60 years old, 5' tall, female, "empty-nester" with a demanding job. I've gradually gained weight from about 130 seven years ago to almost 160 now. I lose 5 - 10 pounds about once a year on a diet, then gain it back and then some. My current weight is the most I've ever weighed.

I'm male, 42, married with 2 children. I am one of the founders of PEERtrainer.

40-something female aiming to return to consistent workouts, increased variety of activities, and losing weight, gaining fitness.

I am an executive coach and corporate trainer running my own one-woman company. This gives me free time to spend with my kids Hugo 8 and Romy 5.

41 year old mother of a 14 year old and a 6 month old! I have had weight issues my entire life. I lose it for a few years, gain it back over time, repeat.

STARTING IN 2008: I am 31, married about 8 months ago. Wanting to lose the weight before pregnancy so as not to become a house afterwards. :) Doing pretty good. UPDATE 2009--Now married 1.7 years and am pregnant....I did lose and started the pregnancy at 23.8 BMI. UPDATE 2010: Had the baby and now trying to lose the weight. Goal is 178 by 31st July UPDATE Now September 2011 and really need to loose this before I get pregnant again!! UPDATE October 2013. Am 36. Done with pregnancies. Need to drop 50 lbs.

work at home mom my youngest is 16 1/2 years old . I have had 2 disc surgeries and wrist bone removed and my left hand bones fused . causing some loss of function.

Have struggled with eating issues since my teens and have lost and regained lots of weight. But I've gained weight management skills and knowledge over the years and have been more successful now at eating healthily and exercising in the last 20 years or so than ever. Eating better is an ongoing challenge.

I am a 45 year old working mom with 2 young kids who I adore.

38 year old female. I've always eaten a diet of whole foods and have vegetables in most meals and healthy fats and proteins. And I drink a ton of water. But I've also developed some bad habits, such ~2 glasses of wine a day, overeating wheat when I have it, dependence on having diary in most meals.

Work as a secretary, which make been active a challenge. Four beautiful grand kids that keep me busy.

I am turning 50 this year. I have been overweight most of my life since childhood. In my early twenties I did a liquid protien diet and lost 50 lbs. I kept that off until I had my first child at 30. I have yo-yo's since then. I have 3 teenagers. I am a health professional. I do not get any support at home. I have helped many patients and friends lose weight but cannot help myself. It is depressing.

I 've already lose 23 kg. 5 yers ago I was 90 kg, 43 age and my cholesterol was high. I just wanted to be alive. That was my main reason why I started to eat health balanced food, many fruit&veg. My weight was decrease for 3 months. And I still am 67-68 kgs. And I met my husband and moved to NZ. Thanks, my new body and new skills!

I am a 52 year old mother of two adults. I am a hypothyroid patient who now has to fight to not gain weight.

I have crossed the 55 mark and since starting menopause I have gained consistently. Every year I lose the same 20 lbs and gain them back and find 5 more. I walk everywhere (nyc) I go to the gym consistently bootcamp 2x+ a week, core classes, yoga, and still the same. Anyway...tired of the same cycle hoping this can really bring on a permanent change.

Married with 2 teenage boys

I never liked people that only had a few pounds to lose, but let me tell you, you can make yourself miserable with those last pounds. I wake up everyday and try to be positive/good.

I quit drinking August 16th 2008. I quit smoking on July 21 2009. I am making positive changes in my life. I have lost 20 pounds since January of 2009. I want to reach my life goal weight of 140. I want to spend the rest of my life healthy and happy.

Mom of two

I a 55 year old single woman who has spent the last 13 years raising too very special adopted daughters. My physical health went on the back burner as their mental health became my priority. I work half-time and homeschool my youngest daughter the other half.

I am 53 and like to be active. I divorced 2.5 years ago and am recovering from an abusive relationship. I have two boys, ages 18 and 20 who are also recovering. I love the nutritional information and scientific facts provided. The PONR program was awesome and helped so much as an emotional support

I am a 49 years old and I have struggled with my weight for years, and I have had success with other programs, but I have a hard time sticking with them for the long term. I did the cleanse a few years ago and I had great success, but when my work schedule became erratic, and my hubby started cooking, I put on weight. (He does not follow my eating plan) The past few years have been an emotional upheaval and I am back to my heaviest weight. I am committed to eating healthier and getting to my goal weight and staying at it. I need to stay connected to my teams for the accountability.

