I'm new to Weight Watchers and have a points question

If I eat a salad - and all the foods are "core" foods & I measure out each portion (i'm not eating the salad out of a punch bowl), would that salad still count as zero points??

my understanding is that you only count points on non core foods. If everything you eat is core, then you wouldn't count any of it. Enjoy!

If your doing flex and actually counting points its a good idea to count one serving of something that doesn't have points as at least 1 point. I mean everything has something. If something I'm eating says its 0 points then I add more and count it as 1. If your doing core and its on the core list you don't count it, only foods that aren't on the list counts towards points used.

If you're on the Pts plan, then yes, it's still 0 pts (LOVE VEGGIES!). Core and the Pts. plan don't mix (although you can switch from week to week).
