I have had such a day with the boys. I really want those extra 2-4 points of wine!!!! I am not a flex point counter. I give myself about 22 points a day or 24 and call it good. I need to lose at least 10 pounds. It is so hard. Would love words of incouragement.

You can do it! You and I know you can. Look yourself in the bathroom mirror and softly say it to yourself: "You can do it. You are strong."
Sounds corny, but it works!

What other things do you use to relax? Are they asleep? can you take a bath? Listen to music? Think of the things that relax you as much as wine does. Then pick one.

How about a nice walk? I know it sounds cheesy but whenever I'm in a funk I FORCE myself to start walking and by the time I'm down the block I'm already feeling better. I usually walk for about an hour and then feel sooooo much better when I get back. I've gotten exercise so I feel good plus I've let out some of the stress.

There's a great natural spray/drops you can get called "Rescue Remedy" by Bach that is flower essences that produce a more relaxed feeling. I keep some around for traumatic days, hard days as a mom etc. Just spritz it a couple times under the tongue. It works fine with pets and kids too, so is safe to keep around. No calories! You can find it in many stores here, especially places like Whole Foods, but I've even seen it in Safeway.
