The Ultimate Compliment

Today someone told me my weight loss was an inspiration to her to lose weight because I look so great. I'm only half way there. I thought it was a fantastic compliment that I inspire others.

What other amazing compliments have other PT members received?

The best somplimne ti recieved was from my hubby, who happens to LOVE my butt. He said "hey, i think your butt is getting smaller!"
I just laughed and said "I hope so!" Then he frowned and told me not to let it ALL disapear! :)

Two people have told me I look "tiny." I always wanted to be small, and imagined myself being small and cute, but was always kind of chubby and cute. Now that I have lost 35 pounds, I am tiny and I love it.

Mid-way through my weight loss, I was trying on a sweater at the Gap and it didn't look quite right, and the saleslady said "You need a smaller size." I was shocked.

One that sticks in my mind (from the last time I lost this weight, however) was a salesman at the Gap -- I was having trouble processing the fact that I was suddenly a size 4, and so having trouble finding pants that fit -- who said, when I finally found the right size, "Girl, you are WEARING those!"

The ultimate compliment I had was my my surgeon (I recently had to have back surgery). Pre-surgery he was going over how I would feel post-surgery and said "I expect you to make a quick recovery - you are very athletic." Since he had just made me go through an extensive battery of physical tests I was thrilled! After surgery when he stopped in to check on me, i was concerned because my pulse was so low but he said "that is to be expected in someone who is in good cardiovascular shape - I could only wish all my patients had vitals like yours." It may be silly but I was glowing!

a good friend casually mentioned that i was athletic, and it really suprised me and made me feel good. but the real ultimate compliment was a simple one that i got from my boyfriend. i was in the shower and when he accidently walked in and saw me (sorry if this is TMI) he said "wow! i can tell you've been working out!" i know it's simple but i could tell he meant it and it made me feel great!

At Victoria's Secret the woman asked me what size I was looking for, I said large and she said, "Girl, are you crazy?" I love her. :)

Awesome compliments!

When my male friend who hadn't seen me for six months looked at me and with a shocked look on his face told me, "you're so SKIN-ny!"

When after the wedding of my cousin, my grandparents called up members of the family who hadn't made it to the wedding and told them how great I looked.

When my roommate up and joins Weight Watchers because my weightloss has become such an inspiriation to her.

When I'm being carded and the person checking my ID has to look REALLY closely to see if it's really me! (Can't wait to get my license renewed next year!)

Dont interrupt him; he's checking me out!

Last week I was walking out of a public bar to go to their bathroom that are outside the entrance when a dude was trying to get the bouncers attention and the bouncer said to the dude "hang on, this hot girl is walking by and I don't want to miss it". The bouncer is a high school football coach and very cute and super muscular. I would assume a man like that would know a good body when he saw it.

When I put on a shirt and asked my mom if if looked okay on me and she said yeah and I asked her again and said this is the shirt that I wore last time and you said that it was too tight and she said "Yes, but your stomach is flatter now." I loved it.

Went to the DMV to get my new address on my driver's license. The woman asked me if I wanted to keep the same picture and I said I didn't care...then she looked up at me and said, "Oh no girl - you look fantastic - you are getting a new picture today!". I probably weighed 40 lbs less than when the last picture was taken...it was nice that she didn't say it was for security reasons, but that she just wanted me to look good. :) That was the best DL picture I ever took!

great thread!

yesterday i saw my landlady for the first time in about 10 days, and she remarked that my hard work was finally paying off!! i was psyched because i have been working diligently for over a year, after being on medications that caused tremendous weight-gain, and really saw no changes in my physique-until last weekend, i was sure i could see a difference. but when i saw her yesterday, she was soooo happy for me-it really confirmed to me that it was noticable to others...yay!!!

I went to a doctor's appointment with my husband and the doctor told my husband that he had such a nice "thin wife" and that we should be a matching couple. It made me feel great and hopefully motivated my husband to lose the 40 pounds that the doctor recommended he lose.

I was getting my wedding gown fitted this weekend, and the woman brought me one of those corset-type strapless bras that come down to your waist, and she and my mom kept saying things like, "that's all you need to wear, that and a garter belt, and you could be in Playboy!" And she kept commenting on how flat my stomach is, and how slim I am in comparison to my big boobs!

Also, twice in the past week, I've been "measured" in a store to a size 32DD bra! Although I'd like my boobs a little smaller, that size sounds so damn hot!
