I don't strictly follow the slimfast diet, but I routinely have them as a quick breakfast or lunch when I get stuck at work. They're filling, and as a meal replacement are fairly low in calories especially when compared to whatever junk I would otherwise buy if stuck needing a fast meal.

I tried it for a day and found it impossible to drink my calories. Maybe it was all in my mind but I needed something to chew. That night I ate an entire pizza. Too much deprivation feeling for me.

I agree with above posters. I've tried it for a day or two & felt VERY deprived, ended up pigging out. I use it like the 3:15 poster said, when I'm hungry & in a jam. They come in very handy.

Hope this helps!

It is definitely simple and cheap and i still enjoy some of their products (peanut butter crunch bars if I ever want candy for example).

I used it to kick start my weight loss, but I only followed it for a month to see the dramatic results (and they most definitely are if you can stick to it) and during that month I plotted how I would eat and exercise when I started backing off of it. However I certainly felt hungry and deprived at first. That went away after a couple weeks though and when I began eat lite meals and smaller portions at meals instead of slim fast it was easy to feel full and satisfied.

When I'm trying to do a 4-5 meals-a-day program, I make Slimfast at least one of those. All that calcium and fiber and other vitamins can only be good, right? I also use cereal this way, but Slimfast has a bonus kick - the chocolate taste makes it feel like a treat and keeps me away from ice cream and candy bars.

Did you use the canned kind or the powder mix? I'm interested now and considering it for a week or two until I go off to college. Would it be worth it/would I see results if I only did it for 2 weeks?

2 weeks = REBOUND weight gain

IF you do the Slim Fast diet for two weeks, WATCH OUT for the rebound weight gain.

You will often gain all the weight you lost AND about 10% more within the next month!
