ot: why Hillary is staying in the race...

the link below takes you to photo of Obama shaking hands *last week* with one of Hezbollah's main guys here in the US. Amazing. Looking forward to hearing what the Obama/messiah defenders have to say about this one.

What are the talking points to diffuse/dismiss this?

Hillary better take her fight right to the convention.

OP, I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that you're a racist (not to blacks, but to Middle Easterners!).

10:43- so to be concerned about people who support terrorism is racist? Do you know that a far smaller number of muslims think violence against civilians is ok, than Americans do?

Did you actually read the article in the link?

If you don't support Hillary, you are a sexist. If you don't support Obama, you are a racist. If you don't support McCain, you are an ageist. If you don't support Bush, you are an idiotist etc etc. Are Americans no longer taught to think anymore? Can

yes, certainly it is better to bomb their homeland, kill their children and cause civil war than to meet and talk with their leaders.

let's not forget he won't put his hand on his heart or say the Pledge of Allegiance. What kind of leader for America wouldn't do that!

one simple question...

if this were a white man doing similar things as Obama - being willing to talk with people considered terrorists, trying to find new solutions to problems where we are getting no where fast, and calling it like he sees it - would you be as concerned? Probably not. You would call him a peacemaker, a revolutionary thinker, a trailblazer., maybe even eccentric. But you would support him or at least not be so quick to believe any old story printed about him.

Open your eyes people, Bush's policy of stone-walling resistance leaders, bullying, and putting America's interests last have gotten us in the mess we are in now. America is viewed as a declining nation. A nation that lacks morals, ethics, and the ability to see the big picture. Never has America's position in international affairs been so dire. So maybe it's time we try some new tactics, because the old ones are getting us nowhere fast! Please try to see beyond Obama's skin color and name and look at what he is trying to accomplish.

i agree on the Bush comment, however, I won't vote for any man regardless of color who doesn't believe in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Counter-argument...2:47 here

Here's a bit of info for those of you STILL hooked on this story about Obama not being patriotic enough. Read, read it again, digest it, and then stop with this nonsense. All of this bickering about Obama not being patriotic enough is crap and simply because he is a Black man...an educated, articulate, ambitious Black man. If he were White with the same pedigree and credentials, you would not be thinking twice much less believing any old story printed about him. Wake up, America! Just because his skin is darker, does not qualify him any less than a White man. And they say racism in America is hard to find - seems that I don't have to look very far.

4:31--thank you for pointing it out that it wasn't the Pledge of Allegience he wouldn't resite or put his hand on his heart, it was the NATIONAL ANTHEM! EVEN WORSE.

Obama is hiding behind is race. He is a far left liberal out to raise taxes and weaken our defense. Race has nothing to do with it. He is just like Carter, Mondale, Dukaksi, Kerry etc. Raising taxes weakens the economy. Hillary is not as far out there as Obama. There is a reason her husband served two terms as president- because he was flexible and not too liberal or too conservative. He simply used his mind. Obama shows none of the policy smarts the Clintons have. Does anyone remember the 90's? Btw, McCain lacks the Clintonian smarts as well.

I hope Hillary launches an independent bid- women will vote for her, independents will vote for her, anyone who wants a real alternative. McCain will further erode abortion rights and Obama will essentially give Iran the green light to retake Syria, Lebanon and put Israel at huge risk.

So ...

let me get this straight ... you would rather Hilary run as an independant, split the Democratic vote and essentially let McCain walk right into the White House???? That's a GREAT plan - NOT!!!!

Agree 10:02
I am so sick of people pulling the race card when anyone says anything against Obama. "Must be because he's black" how retarded. Maybe some people think that way but the rest of us are intelligent enough to decide for ourselves who to vote for and not base it on color or sex. And not for nothin' we live in America where we have the right to vote or not vote for someone based on anything we so choose.

I wish she stayed in as well. I don't like either candidate now. Don't think I will be voting at all in this election. That said, I won't have any right to complain about whoever wins!

as long as gas prices keep going up, and Obama does not soften his stance on domestic production, we are going to have a president McCain. McCain could go into hiding and periodically mutter "drill here. drill now" thats all he would need.

You MUST vote! Too many people have fought for your right to vote for you to discard it that way. Please look into the issues of each candidate, pick the best one and VOTE!

I understand that I should vote, and don't want to just discard that right, but I don't like either candidate. Should I pick one just for the sake of voting? That doesn't make much sense to me.
