I am a certified trainer and weight management counselor. My 2 full time jobs are being a Mom and an elementary music teacher.

I am 39 years old, married with one son. I work in my husband's orthopaedic surgery practice, but I was a speech pathologist for many years before that. I am very involved in youth football with my son, Alex. When I get some quiet time, I enjoy reading the most.

I'm male, 37, married with 2 children. I am one of the founders of PEERtrainer.

I have a crazy, interesting, all consuming job that is my excuse for not excercising regularly. I know that I deserve better. I am a perfectionist at work and home and yet I sell myself short when it comes to commitment to exercise. My husband and three children are very supportive of the various exercise and diets I have taken on. The arrival of winter resulted in all my good intentions being forgotten. Last year I completed the Couch to 5K programme. I came last in my first ever duathaolon. I started my first ever diet, using the advice from the Fat Smasher team. As of mid January I have not dieted or exercised for 2 months. It is time to get going again! My weight = 62 Kg My ideal weight 57 Kg

Married, 1 child of my own, 3 step children

Oh my,where do I start.I am 31 years old, a happy stay at home mom of two girls. I am an emotional eater, and just had two babies in two years....and now I am at my record weight 228 pounds. I have been on diets before, its been a rollercoster. I really want to loose all this weight and I just joined the gym, and have started to swim 4 days a week, and I am on a low-fat diet. My goal is 150 pounds. I am determined.

I am 25. I have one son Chase who is 2 years old. I lost a lot of weight after having my son, but have been gaining it back slowly. I just need to be motivated to keep on track! I love to exercise, but it is hard to find time with a busy family life, and working full time. However, it's not impossible...nothing is for those who believe!

I'm a 42 yr old husband and father...I started this "journey" back in December 2004 at ~425lb...fear of additioanl symptoms of morbid obesity prompted me to act as I already had serious lower-back and joint pain, acid reflux/GERD, serious sleep apnea (Yes, I slept with a CPAP machine), -borderline- hypertension and I was pre-diabetic...over two years I lost about 200lb then as of my before pic I got back up to ~260lb...I am seeking to partner up with some folk who can help and not just maintain but also who can be encouraging and likekwise I cna encourage...

I'm an almost 44 year old Mother of two boys ages 12 and 10, married 17 mostly happy years. I'm a stay at home Mom and for the most part, I love this life. I volunteer a lot in the schools. I spend a lot of time outdoors, hiking with my dog and friends. I joined and journaled on Peer Trainer this past spring and lost five pounds. More importantly however, I was eating better. Then I lost motivation for the daily journaling and my old habits started creeping back. I don't need to lose weight, just eat better to feel better and prevent putting it back on.

I'm a mother, a wife, a teacher, a daughter, a friend. I work hard to be a positive person and stay focused in the moment. I have grown accustomed to lazy evenings on the couch with the husbster and a tall glass of wine, and the pounds are sticking with me. My son is 16 months old and I should've lost this weight a while ago. I am 5'6" and weigh 160 pounds. I would like to lose 20 pounds, but I'm not too focused on the number. I just want to FEEL great and if I lose weight, then bonus!

I am 33 a wife, mommy, full time worker, part-time college student, close to my extended family and very involved in church......To say the least I am busy. I am also very blessed in my life.

I'm 38 yrs old, work out regularly and want to get on track with my eating so I can reach my goal.

I'm an artist, working on my own - so have to be completely self motivated - a life long adventure in self discipline which never carried over to my eating habits until recently! January 1, 2008: 154 lbs, waist 31, belly button 34 1/2, hips 40, bust 38 1/2, thigh 23 3/8, calf 13 7/8 September 22, 2008: Beginning new challenge to lower my fat% and build my muscle %. This will have to be subjective, because I have not figured out a way to measure it, or have it measured. 135 lbs, waist 28 1/2, belly button 31, hips 38, bust 36, thigh 21, calf 13 7/8, bicep 11 1/4, bicep flexed 12. Week 4: 131 lbs, waist 26 1/2, belly button 27 1/2, hips 37, bust 34, thigh 20 3/4, calf 13 5/8, bicep 11 1/4, bicep flexed 11 3/4 December 22, 2008 Week 12: 131.5 lbs, waist 27, belly button 29 1/2, hips 37, bust 35, thigh 20 3/4, calf 13 5/8, bicep 11 1/2, flexed 12 1/2 Interesting to compare to 2 months ago: In spite of not losing any weight, I feel much harder - and I did gain measurable muscle in my biceps. I do feel that my perception of my waist is that it is larger, though a lot more toned. I was doing a lot of ab work for a while: I have heard that building muscle there can make you thicker rather than thinner! Jan 1, 2009, The 12 Week Challenge, A Repeat: Beginning statistics: 128 lbs, waist 26", belly button 29", hips 37", bust 35", thigh 21", calf 13 5/8", neck 13 1/4 ", biceps 11 1/4, 12 1/4 flexed.

I am 35 years old and have two daughters, Delaney (8) and Bella (6) and a one year old little boy, Martin! I teach early pregnancy and childbirth classes for an organization called BabyBodyBirth (www.babybodybirth.com). Occasionally I serve as a Doula for my students. My family and I try to live a healthy lifestyle though this can sometimes be a challenge!

2 boys and 1 husband make for an interesting life

I'm a 29 year old lady who loves to hang out with friends, shop, read erotica, travel for leisure and with friends, and enjoy eating a great meal. I'm not married, don't have any kids, and just living the single life with a male roommate. I need the daily accountability of friends and family to make this weight loss my reality. I can't seem to get my hands around this new lifestyle and I'm tired of falling off and on. I want to do what's best for my health and my life overall. I'm ready to lose this weight and I need the encouragement of others.

Ride horses (my life :)) and swimming. In my last semester of college, soon to at an internship, then the real world.

I'm 22 years old, have a 10 month old son and a partner. I live in New Zealand. I'm juggling between being a mum, and working full time as an insurance analyst. I have lost 66 pounds since having my son, but need to lose another 40 pounds before reaching my goal weight (around 132 pounds, which is average for my height)

I am 48 years old and married to a lovely wife of ten years.