56 year old mother of 2 grown sons, professional health care provider. Lost 52 lbs doing PONR and gained back 40....time to get back on the wagon and figure out what happened!!

44 yr old wife and mother. closet full of clothes and nothing fits. I want to lose this weight to feel better about myself and feeling healthier.

I am a mom of 5 and a preschool music teacher.

I am a mother of two. I am a stay-at-home mom. I homeschool my kids and finding time to exercise is next to impossible! I am trying to work on "making" time for exercise and finding quick nutritional recipes that I can cook.

Female, married, 34, work with computers, have a son. Love to travel, cook, read and have recently discovered running.

I am a 62 year old grandmother. Over the last year with the help of PT I have lost 37 pounds and have joined a gym. Taking classes, yoga, zumba and doing curcuit for about 2 months and seeing a difference.

Endurance athlete, age 38, mother of two.

53 yr old woman. I've been 10-20lbs heavier than i'd like my whole life. I recently hit a weight I was shocked by. So I lost 10lbs by changing my diet to include pea protein veggie shakes for breakfast,a large salad (with protein) for lunch, and a normal dinner with my family (meat, veggies, simple and complex carbs.) I've also reduced dairy in my diet as I now drink almond milk in my tea/coffee. On weekends, I watch my carbs but eat normally.

45 years old no thyroid problems. I lost 15 pounds last year, but I've stalled since and I have about 30 more to go.

39 years old, Mother of a toddler, and I've always 'battled' with my weight, in spite of diet after diet/food plan after food plan (everything from pre-packed plans to raw foods and juicing). I have also struggled with poor digestion for my entire life. I'm looking for something that I can do to feel better, help shed the extra weight, and hopefully will also work for my family, since I'm the one who does 95% of the food shopping and cooking. I also teach yoga in addition to my 9-5.

I have about 60 lbs to lose. I have been yoyo dieting for years. Ended up with a sensitivity to soy, among other things. I am doing JJ virgins clease (started yesterday). I did 21 days just before Christmas and felt awesome. Took a break during the holidays and my daughters wedding; can't wait to get back on.

40 year old endurance athlete. Struggling to balance a busy professional life with training...and trying to fit in some fun in between!

44yo active "supermom" balancing demanding career and 3 school-aged kids, married. Always been fit and slim but since turning 40 have noticed a big change in metabolism and weight distribution. Toting along an extra 5-8 pounds as a result. Want to "reset" my body and habits.

I'm 64 and overweight and not feeling good. I want both to change.

I am now almost 60 yo, yikes!!! And here I still am, still wanting to lose about 10 lbs. The same 10 lbs!! Previously I joined Peertrainer in May 2006 and have found it to be the most helpful tool I have ever used in my lifelong quest to lose weight. Yet I have had a few setbacks lately and want to get motivated once again. I love this site, and the people I have met here! I plan to stay and keep the motivation going. I find it the most helpful way of maintaining where I want to be.. Thanks PT!!

I am 53, mother of two, grandmother of two. Own a restaurant and things can be stressful. Cardiologist wants me to drop 10 pounds, I'm shooting for more.

38, married, mother of 1 (10yr old boy) and step mom to 1 (21yr old girl), work full time, also Event Chair for my local Relay For Life and son's cub scout den leader.

Getting ready to retire and want a nice, long, healthy retirement. Noticing that when I signed on in 2012, my weight goal was 175 by March 1. I may have reached that, but now I'm at 188. Grrrr. But I have dropped down to 2 BP meds, and for me, that's a win. And I do have very high energy. That's really improved!

I am a 57 year old female who, in the past several years has gained 56 lbs.

55 years old and married for 35 years with 2 sons and 3 grandchildren.

Single mom with 8-year old daughter and orange cat. I'm currently training for a half marathon and think I could run a lot better with less weight to lug around.

20 yrs. old, looking to lose 15-20 lbs. quickly and healthfully!

