Waking Up MOTIVATED

The only time I can make to excersize is to wake up early and do it but I am so not motivated at 5:30/6:00 am. What motivates you to get up and off your5 duff and GET JIGGY with it?

The fact that it's not yet 7am but I am DONE with my exercise for the day. That feeling rocks!

Waking up motivated

id say the best way to get yourself motivated it to find a workout buddy. I know im terrible at self motivation, i always need somebody to bounce it off of!

My New Year's resolution is to get up early and get moving early. I am finding that to be a harder thing to accomplish than losing weight! One of these days, though... I love the idea of getting my "exercise" done early, so that the rest of the day is "free time." Any activity above and beyond the routine will be a big bonus.

One day I went running, got back at 8:30, did 1000 jumping jacks, and then 500 ab exercises, 200 back exercises, 60 butt, 200 leg, and about 10 different total body exercises. I finished by 10 am. The next day when I got back from running I stopped to make pasta. I had a really hard time getting back to exercising and I didnt finish until 2pm. So if you get up early and finish all your workouts at once, you'll feel so much better. Its nice to know that you are done for the day, which will motivate you to do it again tomorrow

I keep my alarm on the other side of the room- and at night place a picture of my dream body. Each morning when I want to walk across the room and hit snooze - I see the picture starring at me telling me I'm not going to get those abs by sleeping in!

My alarm is on the other side of the room but I just get up and hit the snooze button a dozen times! How do you make yourself get up and get going instead of simply hitting the sack for a few more minutes?

First off... break the damn snooze button.
Second... get an alarm to play this song http://www.clubcourtyard.com/ChickenFat.html

Third... Do as many pushups you can do right there to get your blood pumpin
Forth .... hit the shower!

I like the picture idea as well.

I woke up motivated! I went to the gym, got on the treadmill and was cut short but I'm still motivated! I'm going to have a great breakfast and get a walk in at lunch. Who wants to do this with me? We can all keep each other motivated.

omg. the only reason I can haul out of bed and exercise is if I know I won't have time at the end of the day. I will say that if I know there's not time to work out at the end of the day I WILL get up. No question. AM workout beats no workout a thousand times over.
oh, and my favorite time to go to the gym is at about 8 at night. I love that time. It's quiet, I can work as hard as I want and then go home and go to bed. I sleep like a baby.
I guess this really wasnt helpful.

I get excited in the morning so for me, I have to do it first thing! I am the same way as the 2nd poster - the fact that it's 7:30am and I am done and free to just be energized and happy makes me happy! Maybe you should switch it up though - not everyone is a morning workout person. Everyone has their time a day that they have the most energy. It might be a good idea to figure out when your time of the day is and workout then.

To wake up motivated...

I MUST go to bed at a reasonable time. Or forget it!

What sort of exercises do you do in the morning before work? Running? Strength? Yoga? DVD's? How do you get motivated to fight with the DVD player?
