8 week challenge!

Inspired by a groovy group member, I've decided to create a group based on an 8 week challenge! It goes from THIS Saturday April 8th through June 3rd!
Join in if you're interested in getting a head start on Summer!
"Okay, group! After days, and for some of us, weeks of ridiculous stress, I think we need to clear the winter clutter and start a Spring challenge! It's been a little chilly but the buds are blooming and so should we! So let's wake up, and get on a little assigment together!
How about we challenge each other to be down a size, or 10-15 lbs., (depending on your goals) in the next 8 weeks? We can start from this Saturday, so 10 weeks from then would be June 3rd. We should also write how we plan to get there! Here's me:
-1200-1500 cals daily (focus on moderation, portions, and balance as much as possible!)
-"No cal. count" meals allowed 1x/month!
-Gym workouts at least 3x/week
-Right now I'm at 172.5 (as of this past weekend), and a size 12 in pants.
- My 8 week goal is to lose another 10-15 lbs., or get into a size 10 in pants! I'm going to goto the Gap this weekend, make sure the Relaxed Fit jeans fit in size 12, and then my goal will be to fit into the size 10 of the same style in 8 weeks! (Since sizes can be different between stores!)
What do y'all think? A little Spring boost, a great way to face the last couple of weeks before the Summer begins (June 21st), and a way to get us all revved up again!
What's your goal, and what's your plan to get there?"
See you there!

Hey Sophie, I'll follow you with your challenge, but since I'm already in one of your groups, I'll let others join you in this one! :-)

This sounds perfect. I've lost 23 lbs and have 16 more to go. I am definitely in. I came here for the first time tonight and started a group to see if I could meet some people locally, but this challenge sounds like what I need.

I would love to be a part of this group. I am new to peertrainer and I don't even know how I found this thread and may not be able to get back to it again. I will certainly do my best. I love the idea of having accountability and team mates to help me along with my goal of losing 25 lbs by July 4th. I'm in.
