being happy for me. I need friends that are on the same side and are happy when others succeed too!

A mom of 2 young children, I am sick and tired of feeling sick and tired.

Im 29 and a SAHM of 2. Im bored and I dont have the motivation to do anything.

Married, 5 children. Oldest is 14 and youngest is 1 month old.

I am a 33 year old single mother of 2. I work 2 jobs, work out and try to have a small social life. I am very tired alot and I don't eat healthy most of the time. I'm slightly overweight for my height. My optimum weight is 120 lbs. I am 25 lbs away from that goal.

I was always in great shape probably due to eing very active and having an excellent metrabolism when I was younger and then over time I became less active, started to make worse food choices and let my portion sizes get out of control. I have never been "tiny" but I was althletic and by no means "fat," but I thought I was. I wish I knew then what I know now.

39 yr old married Mom of 4, ages 19 - 1.5

I'm 32, 218lbs, single, no kids, work full time plus, have a dog that is like having a kid. I have hobbies that are anti-weightloss such as cake decorating, but others that are not such as cross-stitching, i do alot of crafts and love to be creative. I think i have a mental aversion to sweating, hence the lack of a "workout routine".... all in all......happy but overweight and need to address that for family history of medical conditions............

I am a full time student and I love exercising, when I have the time. A lot of the time, I am very tired after class, and I usually have to work or do homework.

36 years old, mother of 3 wonderful children (17, 13, 4),wife of most loving and supportive man I know, business owner and christian.

Im a vegan, Im 25 yrs old, and I have an autoimmune disorder that requires me to often take Prednisone (a steroid that causes weight gain)and makes me very tired. I have gained 25 pounds since last March, despite my very restrictive vegetarian diet, and am attempting to return to my much smaller size.

I am married with 2 children 14,11 both boys. I work 50 hrs a week and I never have any energy. I am always tired. I Hate exercise. I took the Phen/Fen diet way years ago and it just came right back.

45 Year old proud Mother of two wonderful young adults.

I am a full-time college student that would like to shed a few pounds.

Married, one son in high school. Just getting ready for ski season.

22 year old, recent college graduate, enjoys trying new things, excited about my future!

I have found my true love in returning to my high school sweetheart ... I had my first child (Tommy) at 41, and my second child (Christopher) at 44...I am now 46 and struggling to get this weight off.

I'm very happily marrried mom and grandma . I'm aproaching 41 at the end of Jan. and my daughter is getting married Aug.2007. I want to look good for this special day. Also, i have 2 grandchildren and i want to keep up with them. I've always been thin (120 lbs.) i'm 5'6 . I agained alot of weight. I had to take predisone for my asthma and i gained 80 plus lbs. in 1 yr. My asthma is controled now, but i still have the weight. I no longer have to take predisone.

52 yr old grandmother (love it!) working full time at a computer. Have not worked out much in last year, before that I was doing areobics 3x a week, that seemed to keep my weight down a bit. My zoloft got upped, I started working 40hrs a week, and gained 25 lbs. Now I'm just getting 1 workout a week. Thats no good!!!!

40+ and married for 20 with no kids. I am a consultant that sits all day in an office and likes reading and writing - not the most calorie expanding activities. I would like to lose 40lbs. using the core plan. I lost 20lbs on WW but gained it all back when an MV accident put a stop to being active last year. I am recovering well and am starting to be active again. Would love to find a few people interested in embarking on a road to better physical health, healthy weight and along the way expand our minds with some reading and try our hand at some writing – fiction, poetry and non-fiction.

I am not satisfied with how I look and feel sometimes and I need to make this change before the end of next year.

I just joined the local hospital fitness center and am anxious to also eat healthier. A friend joined WW awhile ago and is doing well. I knew I couldn't afford both a fitness center and WW too. When I saw this website, I thought "this is what I need!"

I have always been overweight. I'd like to come up with some clever excuse like I'm extraordinarily big boned, or that I have a thyroid condition, but neither are true. I grew up in a house full of "eaters". We didn't have much, but we always had an abundance of food; the bad stuff. We had mountains of macaroni and mashed potatos and very rarely a fresh veggie. It wasn't until I went through homelessness that I lost a bunch of weight. Not eating, (which is not ever recommended), is not good for you. I was about 350lbs at my heaviest. Now I'm past homelessness and in a secure job with a better life. My life is in order, my finances are on track, now I have to get my body in line.

50 plus age, but young in mind and look young! mother and grandmother! retired but working part-time. Love life, people and am a happy funny person. Just have extra padding that needs to go away!!

I am a homeschool mother of 2 elementary kids. I work p/t for my church, and I am a boredom eater. I am at home most of the day, with my kids, so i have a lot of time for snacking.

I am turning my life around! I am in love, I have amazing friends and it is time I start loving myself! My destructive lifestyle has really worn me out recently and its time to get back on track by eating healthy and excercising on a daily basis! I have been trying to get back into reading also, I'm finding spiritual readings quite helpful and interesting, and I'm also into angel readings and feel they are helping me in my journey. I also have depression issues that I'm dealing with, I'm doing hypnosis and meditating on positive thoughts daily.

