I am 5'2 and weigh 166. yes I am not shy about what I weigh. However I should be about 125 at this point in my life. about 10 years ago I lost my father and due to stress and grief my doctor put me on Zoloft. DO NOT TAKE THIS. I gained about 20 lbs. on it. And even after I stopped taking it, I just kept gaining. I am a breast cancer survivor and I am trying to be more healthy.

I'm a 36 year old photo stylist and mother of a 4-year old. I LOVE cooking, and cook healthy, however I spend my days in photo studios where there are lots of unhealthy snacks!!

34 yo, 5'4'', 117lbs, married, no kids, BC survivor

I'm a 28 year old female, currently weighing about 165, and my metabolism has drastically dropped! I can't lose weight the way I used to, and my job doesn't help (I sit at a desk all day long). So starting today, I'm going to be going on a strict diet and exercising regularly. The calculator says I should be eating 1300 calories a day to lose weight, hopefully, I can stick to that.

age = 32, height = 5'6", weight = 216 lbs, PCOS and mother of 2

I am a full time student and work full time. I used to eat everything in sight, but once I got into my 20's ALL that food cought up with me. I am at the heaviest I have ever been now and just need some support to get back on track.

I had a gastric bypass surgery 10 years ago and my weight has slowly come back. I work retail and go to school full time. My schedule is never the same two weeks in a row.

I'm new to the blogging/posting circle, but I do think it would be beneficial to have a support group . I'm 42, single mom with two active teenagers.

I weight 163.5 Ibs now. I've gained 11 Ibs in the last month. I would like to get down somewhere in the range of 145 Ibs. By the way, I'm only 5'8".

I was thin in high school and college because I was really active - played softball, tennis, volleyball, ran, lifted weights, etc. I never really ate healthy though. After a knee injury in college forced me to slow down, I gained about 50 pounds. I lost about 10 of that and never lost anymore. I go through phases where I'll work out really hard and eat healthy and then I get burned out and start eating fast food again and being lazy. I just got married last month, and my husband is a personal trainer. There is really no excuse for me to NOT be in shape!! I started reading Eat To LIve and we have started incorporating his ideas into our daily diets. Still have a long way to go though!

I am a 22 year old female senior in college, weight 145 lbs but always fluctuating. because I live in vt for most of the year, I definitely want to find as many ways to exercise outdoors as possible (although for me, that will be harder in the winter!).

After I moved down to Texas I gained about 80 to 90lbs. It was pretty easy considering I drank Coke all day long, ate whatever I wanted whether if it was good or bad and did not exercise. I hated how I looked, but wouldn't really do anything about it. I would start to exercise, but would stop as soon as I started. At the beginning of last year I decided I was ready to start eating healthier and maintain a workout regimine. I have lost 30lbs since then. I have started to lose motivation. I haven't worked out in a month now.

i'm in graduate school, and want to feel great for job interviews, and be healthy to live a long and happy life

I am 26, a teacher and coach. I'm a twin, a fiance, a sister, a daughter, etc, etc. I really want to just be healthier, to feel better, to look better. I am hoping that this challenge among friends will really help me kick this off.

Jan 1, 2009 I was 168#, my all time high. We formed a Biggest Loser group at work, with weekly weigh ins and weekly lunches to support and encourage one another and talk about our issues. By counting calories and portion control I Iost an average of 1.2#/week for 6 months, reaching my goal of 130# by June 15,2009. I'm at about 126.5# now with my ultimate goal of 125# well within site. Its changed my life. I was never overweight in my whole life until 4 years ago when a variety of factors turned my life upside down and it was then that I began to gain weight, ultimaltly gaining 40lbs over about 3 or 4 years. I was miserable, but now I feel like myself again!

Stay at home mom.

i loss 20 pounds in 2 weeks and half after i experience palpitations i got concious without healt we can not succed.

27 and have been struggling with my weight for 4 years

I'm 55 years old and I live with my two cats. I work in a book store and I'm an emotional eater. I found this web site two days ago and found myself logging in today on impulse and eating and exercising without my usual conflict and resistance. In fact, this was a great day. I walked. I ate rationally - small portions, healthy foods, no sugar and no binging. I kind of feel like, wow, how did this happen?