I'm "middle aged" (won't say the # because it limits me), well educated, spiritual, love horses - riding them, taking care of them, jumping them. love my friends, being outside....I've done a lot of remarkable things in my life....in the last two years I put 30 pounds back on......it's amazing to feel at your physical best and I'm going for that again, permanently.....I've done the "diet thing" most of my life. Like a lot of other women, I can recite the calories or Points for most every food. I've done WW dozens of times and was even a leader. Lately I can stay on my food plan and for some obscure reason, I go off and eat poorly and then continue and resolve to start the next day. That's the way it's been going for the last two years. I need a group that will help me rebuild my resolve and confidence and help me get back to my Authentic Self - alive, vibrant, confident, happy, agile, energetic and truly alive.

Have you ever been sick & tired of being "sick & tired"? That's how I feel. I'm a young 50+ female with 50+ lbs to lose. My weight has not been creeping up--- but rather piling on. My job is stressful and I barely have time for myself. I want to wake up refreshed and energized. I'm looking forward to getting rid of the holds of sugar, coffee, flour, salt & all the other unhealthy, addictive chemicals in our food; waking up in the morning ready to exercise & also, traveling this road with you.

I'm 39 and live with my husband and 8 yr old daughter. She is really the inspiration for my taking care of myself. I have battled my weight since the 2nd grade and even though I have been at a healthy weight since the middle of college; it is always something I think about.

53 yo very busy mother and carer of my 17 yo son and 84 yo mother in law. Also have 19 yo son and a husband who plays sport like a 21 yo and keeps getting injured!

I just turned 61. I have been married for 40 years, have two children and two grandchildren. I am very healthy and want to stay this way for a long, long time.

I am 62 years old, a Christian, married, mother of 6 ages 37 to 22, and grandmother of 16.

57 yr old accountant, diagnosed with Type Ii three years ago after quitting smoking and putting on 20 lbs. No meds yet, and I want to keep it that way so I really need to lose some weight permanently.

I'm 66 years old, 267 lb, with high blood pressure and diabetes (controlled on meds). I have daily arthritis pain in knees, legs, ankles and feet from carrying all this weight. In fact, I had to retire early from a medical transcription career due to arthritis of the tailbone!

I am married (30 years now) and have lived in Chicago for 3 years now. I am mom to a lovely daughter who is 27 and lives in Cincinnati. I just turned 56 and currently do not work. A siamese and a white, American long hair cat share our home.

I am easily discouraged. I drive my husband crazy because I don't stick to anything.

59, accountant, 4 grown children, 3 grandchildren, fanatical reader and gardener, have been evolving my lifestyle for the past 6 years

50 year old grandmother who can now run and play with her babies. Great times ahead of us!

55, yo-yo weight, lost 53 pounds in weight watchers but gained 10 back and I'm scared that it is going right back up.

I tend to go through phases where I'm either SUPER healthy or completely off the rails. I'm a single mom to a 7 year old girl, and I'm terrified of starting her off with bad habits. She has a lightning metabolism and has never struggled with her weight, but I don't want any of the weight problems or body image issues I have to rub off on her.

Married, love to travel, very social, so eating always seems in the forefront of things. Trying to get more exercise in my life.

I am a 48 year old mom of two young men. I have been overweight since I gave birth to my oldest son; 26 years ago! I have no thyroid so it makes it that much harder for me to lose weight! But, I think by eating clean and livinga healthy lifestyle, I will be able to lose the weight without killing myself with hard core exercise. I am looking forward to getting healthy along with everyone else.

I am 49 yrs old, married with 2 daughters.Since my first pregnancy, I have gained and lost weight. My heaviest, without being pregnant, was 208lbs. I dropped 20 lbs. from that and held steady there for 5 yrs. Then I joined WW online and lost 40lbs. in about 4-5 months. I was fit. When I hit my goal weight, I started running and soon discovered that I loved running long. I ran in the Charlottesville 10 Miler (my home town) in March of 2012. I was maintaining my weight and feeling great. I was training for my first 1/2 marathon. All of that changed in October 2012. I was diagnosed with anal cancer and had to undergo 2 4-day-courses of chemotherapy and 5-day-a-week radiation for 6 weeks. I went from feeling great to death-on-a-cracker. I maintained my weight (didn't lose) during treatment. But I felt awful. I finally started feeling myself again around March 2013. But I had no motivation to exercise. I was eating whatever I wanted. And the pounds started coming back over the summer. So, here I sit, cancer-free!!, back on WW (I don't do meetings). But I am finding it hard to get back in shape.