I'm 28/f, married, no kids. I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired.

28 year old schoolteacher, no children, looking to lose weight for health and aesthetic reasons.

I enjoy food way to much. Some of my intrests include DIY projects around the house, sewing, cards, and when I get the chance going out for drinks and dancing. I would really love to learn how to ball room dance, countrystep, hip hop, salsa, and swing.

I am a SAHM of 2 little boys. I tend to put my own needs on the back burner. I love to eat healthy and workout but its hard with three boys in the house who aren't the greatest eaters. I never have the time to work out so that is a bummer for me. Hopefully soon things will slow down here and I can take the time to better myself.

Im 18 and for 2 years i have been overweight. I feel that if i felt better about myself i would be more confident in everything i do.

I am 50 plus and really struggling with weight loss just now.

I'm a 47-year-old married mother of three, and I work full-time and am also writing my doctoral dissertation. I've been doing WW for two years--lost 25 pounds and have gained half of it back, and now WW doesn't seem to work for me anymore. I have no time to exercise but know I need to! I'd like to lose 15-20 pounds before my college reunion in May.

I am a 26 year old school teacher from CT. I like knitting, reading, listening to music, traveling, spending time with friends, my cat Dylan and my hubby Quentin. I am ready to become accountable for my successes and failures, especially those in maintaining a healthy weight and an active lifestyle.

I'm a 46 yr old single female working as a clinical lab spvr. I am a scuba diver, kayaker, and crafter.

I'm a mom in Riverton, Utah. I also work outside the home calling people and annoying the heck out of them in the name of "research." I have four lovely children, two of which live with me. I also have a sweet and beautiful boyfriend who rocks my socks. I currently weigh approximately 240 pounds, 100 of which I'd love to donate to Paris Hilton - heh heh heh heh.

I am a university student, currently in Christchurch, New Zealand, but I'm going back home to the Detroit area in early July. I love to travel and be active, but I have been letting my asthma hold me back more than it should. I've been steadily gaining weight since high school and I want to turn it around and get back into my karate uniform & show everyone what this black belt is really capable of. Oh and I wouldn't mind fitting into smaller jeans too.

I am a 44 yo new mom (I have a 6 month old) My weight has crept up since I came home with my son. My weight always yo-yos and after a real struggle to lose over 20 lbs, I have watched myself gain 8 lbs in 6 months.

I am a 25 year old school teacher from Arkansas. I have been married almost two years, and I have a 10 year old step-son. My husband and I are wanting to start trying for a child in about a month. I am so excited!

Married, Adult child

I am a 32 year old woman. I am currently going to the gym 3 times a week. I was on WW but I didnt stick to it. I didnt have the support. I am really needing to loose weight . I have Fibromyalgia and the weight ends up making me hurt more.

53 years old - homemaker -3 near adult kids - travel frequently

I am an American who lives in Germany. I have been struggling with my weight most of my adult life. I have lost weight in the past, but only after lots of exercise. I am really committed to getting in my daily workouts (walking). I have also joined Weight Watchers.

I'm 23, work as an admin in a university, and in general enjoy kicking ass and taking names. I love dancing, am a devoted gym rat, and a huge reader and incurable TV watcher. It seems the two are not often mutually exclusive. I've been heavy all my life, but have made a turn around in the last year and a half, and would like to keep that going.

I'm 57, 153 pounds, and would like to lose 15 lbs.

I am 28 years old and married. I am a counselor and youth minister. About 6 years ago I went on weightwatchers, kind of unofficially, some friends taught me the system and I went from 185 pounds to 145 pounds. My weight hovers around 150, give or take a few pounds.

I am married with two children - ages 4 and 16 months. I work in Human Resources for my real job and am a personal trainer on the side.

I am 20 years old, i am 5-8 and weight 165 I would like to be 140 I have never been the skinny one in my friends or family but I recently got engaged and I want to learn how to adapt to a healthy lifestyle not only for me but also for the health of my husband to be.

38, married with two kids, 5 and 8 year old girls.

I'm a 48 year old college professor (music). I've struggled with weight for about 25 years now, I was a runner in college and in pretty good shape but have been overweight all of the time since then. I can't seem to stick to a plan for longer than about a month or so-then I seem to get discouraged and quick-then I get mad at myself for quitting and after a few more months I try again. It's getting to be an annoying pattern. I really want to change-I want to have that feeling of having succeeded at this so that I don't feel so weak. I'm so disciplined in other areas of my life-I don't know why this is so hard!

I am a mom of 2 kids -- a son who is 8 and a daughter who is 6. I am a teacher and a wife. I love to stamp and scrapbook.

I am a 25 Year old Opera singer and want to stop being the stereotype of the "Fat Lady" singing :)

I am 55 and post menopausal. I have had a terrible time with weight gain the last several years. I am on HRT to combat the terrible hot flashes I am experiencing. Diet and exercise do not seem to work any more... I am becoming very frustrated and discouraged. Struggling with depression. Trying to move back to MN to be with kids and grandkids but, have not been able to sell our home in AZ. It has been on the market over a year.

