I am 37 with 3 kids- ages 13, 3 and 7 mos. Starting "official" program next week. I'm a lifer but have been off the program for a few years having babies. Sprained my ankle and have been using that as an excuse to not work out.


I am a 250 pound stay at home mother of three girl. My five year old girl has alot of med. problems. where are thing that my kids wont me to do for them that I can not do anymore do to my being overweight. I don't have money to go to the gym. and I don't real know anything about dieting.

I am a single person who doesn't like to cook much. I try to do some kind of exercise every day. I like to exercise and think it is a good habit but it can get old at times.

I am 38 soon to be 39! my husband is my high school sweetheart.I started to date him when I was 15! He and I married April 1989. We just celebrated our 20 years!! He is so wonderful to me. He loves me no matter what. We have 3 children. 2 girls 19 and 17 and a 3yr old son. I stay at home.I do not have a job do to injuries from a car accident. I am overweight! I was in a car accident in 1997 an d had a head injury that has changed my life forever. I have suffered from life controling migraines! Im on a ton of meds including daily narcotics for pain. I also fell 1 1/2yr ago at McDonalds. They had wet floors and no signs and or rugs. I fell and it trrew my hip out of place.Im in a ton of pain from this.It causes hip, leg pain and the sciatic nerve is definately pinched. I also fell on my rt elbow and it gets to hurt often. Mostly lfrom doing ittle things. With all of this I have suffered I am determined to change my llife for the better.I want to not give up anymore.I gave up for years and look what happened.I refuse to give up this time. I want me back. I am 5' 1inch and I want to go back to my before baby weight. 110. I may even settle for 125! That is size 5 for me. Im now a size 16. I am a christian and i know God will bring me thru this. I am not going to give up this time.








So, I basically created this blog to keep myself on track with my fitness and health. I am going into musical theatre as a career and need to be in the best possible shape that I can be in. I am not fat by any means but I need to work on improving myself a little bit. Plus, I enjoy eating healthy and exercising. Last summer, I had lost 15 lbs in the course of 3 months by doing a show that had a lot of tap dancing. I weighed 128lbs. Since then, I've gained a few pounds and would love to get back to where I was if not smaller. I weigh about 135lbs now. I haven't been exercising or eating as well as I should, so I'm ready to make a change. Anyways, I plan on beginging the south beach diet tomorrow so I will blog my daily progress. I have had success with the SBD before and will give it a try once again. Current Weight: 135lbs Weight Loss Goal: 125 lbs Ultimate Weight Loss Goal: 115-120lbs











I'm a 56 yr old grandmother, retired two years from the telephone industry. I was thin most of my life, in the early years I was "to" thin. I quit smoking about 10 years ago and started piling on the weight. I didn't care at that point, all I wanted to do was be successful at stopping smoking. Well... now I care!

I am education student at UMKC and a mom to a very hyper but adorable 3 year old boy. I love to be outside and playing with him and my 2 nephews who are 5 and 7. I love to dress up and have fun and party but have found myself solitaire over the last year. I am an emotional eater and am trying to correct the problem before my son adapts to my eating habits.


I'm a third year medical student. I let the stress of taking boards and starting clinical rotations get to me in 2011. I packed quite a few pounds on to a frame that could already stand to lose a few. I have struggled with weight issues my ENTIRE life. In 2010 I got down to a weight that I was comfortable with only to add some of it back on. Stress has always been a huge trigger for me to eat. This year I'm trying to get into a better mind set and realize that stressful situations will always be there and I need to make the effort not to sweat the small stuff.





I'm a 39 y/o mother of 2 girls ages. I've had struggled with weight loss for the about 10 years but reached my weight loss goals 2 years ago and managed to keep the weight off until now. Over the last 5 months I've gained back some of the weight I had taken off.


work 2 jobs I have 3 grown sons out of the house and one daughter who is 12. I am divorced and very very busy. I am fortunate that one of my jobs are working from home. It seems I never have time to cook meals period let alone healthy ones, so guess what that means? fast food! too much too often. I have made a decision to stop this insanity and do something before I end up in the hospital with a heart attack or stroke. So here I am...

