I've lost almost 30 pounds. ******UPDATE - I've lost almost 40 pounds! 165 to 126. Took almost 3 years. *** Feel free to read my daily notes for tips on using this site, and for other helpful ideas to help you with your weightloss and fitness journey. Let me know your thoughts!

I am a 37 year old male who is in the military and has been in law enforcement. I have always required a high degree of fitness in my life, but I have also fought the battle of the bulge through-out the vast majority of my life. I believe I have the ability to make the changes and help others as well.

I live in Olympia. I am 35. I am married with one child. I work 30-35 hours a week and I stay at home with my daughter 2 days a week.

I work full time and am a single mom.

37 y.o. M, 5'11", who realized that he's been getting a bit bigger than he needs to be. I recently started working out and controlling what I have been eating and it appears that it's working because I've lost about 5 lbs in the last 3 weeks and it appears to be staying off.

I am 28 and married. My husband and I live with our pom, two cats and chinchilla.

NEW ABOUT ME: HEY!!! I'm melissa :) I'm a p90x ADDICT! I love it! I'm currently on my 3rd round, can't get enough! With p90x and clean eating I AM IN THE BEST SHAPE OF MY LIFE! WANT ADVICE OR HELP? Message me! I'd LoVE to help you GET YOUR LIFE IN ORDER! ;) u can also email me @ melbel1811@gmail.com! OLD ABOUT ME (KEEPING IT FOR MEMORY JOGGING) My name is Melissa and I am very unhappy with my appearance! I am currently at my heaviest (i have ALWAYS been super skinny ..until college hit) I go into phases..i'll want to be thin and lose weight but I go about it wrong. I over-do it and excercise like a crazy person. then i end up getting sore and burnt out. I went from wanting to lose 10 pounds, to gaining 20! All because I hate working out and I have no motivation to work out because I think it's painful. REALLY painful. I want to start over and begin a NEW healthier LIFESTYLE....not diet.

I'm a 22 yr. old nursing student

I started beck diet solution on 1/1/2009 and lost 17 lbs. After a couple of months, I slid back into my old bad habits and gained most of it back. As of 6/22/09 I am back on track and hoping to stay on top of things this time around. Altogether, I want to lose around 50 pounds. I have a nasty habit of getting started on something and not seeing it through (hence the recent weight gain). Still trying to figure out how I can change that for good.

I started off with the South Beach Diet and lost 15 lbs, got to my ideal weight. Then started running to get my endurance up, did a couple of 5k races, have a decent personal best record. I don't like running in the cold, so I've stopped race practice (except for the 1 mile run with my dogs everyday). My current workout is solely the P90X program, and this has been the toughest workout I've ever done my entire life. I hope I can stay on track and complete this, my goal is to be in the 'under 10%' body fat range. Hard to find workout buddies for this program in the IE, it appears most people doing P90X live in LA County. If there's anyone doing the P90X here, please send a shout out.

I am 24, I am currently counting down to swim suit season. I heard a lot about P90X, so I am giving it a shot. Right now I'm trying to accomplish short goals, like to complete a week, but right now my ultimate goal is to get through the first 30 days. I will hopefully be motivated to finish all 90 days.

I currently live with my boyfriend of 7 years and the cutest Boston terrier in the world. I work in marketing mainly getting materials print ready. In my free time I like to read, scrapbook, and go out with my friends. Going out to eat is almost a hobby of mine, but I think I'll be scaling that back. I lost thirty pounds through diet and exercise about 4 years ago, and so far I've been able to keep most of it off. For the past two years I will get within 5 lbs of my goal weight and then I gain 5 lbs. Then I'll lose that 5 lbs so I'll be 5 lbs away again, and then I'll gain the 5 back. It's really a stupid cycle I'm hoping to finally break.

finished P90X program, and started the insanity program

5'6" and 190 lbs, I am someone who loves to watch movies, read books, and spend time with my family and friends. I'm at a dask for my job, doing payroll for a construction company. I love to shop, go for walks, meet new people, and I generally like to try anything.

