I'm a 24 year old graduate of Hamline University. I graduated in 2006 and after a short stint in the real estate world, I'm back to the Department of Corrections, where I'm working full time. I also work part time at a group home for disabled adults. In my spare time (ha, as if I have any), I like to read, watch TV, walk, play hockey, ice skate and just be around the people I love.

I'm a 36 year old mom of a 7 year old. I'm a Project Manager, so not a lot of time for me between work and home. I've gained a lot of weight over the years due to health issues and bad habits. I need to lose 80 lbs.

Married 49 year old male. 3 children under 13 years. Started to embrace a healthy life style 1 year ago at a peak weight of 216# at 5' 10" tall, one year later 195#

I am a 5'4, 129lbs Female with a unsatisfying Pear Shaped Figure. . . Argh!

I joined LA Weightloss about a year ago and have kept off 25 pounds, but my goal is to lose another 25 - I am 5'8 and weigh 172, as of this morning's weigh in. I have been at a plateau for a while, and definitely need the support.

Single mother of teenage son, Can no longer use "baby fat" as an excuse-the baby is almost grown. I'm ready to make a change and get in shape.

I am 22 years old and will be graduating this May. Will be starting graduate school this coming fall. In high school I was able to eat whatever I wanted and not gain any weight whatsoever. Over college though that has drastically changed. I"ve gainedweight and it really bothers me. I have a HUGE sweet tooth that sabotages me everytime I try to diet. I also have a big weakness for breads, especially breakfast foods like muffins and waffles. I feel like it is so hard for me to stick to a healthy diet because for 18 years I didnt have to. Getting really frustrated and thats why i joined this site! Need some motivating!!!!

I'm 22 and move around a lot for work. I find it hard to keep a steady workout/diet when my life is constantly changing. My weight has been up and down for years and I'm currently at the heaviest I've ever been (152lbs). I want to get my body and my confidence back. Other than my weight, I love my life. :)

I am 23, single mom of my beautiful son Hunter who is 2, live in Minneapolis, work at Wells Fargo and have a busy busy life!

My name is Drew and I am a student at the University of Minnesota majoring in Psychology. I want to get to a healthy weight for my height (5'7"). This is the heaviest I have ever been, and I struggle with self esteem issues due to my weight. In the past couple of years I have made great strides in other areas, but the weight issue is still there.

I am 44 years old, married & live in Minnesota. I am very athletic, into many sports such as competitive league tennis, biking, walking, inline skating and cross country skiing. However, this past year, I have really struggled with my weight. As of today, I weighed in at 148.8 :-(( I start looking like a stocky German when I get close to 150. My ideal weight should be more like 135-145 range. I am hoping to reach my 1st goal of 145.

I have 2 children. My "baby" is now 3 and I still need to lose the 20 pounds. Unfortunately, a yer ago I only had 10 to lose, but have put that 10 right back on and now am back where I started. It seems like the baby weight fell off after my first and this one is just nearly impossible!

I am a 27 years old female from Minnesota. I am currently attending graduate school part-time, pursuing a masters in counseling. Someday I would like to be a licensed marriage and family therapist working in a private practice setting. Currently I work at an insurance company. I really enjoy my job and I love school. I also have a wonderful boyfriend. We live together and he is a great support to me while I am attending school and working. I do not have any children.

I'm a very active person who has struggled to lose weight. I work out daily, but need to improve my diet. I want to gain energy and confidence as a result of my program, but my overriding goal is to improve my health and quality of life.

Stay at home mom of 3.

I am 47 and a single mother of 3 kids, 6 year old twin boys and a 10 year old girl. I also have two part time jobs. I have survived this year some significant personal losses including the death of my brother and so I'm am in a huge healing process. I want my getting in shape to be a positive element in my life.

I am 20 years old, going to school for Nursing, and working two jobs. I would consider my life highly stressful and hectic...always busy running somewhere! This is part of my downfall...I use the lines "I have to study" or "Im too tired" or "I don't have time" as excuses to not work out.

Married, stay-at-home mom of 3 kids.

I am a 32 year old stay at home mom. I have been married for 8 years. I have two beautiful girls who are 1 and 3. I have been working on losing the baby fat and getting back in shape. Starting December 1st, I have been to the gym almost every day. The days I haven't been to the gym, I have been running at home. I am finally serious about getting back in shape and feeling good about myself. I'm on the last stretch and feel this is going to be the hardest!

35, engineer, female, married, tired of the high blood pressure and lower back pain.

35 yrs old, 209 lbs, 5 ' 11'', This is the heaviest I've ever been. I have two young children that I want to have good eating habits....the problem is I dont have good eating habits. I eat what I want, when I want and that has got me where I am today. Time to change for the sake of my health and my children. P.S. 37 yr old brother just had heart attack, had to have stint put in. I dont want that to happen to me!