I'm 24 yrs old and I work for a company where I sit at a desk and stare at a pc for 8 hours a day. I have always had a weight problem. I was never skinny except when I was a little kid. Starting in elementary school was when the weight problems started. I was always around 150lbs. Now I'm averaging between 200-210. I have an amazing boyfriend who also happens to be my best friend. He has been so understanding of me and is always there when I need a shoulder to cry on when I break down. I have 3 dogs who are pretty much my kids. I love them and they keep me entertained. I do not have any children right now, but I do want them. I would like to get in control of my health and body before I start thinking about having a family though. My family has a range of health problems any where from cancer to diabetis. Its only a matter of time before I start showing signs for any of these problems. I would like to be prepared if and when that time comes.





I am 28 years old with two awesome kids, ages 10 & 3. I am a single mother so it's just me & the little ones all the time. I enjoy outdoor activities or just lounging in the sun. Because of the excess weight I carry many of the outdoor activities I enjoy doing are hindered because I am embarrased to wear shorts or swimsuits.





I am 33 single mom of a 2 year old son. I had gastric bypass surgery in 2005 and lost 206 pounds. After having my son, I have not been able to get this extra weight off. I think I just need some support.











I'm 39 years old, married with a 3 1/2 year old. This is the largest that I've ever been. I had a c-section February 22, 2007. After having our son, I had postpartum depression and didn't have an appetite and I was weighing 177lbs. After my son was 4 months old, the appetite came back and it's been on a roll ever since.











I'm 23 years old momma trying to work of the baby weight. I need to lose 25 lbs get down to my pre-pregnancy weight. I was very thin and fit when I got pregnant. I used to work out every day and everything was good. I want to get back down to my pre-pregnancy weight but having the motivation and discipline to do it is hard. I decided to start today and I decided that I need a support group to help me get this done.




















I've accomplished weight loss a couple of times in my life, always in healthy ways that last for years. The problem lately is that I emotionally eat/midlessly eat/buy things and falsely think that I can have self control and before I know it a whole bag of chocolate is gone! I love feeling healthy, energetic, and strong and I want that feeling back.








I am 27 years old and a stay at home wife. I have a nine year old stepson who I love very much. I have five cats, who are my full time babies lol... I have been trying to lose weight off and on for years but have always ended up falling off the wagon. Now that my husband and I are finally living in an apt with no roommates, I feel that I can take the time to focus on me and getting this weight off.

I've lost and gained so many pounds it's ridiculous and I know it's not healthy. At my highest, I weight 325 and at 5'2" I was as wide as I was tall. I'm down to 215 but seem to be stuck at that weight. When I lose I seem to always gain back to that weight.

Im am almost 40 yrs old and have two sons ages 8 & 5. I am an office manager and a message therapist. Attempting to now use my criminal justice degree and get on a police force. I want to be healthy and happy. I am most of the way there, just need that 10-15 lbs. :-)








I am a widow for the second time and live in a high rise on the Country Club Plaza, here in KCMO. I have one daughter (only child) 43 who is married to a retired USN aviator. They have two children and currently reside in the Boston area. I am active in the arts, as a producer and benefactor for same in the community. I am currently seeing a very nice gentleman, who is also widowed. I love and cook and entertain and am extremely careful about my calorie intake. I take pride in the way I look and look probably 15 yrs. younger than I am. I avoid the sun (especially on my face) which is way I have very few wrinkles. I am outgoing and love entertaining friends in my home. For twenty-five years I was active in local and national politics and worked the advance teams in Jackson County. Who wants to join me in losing weight and exchange ideas and encourage each other when each of us gets discouraged....especially with the holidays here. Thanks.