I moved to Dallas in Jan 09. I have my MS in Neuroscience, still looking for what to do with it.

43 year old mother of 4-ages 16, 13, 8 and 5. Have struggled my whole life with weight, but especially after birth of my four children-they were all 10 pounds at birth!

24, single owner of a 75 lb mutt pup. I pretty much eat, work and sleep. I want to change my life and body inside and out.

I'm 25, I've always been obese and it's annoying and I want to be over it.

I am a newlywed, living in Texas with my husband and three furry children. I have always been health-conscious, but for the past couple of years I've let working out slide quite a bit. I want to look and feel better than ever about myself by the time I hit the next big one: 35.

Moved to Dalls from Michigan back in May '10. Love my job, friends and family and Texas!

I am a single parent of two teenage girls...one who just went to go live with her father at 16..this has been tough..but it was what was best for her at this time...Just after she left I had to put my 9 year old saint bernard down..also very tough..and this past March I lost my father to cancer...so this year has been tough to say the least....don't want a pity party..just ready to make some positive changes and get on track.

I will be 40 this year. I am a librarian with 2 children (9 and 3) and a husband who works a lot. I am busy, and that has been my excuse for not making the right choices.

I am a 27-year-old teacher in Dallas. I am planning to run in a few upcoming marathons. I am an avid jogger, but a beginning marathon-runner.

I am a 22 year old recent college graduate. I played collegiate volleyball all 4 years of school and want to maintain my healthy, active lifestyle through parenthood.

I am in my early 40's and need to lose weight to get healthier, I have always been a little overweight and now that I am older it is harder to take weight off. I need to do it to stay healthy and live longer.

I'm an actress in Dallas. I love to camp and travel -- two things that pack on the calories. Smores...need I say more. I am enthusiastic and cheerful as a rule but lack in the motivation category since I have a crazy busy schedule, so I'll need peer help finding the strength to get up and moving.

I am married, have a baby under 1 yr old and I work full time.

I am a 31 single woman. I work full time in the mortgage industry, go to college part time and i raise my niece completely on my own. My passion for the nutrition and fitness grew from just wanting to lose some weight for the wrong reason, to wanting to do it for Myself, to wanting to get healthy, to understanding what being healthy actually was (because i had absolutely no clue what that truly meant) to becoming skinny, to becoming fit and now I aspire to be a Registered Dietitian and a Personal Trainer on the side. I am excited to finally realize what i am meant to do.

There is a guy in the Bible called Barnabas. He was called the son of encouragement. One day, the Apostle Paul was down and Barnabas encouraged him. Ed Young Ministry

I am a mother & wife, I work. & I try to make time to workout. I just recently joined a gym so I've been going for the past two weeks. Three years ago I had a baby before I was pregnant my weight was at a healthy 135 but I gained a good 90 pounds overall. Within the past two years I manage to lose all 90 lbs but roughly put back 25 now I want to lose a total of 40!

I'm 18, and all of my life I've been overweight, and now I am determined to change that. Losing weight will boost my confidence to the clouds, and I am willing to make that happen.

I have a pretty clean diet. Never fried food, never fast food, ever. But I was eating whey (dairy) protein and protein bars until I looked at it one day and it hit me how processed it was. ew.

31 year old female, been on and off weight watchers for the past few years, recently left a stressful job that lead to a lot of over eating (due to stress), which lead to additional weight gain. Would love to lose the weight that was gained plus a little more.

I am 28 and have had an issue with my weight since I was 13. When I was 16 I was anorexic, then bulimic and now an over eater. I am excited to be in a program that will help me overcome the past, look to future, and help tackle my current issues.

Wife, working mother of twins. I love God, my family, my sweet dog and the Texas Rangers!

50 years young and loving every minute of it

I'm 39, and have been living in Dallas for about 5 years, I'm ready to lose this weight - I don't want it to define me. I work from home which is a blessing and a curse, I can make fresh meals, but I'm also in need of people interaction.

I am a former athlete that gained weight after a major leg injury. I'm trying to reclaim the athlete in me.
