Calorie Wiki

Great idea! I think I'm really gonna use it!! I eat Seattle Sutton's (they do my cooking/planning) and we rotate through 5 weeks of menus - I'm going to load the 5 week's of menus and the nutritional information so it's right there for me and I can see it in my log!

But here's the thing....
I noticed that when you add it to the log it only transfers over the calorie amounts from the nutritional information....

Many of us follow different programs that require us to watch the ratio for carbs, protein and fat...

Is there anyway we can make the grams of carbs, protein and fat info. log into our log automatically like the calories do? That's what I'm REALLY looking for and it will help me in my logging and tracking that I'm following my 40/40/20 ratio required for my Body For Life program!!!!

Thanks!!!
Blozzom :-)

Great suggestion, is on the roadmap, glad to see there is demand for it. We will be doing a ton with the wiki. Please use it as much as possible and get as much feedback to us as quickly as possible.

AWESOME!!

I am glad that PT finally has something like this - thanks! It would be nice if you could add a portion of the serving size to your log. I know that you can "add a serving size" and that is what I ended up doing, however, first I had to write down the amounts for the cup serving size, then figure the math for half that, then "add the new" 1/2 cup serving size with all the details. Is there a way to streamline this process???

I have been using fitday.com to log all of my foods and calories. There are some definite advances to PEERtrainer's system - I love that you can add a pic! That's awesome.

QUESTIONS

Okay, so are there totals somewhere? If not, what is the point in entering all the information besides calories? Only the cals are added to the logs. Some people are tracking protein/fat/carb percentages.Or sodium intake. It is a really nice feature, but if it is going to be useful - it needs to be harmonized with the current PEERtrainer features.

Star- it will be very shortly. Every tweak you can imagine will be rolled out-- this is just the beginning.

I work as a sys admin-- once information is in a database it is a very simple task to export it, manipulate it, etc.

Star, I think it's useful in many different ways. Just because you want something, doesn't mean that someone else doesn't find many great things about it. Give PT a break.

PT, i know you said you are working on many developments. Will automatically tallying the totals be one of these features? (or subtracting from a daily allowance)? Will Weight Watchers Points be available as well?

Yes to the first question. In terms of WW Points, we hope to be able to do that. There is a patent issue that has to be explored.

for Laura99

Laura, I do find it great, I'm sure I already mentioned that it was AWESOME! (see abouve post.) PT asked for feedback, and I am giving it to them. It's not a questions of what I want - it's a question of what will make the product better. I invite you to use the tool and make any suggestions that you have as well. If you don't find it lacking in any way for you - then awesome! That's great. I wish you luck with your weight loss goals.

This is YOUR opinion. If you start to say things aren't useful, what motivation is there to create? Yes, there can always be improvements. But it doesn't mean it's not useful in its current form.