I am 45 year old Christian, married for 24 years, 4 children(28, 22, 21, 19) , 1 daughter in law (28) and 4 grand children (5, 4, 3, 1). My19 year old daughter still lives at home with my husband and me. I work full time, and going to school part time and try to go to the gym every weekday morning. I like to kayak in fairly calm waters, hiking, travelling, and just started learning scuba diving.

I am a married, stay at home mother of two teens. At 51 years old, I am tired of my yearly weight fluctuations and waking up in the morning to the depressing thought that I am still overweight. I have no problem getting exercise. I play tennis regularly, I walk 3+ miles when I don't play tennis and I recently began running. I know what to do to lose weight, but I am an emotional eater and find myself binging to often. I recenly lost 15 lbs. but have another 21 to lose to reach my goal. I would like to reach my goal before beach weather hits RI.

I am 27 years old. I'm working hard to try to get back down to my earlier weight of 140 or less. I was 145 for most of my life and considered myself overweight... For me the weight really limits some of my activities so I'm looking to get back down to a weight that doesn't hinder my hobbies!

32 yr-old housewife/student who lives for Jesus! ;D I was always very thin until I was 26. I had a hard time dealing w/the loss of a loved one in '06 and drowned myself in food ever since. 42 years old, work-from-home mom to 7-year-old and 5-year-old. The most weight I have ever gained (except for pregnancy) has been in these past 18 months. If I gained another 5 pounds, I would weigh as much as I did 9 months pregnant :/

I have been working out and thoughtfully eating for 5 years, but never any change. My body is in shape, just not the ultimate shape I think it should be with all that I do.

Avid dancer and knitter / fiberholic. 1/2013 had severe ankle sprain that really derailed all my regular activities...finally getting back towards normal abilities a year later

Destined to be overweight forever?! I am a 35 year old mom with a wonderful 2 year old son. My husband is very supportive and likes me as I am. I, however, do not. I have been at the same weight (+/- 4 pounds) for over 10 years. When I asked my doctor about it, he pretty much said I was destined to be this way. I can't acccept that and want more for myself. Now that I have a son, I have more motivation to lose weight and get healthy.

I had open RNY on November 14, 2006. I am married and have one 13 year old son. I work for Mn/DOT and am very busy during the construction season.

33, mama of a 3 and 5 year old! Here's my mantra: I thrive and feel alive at 135! (Goal weight: 135)

I am 43 and have a 8 year old and a 5 year old. I finally lost the weight I have been wanting to lose!

I'm a 57 year old mom of three grown children, and I have 9 great-grandchildren, whose families I'm very involved in supporting (so the moms can stay at home). I work in a hospital lab 3-4 days a week. I also love to ride bikes, read, sew, refinish furniture, and work in the flower beds.

I'm a 40 year old nurse living in Denver. I've been gaining and losing the same 50 or so pounds since I was 13 years old. I go through periods where I'm heavy and unable to find the strength to lose the weight again, which is where I find myself now. I was a healthy weight for a few years, and after purchasing my first house this year, found myself needing to work overtime constantly to afford it. In my unhappiness from being at work constantly, I've managed to gain 35 pounds this year. I want to learn how to titrate what I eat to maintain a healthy weight within 5 pounds of my goal weight. I want to be an example of good health, because of what I do for a living, and also because I live in a beautiful place where there are always so many active things to do.

Grad student in my twenties lost almost 30 lbs last year but haven't been able to lose for a few months now.

36 year-old mom of two. Eat well most of the time, but crash when tired or busy. Want nutrition-based eating to provide me with more energy and long-term health benefits.

I am into the second half of my life which I am finding more exciting than the first. I have raised my kids and one has moved out. I am advancing my career to a place I want it to be. Now I get to focus more on me and what I would like. It is about being a healthier, fitter, more energetic me that has a little more balance.