Im a 32 year old Women, Married with a son

quiet 52 yr old woman

I am a very hard person to get motivated and was looking for a support group online and came across this one - I am 16 years old and 6'2" tall weighing at 210 lbs, I am not a very strong person physically so those extra pounds come from mostly fat - I want it to come from more muscles then it does now.

I am a mother of two kids, ages 6 & 8 and have only started to change my lifestyle as of 5 months ago. I am in school aiming towards my associates in Criminal Justice as I want to become a private investigator or a criminal analyst. I have a wonderful and supportive boyfriend that makes me smile and my heart flutter, still after 2 years of dating.

I work full time, go to school full time, and volunteer in the time not taken up by school and work. I love movies and reading (both sedentary) which makes it tough to lose weight. I also have a high stress job that drives me to binge eat.

I am single, 40 years old, and work in fincancial services. I live alone. I have struggled with weight for many years. A few years ago my Dr. told me I had high blood pressure, borderline high cholesterol and was overweight with BMI of 25. I am looking to succeed with weight loss this time.

23. looking to slim down

40 year old woman with a crazy busy professional career which leads me to lunches out with colleagues & clients most week days. I would love to lose 25 lbs.

I weigh 180 pounds and a lot of it is in the belly. I am an engineering and physics student and this means physical activity is not common in my lifestyle of studying and working in labs. I worked in restaurants for a decade before going to college and have gained an apatite for quality cuisine. I love to eat good food thus need to be active to be in good shape. I love to be outdoors and want to climb more mountains, thus I need to be in better shape.

Born and raised in California, I moved from Santa Barbara to Minneapolis is the dead of winter. I have always struggled with my weight, but living on the beach was great motivation to run outside on a daily basis. I was also working in a restaurant (and moving constantly!) and biking everywhere for college. Right after college, I started working, and gained an initial 12 pounds. I worked with a personal trainer 2 days a week, and worked out at the gym 2-3 additional days, but couldn't seem to take the weight back off. Then I moved to Minnesota. In the middle of winter. With my junk-food loving boyfriend. I then gained 25-30 additional pounds! I began working a full 40-60 hour week, at a fairly stressful job. I decided in April that this was unacceptable, and I needed to change. I started Seattle Sutton, which delivers pre-made natural meals twice a week. Not only was it easier with my schedule, but I actually started losing weight! I lost 10 pounds in a month. Then came summer, which, with all the traveling and activities, made it hard to stay on the diet. I decided to try and watch my calories myself. I have been able to lose 8 pounds doing that, but plan on rejoining seattle sutton in November. In total, I have been able to keep off the 18 pounds... but I'm so close to 20, that it's killing me!

I am 25 years old. I am a bartender and have gained 15-20lbs in the past year and a half. I enjoy working out and being healthy but get totally discouraged when I don't see results fast enough. I need patience and motivation!

Busy busy grad student (@ the U). Love to cook healthy foods... hate to work out.

I'm 22 yrs old, 5'7'', weighing about 170lbs. My relationship with food used to be good--til I got to college. In college, I encountered all-you-can-eat buffets at every dorm meal and lost my parental oversight of my food intake. In one year I gained 20lbs. Throughout the next 2.5 yrs I have yo-yo'd between 155-170. I am graduating in May and ready to be the healthiest I have ever been. As I move forward towards the next step in my life, I want to move forward with healthy habits, a healthy mind, and a healthy body. I have given up alcohol for the year with the intention of losing the weight I want in the time frame I have.

I'm a graphic designer. Doing anything creative gives me a natural high and joy and I am so grateful to be able to make a living off what I love. I am your cliche emotional eater, I was just diagnosed with hypoglycemia. It's bringing on new challenges and frustrations to my weight loss journey. With this you have to eat frequently or you feel sick and if you don't eat it can be dangerous for you. It makes me constantly feel tired and I usually feel nauseous or have a headache so getting to the gym is harder. I really need all the extra motivation I can get right now, and that's why I am here.

I am a 23-year-old woman who is sick of my weight and low self-esteem holding me back.

I'm 62 years old, have 1 son who is a chef (he doesn't cook for me -- I still cook for him) and a boyfriend who likes to eat out a lot. I am looking forward to the cleanse these next two weeks. I like the structure and the discipline involved in the program.

