Rewards!
Does anyone have any ideas for nice rewards that are inexpensive & don't involve food? I want to give myself rewards for attaining short term goals, but I'm not sure where to start.

pedicure, manicure, time - time to read a book, watch a movie, go to a matinee, allow yourself to do stuff you really want to, but never do, nice long bath, buy something little like new underwear or earrings, glass of wine and listen to music or whatever,...

Mp3 player to aid in workouts. DVD's to aid in workouts. Weights, etc you see where this is going? Or you could do clothing, or concerts. What about a class like tennis lessons at the community center (cheaper then tennis instructor). A session with personal trainer.
I also believe in mini rewards like books, magazines, cds, candles I am not a spa or manicure person soooo....
Do you collect an item?

Here's a free and exhilarating reward: go through your closet and find all the clothes you can wear now that you could not wear a few months ago. Put on your favorite, and strut in front of the mirror a bit. The thrill will last for days!

I wonder how many females think of sex as a reward.

hahahaha. I got a good laugh at the sex one. Thanks for my laugh for the day. :)
sincerely,
a female who likes sex just fine but would never consider it a reward. :)

To the 1:41 poster. I like sex too, but I am left wondering if you are a man?
Although sex can burn a lot of calories!!

put reward $ into a savings account for a vacation to show off your new body in a cute swimsuit

OP
These are great! Keep 'em coming!
BTW, I agree with some of the other posters on here...I wouldn't consider sex a reward, but instead a bonus workout! LOL

Guess it depends on one's living situation -- a trip to visit my sweetie (and have sex) is definitely a reward. :-)

Sex can be very rewarding, but I don't know that I would "use it as a reward."

That is true I used the expensive teeth whitening to help me quit smoking it worked and even though most people didn't notice I did and it made me feel wonderful about myself!!!!

Haha, sex poster here. I was just kidding!!! But, the OP wanted a reward that was inexpensive and didnt involve food (most of the time!) ;)
(And no, not a man!!!)

A couple rewards I've given myself (I like to cook):
- A good santoku knife for chopping all those fruits and veggies I now eat (and a good knife sharpener)
- A great stockpot for making homemade veg soups

How about a pamper day for yourself? a nice soak in the tub, get your favorite music and some candles? GIve yourself a pedicure and manicure? :-)

new shoes are also a great reward. you won't keep changing sizes as you drop weight, so they'll last longer than any new clothes.

OP again
Thanks again, everyone!
That was really helpful!