I'm a 50 year young mom and grandma with 5 children and 11 grandchildren. I'm a business owner in the nutritional and energy industry and I help my husband with his business. I'm head over heels in love with the Lord and am changing my physical health so I can pursue some of the goals I have in ministry and missions and be a better steward of the calling I have on my life as a Christian.

51 yrs old. Struggling with weight since having kids, yo-yo dieting for 35yrs. Lost 112#s slowly gaining it back.

I'm a 31 year old happily married mom of a beautiful 12 year old daughter. I work full time as a Sr. Cost Analyst at a medical life care plan company. I live in FL and love doing outdoor activities. The beach, hiking, biking, traveling, reading and movies/TV are among some of my favorite things.

I am 58 years old and single. I amuse myself by watching TV and EATING, no exercise. I plan on changing all this and getting in shape by summer.

I'm 60 still trapped in menopause so have opted for HRT. I have had four kids which means I have a belly that gets bigger with each added pound. In my second marriage 7 years. My husband is older than I am so we do not share the same exercise needs. I still work outside of the home, I love walking. art, movies, biking and chocolate and dining out. I have a Master Degree in Fine Art and have just wrote and published a book "Art Activities Designed For Seniors" a guide book to help activate those in senior care facilities. I'm really proud of my achievement but must admit let my body slide while sitting at the computer so long to complete my project. The extra pounds just keep accumulating and now when I exercise my joints aren't too happy. I am very aware of the aging process and would like to be alive, fit and happy over the next two decade for sure.

I work at a maintenance office for the local school district. I have 7 kids. 2 are married, 4 are engaged, and 1 will always be the perpetual bachelor. Love them all and it's so awe inspiring to watch them fully take on adulthood. It was something I thought I'd never see. .

I am 55, a fitness professional and personal trainer, married 30 years and the mother of 3 grown sons. The one thing I have learned over the years is that it's more about the food than the exercise!

I'm 62 years old, have 1 son who is a chef (he doesn't cook for me -- I still cook for him) and a boyfriend who likes to eat out a lot. I am looking forward to the cleanse these next two weeks. I like the structure and the discipline involved in the program.

retired secretary, wife, mother to 3 adult children, grandmother of 5

So I've done this before. about 3 years ago I was 210-215lbs.I lost a total of 50lbs. This was amazing. I've built up a lot of self confidence (which was actually one of my goals upon first starting with Peertrainer), I look and feel better. But now that I've been at 170lbs for about 2 years, I am starting to see myself as large again. For a long time my goal has been to be about 150lbs. I want to finally reach that. I deserve it and owe it to myself.

I am 47 years old, very active, working out 5-6 times a week. I am working to over-come a life-long habit of emotional/mindless eating (Binge-eating.) that is not productive. I have reached my goal weight many times, but can never stay there. I end up displaying self-sabotaging behaviors to gain the weight back each time.

I am 54 and want to be my healthiest by my 55th birthday - Dec. 17. Will be celebrating my 35th Wedding Anniversary June1st and will be going to Kaui for Christmas.

In my early 50's. Happily married, two wonderful boys.

I'm 39, married and mother of three wonderful children, 19, 12 and 4. I have always been thin, even after my first two children. The third one was my undoing. I gained 60 lbs and have only been able to lose about 20lbs of it. It's been 4 years now and I've had enough. Time to get serious.

I am about to turn 52 and have spent my entire life dieting, and hating how I look. Seriously. My husband and grown kids think I look fine, and I am slowly starting to come to that realization myself, but I haven't actually arrived. The time has come ....

54 married no kids, gaining weight, not liking it.

I love God, my awesome family, financial planning, and food:-) Food has become my drug of choice whether I am stressed or wanting to relax and enjoy life. God is not pleased with this area of my life, nor am I.

I'm 44 and married with 2 kids, a 7 year old and a 5 year old. I have been battling weight gain all of my adult life, but have gained 50 pounds (YES, 50!!!) since getting married 12 years ago. I don't really even know how this has happened, but it is ridiculous at this point. This weight gain has gotten so out of hand and it's time for me to start taking care of myself again.