I am turning 30 in about a month and am looking forward to my 30s. I am married to a wonderfully supportive and hilarious husband. I am a consumer rights attorney and specialize in bankruptcy law. My husband and I don't have any children yet but would like to someday--if my body will cooperate! We have two basset hound dogs who we adore! We also have 2 cats--who we rarely see come out of hiding now that we have the basset hounds! I've struggled with my weight for most of my life and currently weigh 240-250lbs (depending on the day-it seems) and am 5'4''. This is nearly the highest weight I have been at. My highest weight was about 264lbs. In 2008 I started going to therapy to discuss my issues with over eating and needing food to soothe. The focus of my therapy has not been weight loss (although I fought my therapist on that!); rather the focus has been on changing my “inside” first. I no longer struggle (most days) with over eating but instead struggle with food choices. I still use food to soothe by the choices that I make (not enough fruits and veggies!) In June 2010 I had brain surgery (of sorts) to remove a large tumor on my pituitary gland (the gland that regulates most of your body’s hormones). The tumor was responsible for giving me a disease called "Cushings" which is caused by too much cortisol hormone being excreted in the body. One of the effects of Cushings Disease is weight gain--so that didn’t help! The good news is that the doctors think the surgery cured my Cushings Disease--the bad news is that it will take years for my body to recover from the excess cortisol which caused my bones, muscles and joints to wither. My fertility has likely been comprimised by the tumor and/or the surgery so it is unclear if I can have children. My extra weight could still be a factor as well. I still see an endocrinologist regularly to monitor my hormones. It’s been 1 year since my surgery and my weight has dropped about 14-20lbs (again-depending on the day!). I am starting to feel stronger and have decided I need to be more active in helping my body to recover from the Cushings Disease as well as from years of being overweight. I really believe that “baby steps” is the fastest way to my ultimate destination of better overall health.

I am 5'3'' and currently weigh 211 pounds. Since joining Peertrainer, I have actually lost nine pounds, though I'm only now really trying to become active on the site. I tend to go to extremes when I take up a cause or activity, so I'm slightly worried about trying to diet and become healthier. I need to be sure that I am going about it in a positive and healthy manner. I have done karate for much of my life, and even competed and won in national and international competitions. I've chosen to move far away from home for university and am studying mathematics. I am usually a very successful person, so it irks me that my weight seems so out of control. I find it difficult to lose weight, but I am determined to see it through this time and I believe this site will really help me to accomplish my goals.

Semi retired

Im 5'3'' and 158 lbs. Id like to get down to 100 lbs. in one year. Wish me luck

I am a 36 year old mom of 2 wonderful children. I own a wellness consulting business. I have a wonderful and supportive husband. I originally did this cleanse in April 2012 with great results. I have tried it again on my own with very little success.

I am a 19 year old college student from Wisconsin. I just got done with my first year of college, and I am so ready to lose this weight! I have got about 30-35 lbs to lose. I feel like getting more fit would give me so much more confidence.

51 yr old w/several life transitions in process.

I am a college music student looking to find health, fulfillment and peace, and self love. I want to give and to gain inspiration. I am coming to understand that we are all connected and are made to rely on one another.

early 30's, sedentary job, always been heavy. Need a change, as this clearly isn't working, and I am not happy. Hoping for the motivation I need to make this life better.

34, massage therapist.

I'm a working Mother of three children who wants to lose weight to become a healthy role model for them. I've recently lost over twenty five pounds on my own and I would really appreciate someone else to continue this journey with me.

I am a single mother to a 101year child with aspergers and adhd. The past few years have been devoted on getting him help and into the right schooling. He is in a good place and life is not nearly as stressful anymore. Time for me.

Interested in a healthy and active lifestyle.

Woman in my 50's that gained a large tummy over a two week period (5" gain) about 3 years ago. Medical people cannot explain it, and a whole bunch of tests found nothing. I think it is due to allergy/sensitivity issues, but have not narrowed it down yet. Now, the joint pain has me highly motivated to find the problem and make it stop

I am a former fat girl who started a professional speaking business called Weightless LLC last year. My goal is to help busy professional women lose weight and live great. I am a working mother of 2 daughters, love food with flavor, and discovering new ways to move.

I'm a graphic designer and mom of two teenage girls. Over the last year I've gained all the weight back that I'd worked so hard to loose and I can say without a doubt that I'm addicted to sugar/carbs. I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired!

RN working PT, homeschooling 3 children:)

70+ single woman

I am a very active 42 year old with two girls (8 & 10). I am not overweight, but I have gained some weight in the last few years I would like to lose. I am finding it harder to lose weight than it was in my 30's. I need some new tricks and/or motivation!

I have many hormonal problems that make losing weight in credibly difficult, so I need as much help as I can get! I work in an office and sit around pretty much all day long. Because of my health issues, 2-3 days of the week I feel pretty lethargic and exhausted, so exercising is difficult. I just need to find something that works!

I'm 22 years old and will be graduating college in the spring and have put on about 40 lbs since high school graduation. After college, I will just be working a full time job for a year and I'd like to get some good habits going before that!
