I though that it would be fun to hear about any great fitness apps you are using!

I love/hate fitness apps

I buy apps all the time, and then delete them a few months later. These are on my phone now:

Myfitnesspal - best food database, snarky younger crowd in forums.
Lose It! - worst food database, nicer older folks, not too social.
OptimizeMe - workout challenges, for couch potatoes.
Fit Click - best combination
RunKeeper - log distance (walk, jog, etc.)
Runners World "Smart Coach" - creates training schedule

FitBit - not an app, but you can use it with above diet apps to log exercise (MFP, etc.) LOVE IT!!

Mapmyrun.com is a great site - find walking/running/bike paths/routes in your neighborhood.

I use PT for all of my stuff because I don't like pulldowns. I also like mapmyrun.com

I always come back to PT also. I feel the vibe is calmer here, and I like their ideology - real health, no gimmicks. love their cheat system and cleanse.

I saw bodyrock.tv has an app... so of course, I'll download it...

I like hypnosis cds (audio files) Dr. Roberta Temes for weight loss is good. Eckhart Tolle, Tony Robbins, etc.

I use myfitnesspal to log my food calories, but am not really happy with it. All the food choices seem to be entered by participants - so their trustworthiness is suspect. Also they rarely use weights for the measurements, which I rely on for acuracy. Eventually I will get all my foods entered the way I want - maybe it will be better then. I used to use Calorie King - really liked their logging format, but got tired of paying for it - and their system that you had to lose a certain amount of weight before you could advance in the "Calorie University." Love PT for their free sharing of information!

I have a BodyMedia armband and love it! Having some sense of how much I've moved in a day really keeps me busy, and honest.
