Even the NY Times messed this one up!
When filming of “Tennessee” was pushed back indefinitely, she began a regimen of exercise and healthy diet to loose the weight. “People think it’s impossible to lose this much weight, but it’s not,” she said. “Everyone can do it; you just have to be really disciplined and want it.” She’s now working on a weight loss book and DVD.
This was an article about Janet Jackson in today's times. Even the smarties messed up Loose and Lose! Poor babies. lol

The NY Times is famous for their errors. Remember Jayson Blair a couple years back?

I am glad I am not the only one who can't spell!

the difference with you (or me, or most of us here) not being able to spell and the newspaper printing a misspelled word is that there are people who are paid (editors) to notice and correct such mistakes at the newspaper. it's not very good for their image...thankfully, there are people on this site who go out of their way to point out the errors that we humbly make, too...

A note on losing weight like Janet.....
Some people can add muscle very easily, others can work out diligently and never get the definition she has in her arms. I think most people would get good results using her same plan, but not everyone is going to drop 60# in four months.

nor should you try...

While not everyone will have the same muscle definition as her, I think she's a great example of the difference exercise and diet can make.
She has struggled with her weight throughout her life. She's not one of those genetically blessed women who can "eat anything I want and not workout an ouce". She obviously works for what she's got. Granted, it's part of her job to look like that, but she is absolute proof of where hard work can get you. I think she looks beatiful and strong which is far more attractive than most of the walking skeletons that fill the music and film industries.

seriously, this woman is 40 years old!! she looks amaaaaaazing!! she really looks healthy and confortable in her skin!! a real inspiration for me.

There was some rumors circulating that she had lost the weight via surgery, however, after seeing all the muscle definition in her body, I'd say it was hard work and sweat. Yes, her job is to look good, but I could not imagine all the pressure to look fit
