I realize this is not health related.....

but I want to burn some road trip cd's for this weekend, and I am looking for some songs to keep us going. A little about us road trippers, we're 25, females, and like a little from each decade. If anyone has any all-time favorite songs, I'd like to hear them. I'm a music person and like a little of everything, so please give me some ideas. Thanks.

over the hills and far away (can't go wrong with led zepplin and a road trip)

The following song with the lyrics:
They say the road that they walk on is paved in gold
it's always summer, it never gets cold
I can't remember the name!

Oasis. Definitely.
Cold play, the first cd
vintage REM
journey (I know, cheesy but great!)
Classic beattles
classical (on road trips, sometimes you really need this, you get into your head and think about stuff you haven't thought of in forever.

Fastball

Thats the groups name who sings those lyrics.

I actually met a girl named Journey the other day in Manhattan. She claimed that her mother liked the name, but did not think the band would make it or be remembered. Thought it was kind of funny!

Classic Rock, songs you can all sing along to, John Mellencamp, Tom Petty, Credence Clearwater, anything old school...
Even some Britney, Justin, Jessica, etc., cheesy pop music is fun just b/c you can be silly and sing along.

I am also 25 and just did a road trip with my girlfriends...

Sugar, Sugar - The Archies
I will Survive - Gloria Gaynor
9-5 - Dolly parton
Take Me Home Tonight - Eddie Money
Money, that's what I want - Flying Lizards (From Empire Records)
Tainted Love - Soft Cell
Your Love - The Outfield ("Josie's on a vacation far away...")
Feel Good Inc - The Gorillaz
The Middle - Jimmy Eat World
Manic Monday - The Bangles
Hey Ya - Outkast
I apologize - Prick
Dreaming - Blondie

Okay, i can go on forever, these are a few of my picks, although it depends on your personality a lot...I'm a fan of upbeat sing-a-long songs, and obviously the 80's.

Have a great time!!

I'm not quite sure why, but the song "New Sensation" by INXS always makes me think of cruisin' down the freeway!
