Good meatless burger?

I was googling for a good low point yet healthy food- and I came across this veggie burger. I tolerate Boca burgers on occaison- has anyone tried the Veggie Patch products?

I have not tried that line of foods. However WIldwood products found in natural food stores has a veggie burger made of tofu and yummy veggies like kale, carrots, and onions. It is fabulous. Comes 2 to a package and retails about $4.00.You just heat it up. I think WW pts it is 2 pts per burger. They are really filling.Boca burgers are so full of wheat these are not.

I haven't tried those either. I like Garden Burgers, particularly the chipotle black bean ones.

I like Dr. Praeger's brand (California burgers), and Quorn products are really, really good.

i cut portabello mushrooms, carrots (unpeeled), onions, red bell pepper and eggplant into chunks, toss with olive oil, herbs & seasonings, and roast for about 35 minutes or until tender. let cool slightly and in a cuisinart or other chopper, pulse until mixed well-not completely minced, but still a little chunky. mix in some brown rice (cooked and cooled). form into patties and chill before grilling or baking. enjoy!

2:48 that sounds soo good!

why no peeling the carrots?

not peeling the carrots adds a bit more fiber (and nutrients). the fiber helps the "burger" stay together. you can of course change the vegetables used, but be careful about the amount of water that the selected vegetables will give off. (for instance, tomatoes will add a lot of moisture, but sundried tomatoes would just add flavor without the extra water). zucchini will also give off more moisture than is ideal, as do regular mushrooms. you can also use millet or quinoa in place of brown rice.

i agree with the above poster- morningstar farm burgers are delicious! i love the black beans burgers, and also the spicy chick patties. they have a wide variety of meatless patties and all the ones i've tried have been great.
also try the amy's burgers. i haven't had one yet, but i've never had an amy's product that wasn't awesome.