I am 27 years old and live just outside Phoenix. I share my home with my husband and two kids w/fur. I work at a desk job as a business analyst and really enjoy it, but wish I was more active. I just finished training/walking a half marathon two weekends ago with friends and can't wait to do another race!

I am a stay home/daycare mom who also coaches a High School Cheerleading Squad. I have been married for 14 years to a police officer who can lose weight just by willing it off. ;0) I have 5 children ages 17, 13, 11, 9, and 2. I started losing really well, 4 years ago and somewhere in that I found a little surprise package, a little redhead and 50 brand new pounds. Wonderful surprise but being 35 at the time, the weight didn't just fall off. In fact it melded to all kinds of new places and held like tar. My oldest graduates in May and I find myself depressed often and hating how I look. I don't want her to leave home saying,"Whew glad that's over!" I want to feel good about myself so that I feel good about others. (Did that make any sense?) Well that's me in a nutshell.

I'm 22,   I moved to Dubai from the UK 8 months ago.  I was already in pretty bad shape,  but the life style out here has caused me to put on an additional 14 pounds since I've been here.  Once i get into a habit of working out i really enjoy it.  I like dancing, going out with friends, and generally having a good time.

I'm a 29 year old receptionist who loves to read, write and sing....and am very much looking forward to spending the rest of my life with my future husband James!

I am a 60+ grandma and married

Baby boomer living in the Carolinas. Moved from Indy 3 1/2 years ago. Absolutely love life and the Carolinas, but my weight inhibits me a bit. I currently weigh 178 and am only 5'2". I would like to shed the extra pounds and start to feel better about myself. My husband and I enjoy volunteer work. We have done quite a bit since our move away from our families. I also love gardening.

I am a 36 year old wife and SAHM of a 2-year old and a 10 year old. I am also, and foremost, a Christian who loves Christ Jesus and seeks to glorify Him in spirit and in body. Visit my blog at: http://pro31woman.blogspot.com

I'm 34, 5'2" @ 238. Mom to 2, stepmom to 3. I love hanging out with the fam. On my own I'd spend my time reading or learning on the computer!

I'm married to a wonderful man. We have 2 children and 7 grankids! I started riding a bike this year (April) and even rode 25 miles in the HHH! With God's help, I am going to lose weight and be healthier and live a longer and better life.

I'm a Canadian 36yr old married mother of 2 boys - working full time and trying to fit it all into one day.

I am a 35 year old mother of 2. I do shift work, so I need a program that is flexible and easy to follow. I have done weight watchers before and it worked so I need something to get be back on track, and some new ideas

I'm a 45 WAHM who used to work outside of the home and travel a lot. I never had a weight problem till I hit my 30's then WOWZER! I gained about 20 pounds. I've been able to get rid of 10 pounds on my own thru diet and exercise, but have platued at around 145 for the past year or so (although I hit 150 last Christmas). My true goal is to get back into a size 8.

Sophmore in college 19 years old

Well, I'm 5'2 and started out 160 pounds. I'm currently down to 140 and hope to eventually get down to 115. I gained the weight due to my bipolar disorder, the continuous struggle of finding medicines that work, and fighting against side effects, anxiety, and other events and stresses that come along with life. =] I've also been prone to eating disorders in the past and I still fight it, so i'm looking to lose weight in a healthy way. I'm hoping to find some encouragement and motivation along my journey.=]

Hi! I am 40 years old and am way over wieght. I have a wonderful husband and 2 children, 2 step sons, I love my family, and want to be able to live a long time. I have one grandson the only grandbaby. He is wonderful, he has a great dad and mom. Most of all I love the Lord and want to work for him. i need to loose weight, never had to worry, hate excercise and now i am fat and tired. weight watchers helped my neice and sister, sure hope this helps me. i cannot afford to pay to loose weight. last resort.

I am a former cheerleader for 9 years and I'm going to be a sophomore in college. I've never been "obese" but always taller/larger(though muscular) than most of my friends and have always felt self-concious. I've tried losing weight several times--in unhealthy and healthy ways. My last attempt ended with a total loss of 20 lbs which were gained again plus 5 lbs thanks to a three week trip to Germany and the infamous Freshman 15. Here we go again...

I am a very busy mother of two trying to find a way to slow down enough to take care of myself!

I'm a 22 year old nursing student. And I need to get the weight off so I can be more flexible and def. more healthy. After I gained 30lbs in about 2 months, the dr's told me i have a thyroid disorder. Since that weight gain, I've not been myself. Always sad, and hating my body. It's a struggle everyday.

I never had a weight problem until I started having children. I could lose the baby weight eventually, but it took lots of effort. I have 4 children and after #4, I almost lost all the baby weight before I began going up on the scale. Now I am bigger than I was with each of my pregnancies and I feel each extra pound!

I am 47 years old never married but soon to be. I live with my fiance who is a wonderful man.

Mid 50's; US Navy veteran; divorced, no kids.