I'm a 57 year old mom to two young (ages 8 &12) adopted girls from China. Currently staying at home, but actively involved in activities at my daughters' school. I love the outdoors, feel great when I exercise (and then eat better when I do exercise), but have a major problem just getting myself out the door to do what I need to do. There are always more pressing things to do on the computer.... sigh

I am 50 years old with a 14 year old boy and a 10 year old girl. Keep losing and gaining same 10lbs.

I was an avid runner until I blew my knee out a few years ago. I gained tons of weight and am having a difficult time losing it. I am married and the mother of 3 grown children, two of whom live in Germany.

I am 51, I have been married for 26 years. I have three children and three grandchildren. I discovered I am a stres eater. I was in denial about being a stress eater. With the latest stress I have been under, I found myself running for the cereal, the cookies, the chips, the candy, etc. I have to realize I can not change the stressful situation, but I can control how I react to it.

I'm 52, married with 3 children (22, 20 & 16!). I gained 15 pounds in 2013. I've never been this heavy without giving birth!

I work in an office environment and mostly sit for at least 9 hrs. I have joined other weight loss programs and managed to lose at least 30lbs. My problem is staying till I reach my goal as well as keeping off the weight. I always end up gaining it back. I know what I need to do but then get tired of the same foods and routines that I always go back to my poor eating habits. Would like to be able to get support so that my motivation is always there.

Im 22 years old. I weight 160 and wanba be down to at least 130

I'm married to the best guy ever. I have a wonderful grown son who gave me a sweet and beautiful daughter-in-law. I'm in my 50s and work as an office manager in an accounting firm. It's definitely not the job of my dreams, but it pays the bills and I'm grateful to have it.

I'm 30 years old married to my high school sweet heart of 13 years. We have 2 girls, 7 and 5. I work full time and take care of the house and children full time.

31, lawyer, busy work and active social schedule. Fighting those last 5ish pounds and ready to fully get there, be toned and strong and extremely healthy. I live with my fiancee and my dog, and spend a lot of time out and with friends (which can be a downfall). I've been a pescatarian since high school and try to stay gluten free.

I'm married to a Sumbarine Officer that just got sent to Afghanistan. I eat when I'm upset so this will be a trying time. I think I've gained 5lbs this week alone... All I have to do is think about something sweet and then it will consume my mind until I have it or something else fatty.

53 year old architect. Married. Two children in college. Work out of my home. At least 50 pounds overweight.

53 years old, part time administrative assistant. Married for 28 years with no children. I'd like to increase my energy so I can work full time and not be too tired to also do fun things with my family and friends! I work at a church owned gym, but am at least 20 lbs. overweight so would love to get out of the overweight BMI category, but I want to do it naturally with Spirit-led gentle changes so I can give the glory to God rather than some extreme diet filled with rules and regulations!

I'm 47, and really enjoying my career. A bit part of my job has me in front of others - training and presenting - and I want to look my best! I feel so amazing when I can sustain clean eating habits. I have a supportive family - husband, daughter and dog!

Happily married, no children yet.

I'm an RN, working nights in the emergency room. I'm also a single mother to an amazing 14 yr old, who keeps me pretty busy. Since changing to nightshift I have slowly gained 35 pounds. Due to a work related injury and a car accident, I recently had my second back surgery. I used to be an avid martial artist and loved a good workout more than just about anything. Unfortunately, I will probably never be able to exercise that vigorously again. I'm now struggling with my weight, and all my old tricks just don't work anymore.

42 year old working mom of an 11 year old son, with a wonderful supportive husband who can lose weight at the drop of a hat. Our favorite activity is reading - quite sedentary! Just retired, 56 years old, married to a wonderful man, we have two boys ages 17 and 19. I have been a Christian for many years but God continually reveals Himself more and more! We have been at a new church for less than a year and are plugging in with ministry and home group.

I'm a 38 y/o female, 5' 6", starting weight 147; married with no human children but do have the other kind: one dog and two kitty-heads! Since being married – four years now -- I’ve gained 20+ pounds. Since then, I've had more "Tomorrow is the start of a new me" days than I can count! What has finally started working for me: Being an active member of Peer Trainer and following The Cheat System Diet. So grateful for both!

