Women - deodorant suggestions

I do fine in normal daily life with a regular women's deodorant - Secret, Dove, etc. But when I work out, uh, well, I stink! My usual deodorant doesn't cut it. Have any of you women found a good deodorant that is strong enough to cover you during workouts? Please give me some ideas!

I try to avoid all the aluminum that is in most antiperspirants, but I don't get much out of the all natural brands....so, Adidas sells a brand that is Aluminum free. It is fantastic! Once a day and I am drier than I have ever been and no odor. It goes on clear and stays clear as well and isn't a sticky mess. I can't recommend it enough! I found it at the local Wal-Mart. :)

Do you know of any deoderant that won't melt in the car? I leave my workout bag in the car until after work and my deoderant keeps melting. Pretty sure its not the same effectiveness once its melted.

no deodorant

If I'm going to workout, I DON'T wear deodorant! I just shower and put on fresh clothes after. (And I always wear fresh workout clothes). The sweating is important for keeping you cool, right? (esp when running) And you can't really smear deodorant everywhere, but if you're working out hard, you sweat all over. It never occurred to me to worry about "offending" people at the gym... (hmmm, maybe I do?)
Oh, also, I discovered its best to put the sweaty clothes in a different locker from the clean clothes while you shower... :)

I use the adidas deod too & like it. I used to use the gel deod in my gym bag, which I left in my car, & it got really messy (somehow spurted out of the container from the heat), but a solid didn't seem to melt so easily for me.

I don't think there's any one answer, and what works for you now might not work for you 3 years down the line (I've heard that about shampoo, moisturizers, etc).

I use men's deodorant (I'm not a man) - Gillette gel.

Deodorant for Women Suggestions

Many deodorants and antiperspirants contain ingredients which can be aborbed into the bloodstream and the breast tissue. One such ingredient is aluminum. You can review this information on Wikipedia where they quote from the Journal of Applied Toxicology.

My suggestion is to get safe handmade deodorants from natural ingredients like at: http://www.deodorantforwomen.com Thats my site and we handcraft in small batches with safe, natural products.