I'm 27, and looking to just jump into a more healthy lifestyle. I have a job, going to school a dog and a boyfriend--and they all seem to distract me from working out and eating right.

35yo single dad getting started on p90x in a few days...

Just had baby number 4 on 3/28/12. Never lost the weight from baby #3! I know I can do it, just need to make it happen.

I work full time and a mother of a 5 year-old boy My family history has every disease you can think of, major ones being diabetes, breast and colon cancer and of course heart disease. There are a bunch more, but I won't list. I refuse to listen to my mother's statements that I will have one or more of these diseases because our family does. I hope to get my BMI down to a healthy point and stay there for both disease prevention and to feel and be healthier.

I am a 26 year old male from NYC, (Queens technically) and have just started my second year working for the NYC Department of Sanitation. The job is one that is not only hazardous (given the numerous dangers we face daily dealing with waste, traffic, and powerful compacting machines) but physically demanding. It takes a lot of effort to lift 12 to 16 tons of trash daily. Back in high school I was active and into sports, but I was never really fit. At 6'0", I currently weigh in at 285 pounds and am looking to get back to my wrestling weight of 215. At least that is the short term goal I am setting for myself.

I just turned 30 in March and am still in shock at being in a new decade. I'm 5'2" and have always been really athletic, and quite strong (muscular) for my size. Since the mid-high school years I've been struggling with my weight. While in University I suffered from persistent heart burn and to solve it I totally revamped how I ate. I also had many outlets for exercise available, and as a result lost the 30lbs I needed to feel really fit again. A year after this (my heart burn was gone), I met my current boyfriend (who was also in the best shape he had been in years), and together our bad habits and unusual lifestyle made us both gain too much weight. We both would really like to be as fit as we were before we met now and are trying hard, but there are so many temptations and difficult situations around. In the summer & fall of 2008 PT helped me go from 160lbs to 125lbs. I was getting 14 hours of exercise a week with my boyfriend because neither of us were working. I started a full time retail store position in November. Being around discounted confection plus not being able to exercise (time and bad weather) made me lose the muscle I gained over the summer but equal it out with fat (same weight Nov08-May09). I'm currently working in a better environment (I'm a visitor services/education assistant at a botanical garden -where I can go for walks as part of my job. It's always my plan to go back to logging and eating as well as I was in 2008. I know I don't have the time to get as much exercise, but I think the amount I have been doing is good. Especially after marathon training I KNOW that the only way I can lose weight is to eat better - exercising more doesn't change much. For all of 2010 I was around around 140lbs with not much change. I gained 10 more pounds when I went home at Christmas, which also coincided with pretty much the end of me running for a while (due to heel pain and overall lack of energy). The only way to recover from the heel problem is to take a break - it's an overuse injury sparked by running a marathon. I've recently (Feb2011) found out that my B12 and Iron are low, which is the cause of my low energy. Hopefully with some medical intervention I will be feeling better and have the energy to get back to my usual very active self.

Been relatively active for several years, like to lift weights quite a bit, did so through highschool. Have been overweight since early teens though unfortunately. Im working on changing that by focusing on diet as much if not more than exercise. I never focused on diet until a few months ago and have went from 284 lbs at my heaviest to 265.5 lbs. Besides constantly battling adipose tissue I enjoy music (progressive metal, death metal, 90s grunge, etc) playing guitar, and the occasional video game. Married and recently had our first child. Poor college student still living at home.

18 year old athlete (Basketball) who is looking for tips on how to get rid of hard to lose fat. I am a workout junkie, but I just can't get the results I want.

I have been overweight my whole life, and would like for once to fit into a pair of size 10's. I am ready to adopt a new healthier lifestyle: I've embraced vegetables, and try to stay away from white flour and fast food whenever possible. I love going to see live bands and dancing all night. I also really like swimming and bike riding. I just wish that I lived someplace without snow so I could do it year-round.

Lost about 20 lbs for my wedding two months ago and then promptly put 5 lbs back on during my honeymoon. Looking to re-lose the 5 and keep going.