47yr old single Mom of 3 great boys ages 10, 12 &14. I really like being me - I just don't always love myself the way we always hope to find that unconditional love & acceptance from another special person. This isn't just about getting off the last few pounds & keeping it off - it's about building up the last few positive self attitudes & acceptances & keeping those on for life!

Want to settle on a healthy weight I can sustain, tired of weight fluctuations

I am 63, married with grown children. I am also a registered nurse and still work PRN.

Im a 43 year old work at home mom of 3 young children. Im 5'4" and close to 200 pounds. I am very hopeful that this clleanse and support group is what will give me my energy back and the ability to stay the course back to health. Nothing I have tried has succeeded. I feel that this is exactly what I need.

49 yrs old, mother of two, working part time, living in Athens, Greece

I am a 44 working mom to a very active 3 1/2 yr old boy. I like to think of myself has having fitness as a hobby.

I have been trying to lose weight since I was 12. I've done things that have worked and things that have not. I've lost significant amounts of weight, but have not yet managed to keep it off. In January 2011, I traveled to Mexico to study for four months. While I was there, I lost 50 pounds by eating mostly non-processed foods (which was so easy there with all the delicious produce!) and exercising A LOT! I felt and looked incredible! While I was in Mexico, I met the love of my life, and we got married in the U.S. in July of 2012. Being in a happy, comfortable marriage, along with going through the stress of planning a wedding in two months, immigration, changing to a new job and city only to get fired one day short of 6 months.. I put back on that 50 pounds that I lost in Mexico. I'm ready to get it off for good! I've found a new job that I love and am very happy at, I have an amazing husband who now has his green card, and I'm ready to put myself and my health first for good. I've been doing the cleanse (eliminating the 7 foods) for about two and a half weeks now, and I am so excited at how manageable this is. I think I finally found something that I can stick to and maintain as a permanent lifestyle change!

I am married 46 year old mother of two boys, 23 & 20. I sit most of the day between a desk job and commute to work that sometime drives me crazy. I workout in the morning before work because by nightfall I am too exhausted. I'm not overweight right now but been there many times in my life starting as a child. My relationship with food has always been a struggle.

58 yr old professional grandmother who has tried every diet ever- successful til menopause took over the tummy!

I'm a soon to be 39yr old working full time with an 18yr old daughter at home. Have been overweight for coming up 20 years.

Started peertrainer in April 2014. Love it here. It has helped me come to terms with reality and forgiveness when it comes to eating. I am almost 60, been married 19 years, retired 1 year. Love animals, gardening, cross stitch, and walking in half marathons. Have 2 grandkids that I cherish. I am so grateful for Jackie and Habib for their awesome guidance and healthy tips.

Retired proofreader/editor, relocated to Reno April 2013 with my husband. Weight Watchers Lifetime Member -- but extremely tough to stick with that program anymore, I feel like I'm always hungrey!

I am a mother of a wonderful son, I like to get outside and get dirty lately I just haven't had the energy or the self confidence to do so. I love food, so dieting is a huge thing for me and something that is very hard for me to be motivated about and keep with so hopefully this site will help me with my diet and my life. (:

I'm 40 something (closer to 50), my son is leaving for college this fall, I'm 90 lbs over goal weight and I figure it is time for me. Stress is a big factor, I tend to eat my way through it, and it's been a big part of life lately.

48 and a half (but don't look or act it). Happily married to a man who eats what he likes all day long but still looks amazing. Half French (so love all food, except peppers, but especially cheese) Hashimotos sufferer. Which sucks .... Tipping the scales at 200lbs (at 5'5") and no idea how I got here....

I'm usually happy with me. Lately, I'm not. My weight is creeping up again, my exercise routines are practically nil and I sure could use some encouragement. Just approaching 60 in a few days - that kind of has me spooked.

I'm 61 years old, married with one grown up daughter. I'm a complementary therapist, teaching carers the importance of 'self care'. Think I'm experiencing mild depression and stress.

Wife of a wonderful man and mom of 2 great adults!

I am 53 and an "older mom" who feels plenty young. I have two delightful kids that keep me running (10 and 5 yrs) They have been a joy and a blessing but my body has paid for poor sleep, poor exercise and eating over these last few years. I'm committed to getting healthy and staying healthy...I want to be around for them and my husband for a long, long time!
