National Treasure

I was sitting in a bar last night (alone on Valentines day) and Neil Young started playing. Down By The River. Kind of a bizzare song, but I thought, this guy is really special. The kind of guy who makes this country great. And I can't think of many new musicians i'd say that about. Anyone else have someone to nominate as a "National Treasure"?

Annie Dillard. I'll never forget reading "Pilgrim at Tinker Creek" in high school. She's not that known, but she is amazing in her description of nature.

Then I'm all for it. I painted a memorial mural in his honor in my dorm my freshman year. I wonder if it's still there??

We're talking "national treasure" here people not entertainment extraordinaire.

National Treasures:
Lorena Bobbit-for standing up for women everywhere
Abraham Lincoln-for seeing beyond the colors
Albert Einstein-for "duh"
The Unknown Soldier-for giving his life for us to live free

Cheating bastards around the world beware! What about that chick who ran over her husband like 4 times "accidently" when she busted him having an affair?!

I think anyone who wants to put themselves and their families through the hell of national politics deserves kudos. I would never do that to my family.

JD THOMPSON ~ National Treasure

JD Thompson is a young artist that I found on Myspace. His soulful voice soothes, comforts and inspires. Just wait until his CD comes out! You'll see!

William Shatner...::grin:: Thanks for the smile this morning. I'll nod to your list of Canadians, though I'm with the poster above who said something about celebrities-of-the-moment.
