It's hard to find a more healthy dessert than this phytochemical-rich medley of fruits. Use a carrot peeler to remove the skin from the kiwi. Walnuts are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which help protect the heart.

2medium oranges
2kiwi fruit, peeled, halved and thinly sliced
2 cupsred or purple grapes
1 cupsliced strawberries
1medium mango, peeled, pitted and diced
1/2 cupwalnut halves and pieces
1 tbspgranulated sugar

Grate the rind from 1 orange and place it in a decorative bowl. Peel both oranges, quarter them, and cut into thin slices. Add kiwi, grapes, strawberries and mango to the bowl. Preheat oven to 350° F. Rinse walnuts under water and drain. Place in a small bowl and add sugar; toss to coat. Scatter sugared nuts on a foil-lined baking sheet and bake for 6 minutes, or until crisp. Add to fruit salad and toss to mix.

Serves: 8

Prep Time: 15 min.

Cook Time: 6-7 min.
