workout music - what do you listen to?

Hi everyone,

I am bored with the contents of my ipod and need to stock up on some good workout music. What do you listen to that really energizes you? My favorite of late is Madonna's new CD but I've kind of worn it out. Also have some Brazilian music, Buddha Bar (not the chillout CD obviously).. but they are boring me to death now and I'm stuck for ideas. help!

I've heard 80's music is the way to go...

I listen to Thousand Foot Krutch - It's impossible not to get in the groove with them going. They even have a song called "Move". Makes my feet twitch and I usualy set my pace to their beat. You can check them out at - they stream some music at their site.

There is a hip hop station I listen to that does a 12 noon workout. They really pump it up and give exercise/diet tips instead of commercials for 25 minutes. I tape that and listen to it when I workout. It is fabulous.

80s music is good for me if I have to listen to music, because the songs are generally lively and energetic and the tempos are mostly good for working out. And I graduated in 1984...

But mostly, I don't listen to music. I work out outside and prefer the sounds of birds, water, breeze, whatever.
